Yes I know it's Walmart, and the association that comes with this chain, but even considering that this store is dire. From surely, unhelpful staff, to dirty shelves through to many items not in stock this place surely has to be a last resort, and only if you're in the immediate vicinity. Great location, lots of other great stores and restaurants close by, open late! I'm here pretty much every week, sometimes twice a week! Fresh produce, meat, etc. Plus they'll match literally ANY flyer that you bring, or anything you pull up on line with apps like Flipp! Really saves you having to go to 15 different stores! Return line can get slow, they don't always have enough staff on at night... But otherwise it's a nice store, cashiers are nice too! read more

Clean, spacious and full of variety. I come on Monday's to avoid crowds. I appreciate that they recently started accepting tap.....finally. The con is probs the understaffed entertainment area, lack of price scanners and irresponsible response to COVID-19 measures at times. The self-checkout barely enforces distancing and does not sanitize the monitors consistently, it just depends when you visit. This seems like a lot of cons, but I give this Walmart 3 stars. Good pantry items, cleaning supplies, and everything you need. Do not shop here as my main store, but after the recent renovation it has definitely been a good atmosphere to shop in. read more

This Wal Mart has been reorganized to support the Super Center remodeling of the interior space. This Wal Mart was also a migrant from what used to be the Wal Mart at Honeydale mall on Dundas just east of 427. This strip mall big box area across from Sherway Gardens is a very busy area that includes Best Buy, Old Navy, EB, Home Depot, etc. Parking here while there is parking all the way to part where North Queen meets the Queensway is still a very busy area on weekends. This particular Wal Mart has packed a lot more since the addition of additional groceries and the the shuffling around of departments to accommodate that addition. It's still a very busy place an any given day but especially on weekends. The electronics section most notably that used to be in the middle of the store has moved far to the back and to the left. Besides that this place is still a Wal Mart that has more now than before but still has what it had before including your garden center, hardware etc. The restaurant in the store is still McDonald's after the checkout in the south west part of the building. I find the Wal Mart near Dundas and Dixie is much more spacious and it seems to be bigger. They take passport photos at the Dundas and Dixie one but not the North Queen one. read more

Good Place to get your household stuff ! Surprisingly enough for a Walmart, the staff here is great and they assist you with a smile. We first had to do a return, even though there was a line up, the rep smiled and dealt with each customer happily. Being the Halloween season, a separate section for Candies was assigned and it was arranged in a much accessible manner. The isles are narrow and hence the carts tend to bump into one another. They were a few things we wanted which weren't available, even though they were on the flyer, that was a little disappointing. The Wifi here doesn't work at all, it connects but the security site never opens. As we leave for cashing out, a rep comes to us and tells us to come to a new booth where she can help, we had many items to do price match and she did each of them with a smile, no grimace at all !! All in All it had its ups and downs, but overall a good enough place to shop ! read more

Located by Sherway Gardens mall, this is a good place to go there if you want to keep things within driving distance of your shopping errands. Usually I go to the one closer to my home, WalMart near the GO Station on Dixie, but since was in the neighborhood I decided to go this location. The place is too small to be a Superstore seems like are trying to pack this place with more stuff then it should. The fresh foods area is squeezed in that location when you compare it to other superstores. After getting what I need to get with my family, we cashed out at the express lanes near the exits plain center view of the security guard. As we were leaving he asked to see our receipt which I find odd cause we were in his line of sight when cashing out didn't make sense to see if were stealing. I find this whole experience a huge thumbs down on my shopping experience at WalMart. The security guards random receipt checks is based on their gut feeling shouldn't be done that way. The only reason I can think he asked for our receipt is because we didn't buy grocery bags which led the rookie detective guy to think we were stealing. To WalMart head office, if you want to have all customers have a good shopping experience. Please treat everybody in the same manner, have your security guards check everybody's receipts like at Costco these random Airport security receipt checks IMO are very bad profiling detective work by your team. These kind of dumb experiences really makes it easier to shop online so you don't have to deal with these knuckleheads at the Walmart exits. Yelpers let me know if you share the same experiences with these Loss "their Minds" prevention team. One quick note, the security guard job is to prevent store inventory loss. Shopping at Wal-mart for groceries is basically the equivalent for shopping at Winners for clothes. There's a lot of stuff that used to be kinda cool/good, but now you're desperately sifting through the crap looking for the "good stuff" amongst the chaff, hoping that it's clean. I mean this would apply specifically to anything fresh (meat, veggies, fruit, dairy) the only safe thing to purchase worry free was the frozen and grocery items. That was at least until Walmart recently began to offer grocery deliveries for all orders over $50. I was a little misinformed because the website reads that delivery should be FREE after $50 spent but for some reason, it comes with a $10 charge. My one qualm with this process. Now, I should state, I hate grocery shopping, it's time-consuming between the list making, the walking, the picking, the checkout, the packing up, the drive to and from, the load in and out of the car, the load into the house, the unpack... holy shit! Is there anything worse? I'd sooner gouge my own eyes out So back when I used to use Grocery Gateway paying $10 for eliminating all that was a no brainer. Then I started noticing GG was on crack cocaine with their grocery prices (What do you mean a bundle of Asparagus is $13 does it cook itself and sing to you while eating it?) - naturally, I discontinued their services. But then, mix the low prices of Wal-Mart with that $10 charge and my bill was still about 30 cheaper than me weekly trip to no-frills! AND best of all, I think they saved all the good produce and fresh goods for delivery because everything was perfect - no bruised mini apples, not anorexic asparagus, no grey chicken... perfect all of it! The world is slowly getting more and more convenient in dangerous ways. If Wal-mart keeps this us they may have a new lifetime customer on their hands. :) :) read more

