After purchasing a swim suit at the end of November 2025 for $120 , it has turned out to have defective construction. One of the bra cups at first would fold over inside the suit and now it is falling out! Upon examination the seam beside the cup was not attached to the side of the suit at all. After speaking to the manager I was told nothing could be done since I use the suit about twice a week. Very poor value and service for the price. read more

Visited the store for the 1st time last month. A young pleasant girl was incredibly helpful and assisted me in finding a bathing suit I really liked. Went on holidays and after having worn the bathing suit twice noticed the top fabric was fraying and pilling. Returned to the store after our holidays and showed an older lady, owner, I believe, the defective bathing suit. She was abusive, rude, and condescending, insinuating I was at fault. The bathing suit was not inexpensive and I was not interested in getting the same brand replacement top as I was worried the same thing would occur as soon as I swam again. This woman told me after I relayed my concerns, if it did happen again they would not stand behind their merchandise. This woman left me no other alternative and told me," I should not shop there if I could not afford it and told me they do not like customers like me. Said they do not warranty anything in the store. She was very very abusive in front of a number of customers, shouting at me as I left the store. Truly unbelievable, I will not return. read more

Absolutely terrible service! I went to this store because they advertise that they carry all sizes for all shapes and figures. When I went in, i had to ask for assistance with finding a bathing suit. When asked what size I wear, the sales clerk begrudgingly pulled out a few suits close to my size. Instead of helping me find more swim suites, she stood there impatient as I tried to look for other options than the incorrect sizes she pulled. I eventually tried the suits she gave me because looking through the massive selection without any help was pointless. One of the bathing suits was 2 cup sizes to big, the other 3 cup sizes to small and one was a mastectomy bathing suit (not appropriate in my situation). The staff was borderline rude. They didn't offer to size me (which is something they advertise) and they didn't bothered to check if I needed a different size. I was the only one shopping yet they didn't seem to have the time for me, it was like I was interrupting them form something more important than a sale. They also proceeded to bad mouth another store that carries hard to find bathing suit sizes. I ended up leaving this store and went to the store she was bad mouthing and found 3 perfectly fitting bathing suits. Bottom line; Terrible service Terrible attitude towards customers Take your money elsewhere. read more

I visited this store yesterday for the first time in a couple years & they did not disappoint. It is a challenge for me to find bathing suits so my cups don't spilleth over Lol. Not only did they have swimsuits that fit larger in the bust but had suits with an actual cup size. The young lady there was SUPER helpful, pulling suits in my size that I would've found tedious & frustrating. She knew the merchandise. The other lady (owner?) kept checking in with me to see how I was doing & ask if I needed help or another size. Even if you're too shy to ask for help (which I'm not) someone was right there to offer assistance before your self-esteem plummets & you give up. The prices were so affordable I bought 2: $95 each! They had some for $175 & I would've likely only bought 1 at that price. I tried on my favourites first & bought those. SO happy with the fit, price & service. I was struggling to find a one-piece swimsuit to fit my chest, and came across Shapes n Figures on the web. Their site boasts a wide range of sizes ("6-26" and "bra cup sizing up to J"), "a great swimsuit for every shape and every figure," "proper professional fittings" and 20+ years in business, so I was expecting a few things from the store: 1. Good customer service 2. Expertise in sizing 3. Good selection Unfortunately, it lacked all of the above. By the time I left, I was absolutely fuming at the terrible customer service experience and complete lack of sizing assistance. There were two attendants and one other customer in the store. After maybe 10 minutes I was still looking through the racks (which were not obviously organized in any particular fashion) and had picked out four suits to try. I was asked if I was finding what I was looking for. When I said "Sort of": "What are you looking for?" "A one-piece to fit my chest." "What purpose is it going to serve?" "It'd just be for casual swimming at a lake." "Well for $200 bucks a pop, [brand] won't go in chlorine swimming pools. But if you've got nothing better to do with $200 you can come back in two months when it's wrecked." I guess the rack I was looking at was full of that brand. I was taken aback for a few reasons: 1. I hadn't mentioned swimming in a pool 2. She didn't offer any assistance as far as fitting, which I mentioned first and was expecting, given the "proper professional fittings" mention online 3. She didn't suggest where in the store I might be better off looking 4. It seemed like a pretty crass way to speak about product in one's store 5. She didn't offer to start a fitting room for me, despite the four suits I was holding. It never got any better. I was never asked how things were fitting when I was in the fitting room, they never offered to try and find other sizes for me, never suggested alternatives. They didn't speak to me at all. They seemed to be helping the other customer a little bit more, but mostly sat on the chairs by the rooms doing nothing. I have had far superior sizing and customer service in mall stores which don't even boast about their sizing abilities. Needless to say, I will never go back. read more

Apparently I should have read previous review before shipping in the store. I had shopped in this store a couple of years ago and an older lady was wonderful in assisting me with the purchase of two swimsuits. This visit proved to be not so. I have never written a review of anything before but when I left the store angry at the lack of customer service I felt I needed to say something. No one came from the back until I had been in the store for awhile. When she finally surfaced it was to let me know that there wasn't much product in my size, show me about 3 suits off of a small rack, and leave without offering any suggestions. I felt like I had taken her away from something much more pressing than actually helping a customer. When I asked a couple of questions the responses were curt and she acted like she had a chip on her shoulder and that she was mad at me for something. After leaving the store I went to Swimco and the service was like night and day. I spent almost $600.00 there with the assistance of a very approachable young lady. Perhaps if the service had been better at Shapes and Figures, they would have gotten my $600 instead. Their loss! read more
