I went to this Walmart Saturday morning hours to get some breakfast items and eggs. The store was massive just like any other ones. It was mostly clean and organized. All aisles had clear marking. I found the eggs aisle easily. The price was excellent, pretty much the same as what I get from wholesale store like BJs. The breakfast section also had lots of variety of products. The self checkout lane had multiple registers. I was disappointed to see few of them were out of order which caused people to wait in line. The Boothywn Walmart is without a doubt the best Walmart. The store is always clean and the customer service & store associates are second to none. They are pleasant and most helpful especially customer services. Mother passed away prior to that her memory was failing, I found items and receipts and one item no receipt. The young man looked up information, he was informative about the return policy and kind. Thank You Carlton for making a dark rainy day when I visited your store lighter and brighter. The only way to improve it is to open a gas valve and strike a match. The store is disgustingly filthy. The most ignorant and nasty beings work here. I saw a being seemingly opening a register. I began to approach to ask if this is what it was doing. After barely looking up, it yelled "I ain't open." I hope that one develops festering insects in the mouth rendering it unable to speak with that oh so professional demeanor. Bring your own bags because your options are to carry your purchases in your arms or buy their bags. They no longer have bags to give. This is one example of how the rich stay rich. If you have an issue that you'd like to address with the store manager, prepare to do battle. The answer given to me for REFUSING my request to speak to that being was "we ain't tryina get him involved". Was repeatedly told this. Still have no resolution to that issue. I reached out to corporate. Cannot get a person on the phone and they clearly only respond to positive emails. The store is in a complete shambles while they undergo a remodel. Good luck finding anything. There are no temporary signs guiding you to where you might find what you're looking for. There is, I'm guessing, roughly 50 or so employees working at any given time, perhaps more. I'm basing this on the fact that I was there several weeks ago when the store had to be evacuated due to a fire inside. There was a sea of blue vests in the parking lot. Once allowed back inside, you were hard pressed to find a dozen of them. I laughingly called it "The Scattering". I've trespassed myself for any wal-fart. I, at my own doing, am no longer allowed inside any wal-fart. Do yourself a favor. Spend the extra money and shop at target. Your emotions will thank you. read more

I went to this Walmart specifically because their online milk prices were the lowest compared to ALDIs, Wegmans and Trader Joe's. Of course when I get to the "Superstore", it was not Super and barely a store. No produce. Just some frozen, refrigerated and shelf stable foods. Not even eggs. The milk prices online were advertised at $3.36 and the shelf price tag was $4.69. It rang at that price too. This was my first and last time ever at this store. I had a cartful of stuff and as I tried to enter the self checkouts was instructed that it was 15 items or less. Well, since the milk was falsely advertised, I went back and put a bunch of things back. I should've put more back because I had to go to ALDIs anyways. I was still over the 15 limit at 18 so the self checkout gal entered her code and ALLOWED me to purchase my 3 remaining items. I tried to get cash back but apparently they don't have the machines filled because the purchase was first declined. Without the cash back, the transaction went through. During the entire time at self checkout, the woman at the front, checking receipts, referred to everyone as "Honey" or "Baby" or "Honey Baby". Ugh. I get the text receipt always. One less piece of paper to worry about. She stopped me and wanted to see the receipt. I tried to show her and wasn't clicking the right link for it to show up. It seems she would know this as she worked there. Finally I got it pulled up and she closely inspected it. Then admonished me again for having more than 15 items. Wow. It's almost like they don't trust anyone, can't stand customers, don't want to sell things, and want to pick a fight. Unless you need less than 15 items and no produce selection, I guess this is the place to shop. I guess I could've waited in the long line with the one cashier they had open. I would highly recommend a wonderful store called Produce Junction just up the road for produce and eggs. Fresh Flowers too. read more

Well finally found my size pants at a Walmart plus the fitting rooms are finally open so I don't have to go through buying them and then returning non fitting ones. The only constant though is that whenever I'm looking for something and I happen to find an employee, it's like a game show... it took 3 employees to finally locate what I was looking for. read more

BOYCOTT WALMART!! I just went to the Walmart in Boothwyn for my parents because I don't want them contracting this disease. The Walmart had 4 registers open and all were right next to each other. I saw the same thing a few days ago at a Walmart near my work. About 40 customers got bottlenecked within feet of each other. I asked for the manager and explained that they need to spread the open registers so they don't force most of their customers in a close proximity that is not safe with the coronavirus taking a foothold in our country. Her response was I just do what I'm told and the store manager doesn't care if he's putting their customers in danger. Ive already called the news and I'll be emailing the CEO but you need to be safe. If I could give this store a negative point I would. This was the WORST Wal-Mart I have ever been to. First of all there was no shopping carts inside. Although it was raining customers still need carts to shop. We took a cart in then a guy said he's going to bring in carts now. Ok, upon leaving still no carts inside and the ones outside was almost blocking the driving lanes. On to the store...DIRTY throughout. Half eaten donuts on the floor, trash strewn throughout all over the floor. The store was just in disarray. NOT ONE EMPLOYEE APPEARED TO CARE ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE STORE. This is a small Walmart. Not much selection. Lazy people behind the jewelry counter - when you can get somebody behind there. They wont even change the batteries in my watch. Extremely small book selection. They did increase theyre cd selection. Which is good. Id skip this place and go to Target. At least they have a Pizza Hut and Starbucks. I used to like this Walmart a lot more than I do now. They reorganized years ago but it was NOT an improvement in my opinion. Just seems like everything is scattered all over the place and not organized very well. Anyway, I do still stop in from time to time because sometimes only Walmart will do for certain things. Recently picked up some nice, but cheap, covered skillets and cookie sheets. Also like to go there for plants/outside stuff in the spring/summer. Biggest pet peeve is that there are literally never more than 3-4 lines open, while they have like 18 registers. It just doesn't make sense with as many customers as they get. read more