This Walmart is SO frustrating for me because it is conveniently located fairly close to me but it's the absolute WORST with restocking. They have good products at great prices but every time I go I see empty shelves. They never have my Nespresso and they leave all the merchandising planograms right on the shelves... for weeks or more at a time. It just look's so unkempt and with those papers adorning all the shelves it's confusing to the eye, I'm pretty sure only the staff and merchandisers should see that info anyway. The greens are pretty bad here but I find they have a decent selection, problem is I don't really find them all that fresh. At least the watered greens area (parsley, dill, cilantro, mint etc) tends to be less fresh the rest of the produce seems comparable to any other grovery store I visit. There always seems to be boxes in the aisles here like they are perpetually stocking shelves with invisible items, it wouldn't be so bad but it seems to never end and the place is always a mess. The stock itself really doesn't change much either which can quickly get boring and as I mentioned they do not really seem to manage their stock properly by ensuring the obviously popular items are available. The staff here are hit or miss, they can be decent but I have found that some can be rather rude and particularly testy about the express lane. I can understand but in my particular situation I was actually directed there by staff as the store was about to close, so getting the whole lecture on counting was really unnecessary. There really isn't much else to say about the service, they are not particularly fast, efficient or pleasant but it is Walmart and I do not expect much in that regard. That being said I have had very few out right negative experiences and I have been frequenting here as it is the most convenient and my boyfriend is stead fast in his insistence on shopping there. Either way I will be back for the above mentioned points but I do wish they would make some improvements. If a better option presents itself I will of course opt for it instead read more

Horrible. Calling to find out if they have a disability cart, the phone ran forever, then someone picked up and hung up the phone. I called again and actually drove ten minutes to the location, no one ever picked and the customer service person only cared about how she hadn't set the phone to ring for the caller but not the customer service desk. And no, they haven't repaired the disability carts. They haven't had them for months and have covered up the space they had been charged with sales items. Done with this non-responsive store, they been asked many times to rectify this problem. Can you give a minus rating? read more

WOW - I'm actually sitting at my computer laughing at some of these reviews. Clearly none of you have experienced the misery that is REXDALE WALMART. Or the complete lack of selection at Dufferin Walmart. By comparison, this Wal-Mart is a wonderful dream. There is always tons of stock and check out is quick and easy. I've found it to be clean every time I have gone, granted I do not shop the grocery section. There's a Guinness lady cashier, refuse to take cash because she assumed she doesn't have the change. The way she talk is rude and after the payment went though, the machine opened and THERE ARE CHANGES!!!!! I'm usually a big fan of this Walmart. But today they ought to be ashamed. I found a really comfy bra on Saturday and came back to get another one today. Despite the $16 price tag on the bra, It scanned at $17. I picked the bra from the bag and showed the cashier, who was already not having such a hot day on the job. She scanned it again and then called her manager who had already spent 10 minutes with her looking up the price of top soil for the women in front of me. The price came up at $17. Get this: the manger says: "Oh, I guess it's $17 then." Um, REALLY? The price tag says differently and that's really bad. I told her I'd already bought one on Saturday and it was $16, and the price tag says $16 so that's what I'm paying. This confused the hell out of the cashier, but the manager changed the price. Finally, in a last gesture of idiocy, the cashier holds the plain green cabbage I had selected and goes "What's THIS?". Are you joking me? It's a freakin' CABBAGE you know, like CABBAGE rolls, corned beef and CABBAGE, holy crap. I was so glad to finally leave. read more

