I called 2 weeks after the wedding and Roxanne was supremely helpful in finding a way to pull the receipt up from the records. The situation: For lack of better judgement, I decided to try to give your website a chance buying an item that was clearly listed on sale. Then I proceeded to check out and the item magically switched to full price. I called the next day to explain the checkout glitch explaining to "the manager" I had screenshots, time stamped to show the validity of being within the one day sale time limi, clearly showing the website mistake but the Hudsons Bay company refused to honor the price that it was listed for. Not wanting to argue with unethical management I decided to find it elsewhere. On the many , many, many websites that carry the same exact item for better price and free 2 day shipping. All I have to say for you is thank God you guys dropped the ball on e-commerce. I'm sure the till has that capability. She sighed in frustration and finally decided to manually enter the number after numerous failed attempts at scanning. Wola it worked with the correct price!! It's smaller than others, there wasn't the same selection of merchandise that other locations have and things seemed laid out pretty oddly. Parking was also pretty tight for a weekend. It WAS quiet, though, which is nicer than having to dodge people and their carts in the little aisles. The air fryer that was on sale was a bit too big. It looks like it would take up too much counter space and my place doesn't have much counter space. I did end up getting the Brita water filter. It was on sale 10 to 20% off the regular price. I bought the space saver 6 cups water filter for $21. The return policy isn't the best at Canadian tire. I opened it and there was a defect and I can't bring it back. Canadian tire has a policy about not taking any opened items back. So I had to deal with the manufacturer now. oh well. The manufacturer was willing to replace it. The store is located on the second floor, above Urban Fare. The store isn't super big. But it has a really big selections of small appliances and household items.

No photos, no contact information, few or no friends and a bare minimum of reviews. And to be honest, Yelp is not as big a factor in Canada. Because I was new to the store I had quite a challenge finding some products. This was largely due to different packing used in Canada. For instance, their molasses comes in a milk like carton. I was hunting something in glass which is a US thing. Their ground beef was packaged in tubes. I typically see it in wrapped clear plastic. Pointing this out because more than a few times I asked someone for help and they went clear out of their way to assist me on multiple visits. Score a big plus for customer service. The selection here is pretty vast. I'd say if you're not finding it here then you're looking for something that's a bit beyond the typical grocer. Also of note, I like the fact that besides a grocery, there's a pretty large department store one one open end where you can buy things like bath towels, clothing, etc., etc. Came in handy as I needed to pick up some items for our family that had just moved into a new home here. All in all, I'm good with RCS and would not hesitate to shop here if I lived here. Rest of our family uses it and approves. Is it all slicked up with a feel good vibe and the most modern design? It is not, but it's also nowhere near the 1.5 star rating in this writer's opinion.

But recently I walked by and saw a really nice party dress...perfect for the holiday season. I was in a rush though so I noted the dress and came back about a week later on a weekend. The dress was no longer on display but I found it easily enough on the rack. They had a few sizes left and thankfully one that looked like it would fit. No sooner did I have the dress in hand, did a sales woman offer to start a fitting room for me. A little pushy but after that she didn't bother me so I can't complain. I quickly glanced around the store. There was a lot going on and most of the styles I saw weren't my thing. I think they cater to a slightly older crowd (late 40's/50's +) (they did have a cruise wear section). They also have stuff that I'd consider to be a little more whimsical/unique in design which isn't my personal preference but I could picture some women I know who would love the clothes there. The dress fit perfectly (yay for in-change-room mirrors) and I made the purchase...at just a little over $100 it was a good deal on a party dress in my opinion. I'd recommend shopping at this store on the weekends as it always looks a bit busy during weekdays. Also, during the week they have live mannequins stationed at the door. They creep me out a little bit but others may not mind :)

Today (very upset) because the lights were on, 2 ladies working in the store and the doors were locked. I knocked and the moment the saw me, they went to the back room. I was trying to make an exchange which will now become a return and I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN.
