We bought 6 household appliances in September 2018. This week one of the appliances (microwave…read morehood) is defective. It can no longer function at all, as soon as it is plugged in it blows the circuit breaker and electrical sparks damaging the electrical outlets. This manufacturing defect is a huge risk of fire. We called the Accent Meuble store in Mont Laurier today (04/30/2020) to be told that since this purchase was made more than a year ago, the merchant can do nothing. According to them, we can only do business with the manufacturer only. Absolutely absurd that an electro manager is in major default after 18 months and that the merchant washes his hands! We are going to post a review on all social media and start the process with the Office de la Protection du Consommateur du Québec.

This is a Winners (which for my American friends is like a TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross Dress for Less, etc.) that is attached to a Homesense (like the houseware version of Winners). This location doesn't carry a lot of cool brands and there is no "Runway Section." That being said, I have found a few pieces here, but mostly just athletic wear. Unless it's a return from another location, you likely won't find any fashion-forward items here. I love Winners in general, and I still go hoping to score that awesome find one day, lol. The space is big and it looks like other suburban Winners (as opposed to the "urban concept" Winners or the quirkiest Winners I've been to which is the one on Front St in Toronto which is in the space of several converted row homes). This is in a strip mall, so naturally lots of free parking.

The Winners is collocated with the HomeSense next door, and they share a checkout line. So sometimes the checkout line is crazy long. On the flip side, it is convenient if you need to do some shopping on both sides and only want to check out once. This is the only location we've got in Orleans. I guess the next closest one would be the one on St. Laurent. If you're selecting between this location and St. Laurent, I recommend picking this one.

I've had to make returns here a few times (sue me - I don't always like trying on clothes in the fluorescent change rooms) and the cashiers don't even blink they're so well trained and helpful. I love their home section here - they have a great baking and cooking selection and lovely pictures that don't fall on my head because they are smartly stacked at waist height (take note other locations!). I always, always find a ton of things I love here, but the prices can still be a little intense. They do sell higher end brands and you'll pay for them, but of course not as much as you'd pay at other stores (i.e. a pair of Coach sandals might run you $80). I love that they have brand here I usually order online, even their hair products like Cake. Winners - I love you. Sometimes, you stress me out, but this location really is the best fo the best.

Was stopped just before I was turning into the self check out to purchase my groceries that I had…read moreput into my cart ( side note: When I entered the store, I asked the sourly ignorant employee if it would be ok to shop with my own cart, and she nodded, probably not even realizing or remotely caring what I was even doing standing there talking to her) when her and two other frumpy grumpy women all vultured around me and accusing me of stealing. So I took my car keys out of the side of the cart and told the 3 Stooges to please hold my cart while I went to get my husband. When I went back my cart, along with a 92.35$ Walmart gift card and debit card had all vanished. They promised to look into it, but never received a response so I started calling customer service many times a day but now they tell me that they have no record of the complaint!!

They know very little about our life styles, our furniture indoor and outdoor, our sports needs etc etc. It is not fare to the staff. We get upset when they don't have a clue what we are talking about. And we get upset trying to explain to them what we want. Please be fare to them and extend their training period.