I came here looking for a Winners, and ended up at a Walmart. Although from the front it looks like any other run down version of the store, I think they are renovating. It's a bit brighter than normal, and the entire middle section is getting renewed. To the right is a entire section of George clothing, and shoes mens and womens. Around the back are some home decor things, pillows and linens. There's a section for crafts, and cakes and other creative things. It was Thursday around 4pm, and it was really quiet, and I had a nice time looking and shopping. There was only one main cash open, and 3 express lane cashes. They were friendly, but I was annoyed that I had to listen to a women try to convince me to get a Walmart mastercard. read more

Walmart is like my Cottage. Every weekend, when rich people go to their cottages, I go to Walmart. I enjoy strolling down the aisles. I do not own a bike, but when I feel like taking a bike ride - I got to Walmart. They have everything you need. Being a Super Center took got everything from food to Spider-Man underwear. Every once in a while I venture into this Wal-Mart, if what I'm trying to find isn't available at the stores in Sherway Gardens or in the surrounding plazas and power centres. As often as not it's been a mistake; the place is always a packed madhouse, and the selection still isn't perfect. Once I was trying to find a stick hand blender, and all they had on the shelf was the beat-up display model. Definitely avoid this place on weekends and other peak times. It will take forever to get through the checkout. Even the "express" lanes are slow, and you have to listen to a horribly annoying robot voice saying, "Please-go-to-...... FIVE" "Please-go-to-...... SEVEN". You'll be screaming "Please-go-to-...HELL!" within ten minutes. read more

Simply put... I LOVE WalMart... I thank them for all that they do! Haters can go (you know what) they've helped communities by providing hundreds and thousands of jobs to the LOCAL people, offering lower priced items IN THE COMMUNITIES they are in for those who would otherwise not be able to afford such things... they offer a better quality of life for so many people. The mom and pop shops are the ones that don't invest in the community... don't offer many jobs... jack up prices and keep the money all for themselves! No thanks! I stopped here the other day...I like that this location has groceries - I was looking for Panko, and couldn't find it (it may or may not have been there, but I didn't look that hard). This location was pretty busy, but the cash out line was relatively quick. It was a Sunday afternoon that may have accounted for it's busy-ness. As I tried to return a defective $3.00 Great Value food item to the Walmart at Weston Road and Major Mackenzie, I was met with nothing but challenges from the customer service clerk. The most disgusting thing she said was "what do you expect from a Great Value" product. I recently moved to the area and I am NOT impressed with this store. Long lines, always! (I have tried morning, afternoon and night). They need to stop being cheap and hire more cashiers. Prices don't scan at advertised price. I have had to wait in the long customer service line, only to have the staff be hesitant to go verify the price and the first time this happened the cashier failed to tell me I'm supposed to get the item for free since I was overcharged. You can't find floor staff to help you with anything. It's dirty and the last time I was there staff dropped cabbage on the floor and put it back on the shelf. There are never any shopping carts inside. I recommend driving down the street to sobeys or target (which is priced the same as walmart and has a better quality no name brand), The manager never called me back to hear my feedback. read more

Went to Walmart to get 2 passport photos. The person at the photo booth sends me to another area. When I ask why the price is $24.99, Becca who is managing the booth tells me that is their price. I pay it and go to talk to someone at the Customer Service. I do a Google search and ask her to match the price. She tells me that she cannot match the $8.99 on the google search as the studio is not part of Walmart even though the receipt says Walmart Portraits. She tells me that I should have gone to the Walmart in Mississauga. I am dissatisfied with the person who sent me to the portrait studio instead of giving me this information initially. Do not make the mistake of paying $24.99 when you can get the same for $8.99 at the Mississauga location, CAA or even Costco. A Google search cannot list the stores providing this service and the price. Time to find another search engine to replace Google. read more