This store is ghetto! Waited in line for the self-check. Went to the station that opened up and the last person never paid for his entire transaction. Just went through the motions and then left with his goods... All stolen. The guy standing security didn't say anything. The girl at the counter was helping two other employees.... One of which had his pants down and his entire butt and boxers were showing. When I tried to get her attention she just kept shooing me off. Finally got her to clear my station from the previous transaction and told her they were ripped off. A shrug and goes back to talking to co-workers. Then the ignorance of customers. The worst store I have ever been to. The associates are very rude and not helpful at all. The store manager "Mary" was very unhelpful on everything she did. I went to customer service to get the price checked/adjusted for the item, associate at the store processed return instead of checking the price and then they asked to check for the same item in floor, which I could not find. When I came back that it was not there in he section they asked me to look at, they said they cannot void or give back the item I picked up. Wasted my 45 minutes because of the associates inability to help and end of the story they wouldn't allow me to take the pick up item or sell it. read more

I had bad service the very first time and tried giving them the benefit of the doubt and went again yesterday. I go to the Walmart store in Boothwyn, PA. The store is poorly managed. Shelve spaces can remain empty for days, weeks, or even months. Its customers service employees showed absolutely no concern and offered no help when I complained to them 3 times last year. As Walmart is trying hard to find ways to compete with Amazon and Costco, it should improve its management and services. Lower prices do not have to mean poor services and an inadequate restocking of the shelves. Goods sold faster should be restocked sooner. It needs to hire responsible employees to check the shelves on a regular basis. Our Target store here in Concordville has a much better management. read more

This Walmart has the WORST selection of any Walmart I go to. If you can find certain items, there is very limited stock and on too many occasions there was one item of that kind left in a beat up box. The customer service is TERRIBLE. Last week, I was there in the morning, I asked an employee for assistance and she actually loudly sighed and shook her head because she had to get her big self off a stool to come help me. I ended up leaving my item there at checkout and walking out. No one should hate their job so bad that they do not want to help a customer when the store has only been open for an hour. Contrary to other reviews, this store isn't that old (@ 15 yrs.). I really like the value, selection store hours & self-checkout lines!! On the downside: *Not enough help (ex. Customer Service only generally has one associate @ the counter). You get what you pay for (in other words, pay your associates better, you can afford to)!!! I agree (with Valerie S.'s review) that they have more registers than cashiers. However, that's true of most retailers these days (dept., grocery stores, etc.) * The layout is confusing as they've moved a lot of their merchandise around & things aren't clearly marked * I recently tried to return a computer monitor (unopened), as my entire computer needed to be replaced. They wouldn't return the item, due to a time constraint (the return wasn't within 15 days, which is their policy for electronics). While that is posted on their sign (at Customer Service), it's in fine print and not in one's direct line of vision, but about 5 ft. above). I'm now trying to deal with the manufacturer (AOC), who hasn't returned my call yet (3 days). I don't go to other Walmarts (as this is most convenient for me), so I can't compare it to other locations. I'm reading all these negative posts on the Walmart in boothwyn, pa. Yes, this particular store needs a face-lift but I have never seen "half eaten donuts" or other trash on the floor. Walmart is like any other retail store, only as good or bad as its employees and customers. Seems to me that the people writing these posts are the same ones that make Christmas shopping unbearable. Some customers, as well as some employees act as though they are the only people worth anything. They are the "entitled". I'm 64 yrs. old and worked in retail most of my life. I've seen how ugly people can be. I've also seen how considerate they can be when they put themselves in another person's place. Stop thinking you're entitled and just be human! Maybe the employee isn't feeling well or is worried about someone at home. Maybe that employee has already worked 10 hrs. and is just plain worn out. Maybe a customer is trying to pick up a few things after a very long day at their own job! As a retail worker, I also get frustrated with rude people. Everything that is wrong w/ retail is this Walmart store. I placed an online order (anything to avoid spending time IN the store). I went to pick up the order. Of course, the pick up counter is not staffed. I pushed the call button for assistance and waited . . . and waited . . . and waited. Several comatose employees asked whether anyone was helping me but, not one of the did anything to help. Finally, a clueless employee showed up and attempted to find the orders I placed. She could not. She called for assistance and someone finally showed up and was able to track down the orders. I returned most of the orders on the spot. Watching the 2 clowns trying to enter the returns into the (supposedly) computerized system was amusing. Finally, they claimed the items were marked as returned, handed me what was supposed to be a receipt, and I escaped from the store. The next day I checked online to see whether the items were properly returned and noooooooooooooooo . . . half were returned and half were marked as waiting to be picked up. I sent 2 emails to customer service, which responded that it takes a few days before the returns are cleared into the system. I waited a couple of days and entered into a CHAT online. 20 minutes later I was informed that a Supervisor properly returned the items. I asked whether Walmart compensates customers for time spent on lousy Walmart operations. They told me I would received a HUGE (now pronouned YUGE) $5 emailed gift card. I received nothing. Because I was po'd, I sent another email about the gift card and was told another $5 gift card would be sent. NOTHING! Walmart smacks of Sears and Kmart just before they started shutting down stores. Walmart has computer problems, employee training problems, employee morale problems, and has lost me (and others with whom I have spoken) as a customer. Dump the stock and avoid this store (unless, of course, they make you an offer you can't refuse). YUCK read more

I absolutely cannot stand going to this Walmart. I used to love shopping at Walmart until after my husband worked at this particular location. They are terrible to their employees. My husband quit because they purposely scheduled him on our wedding day after he asked in advance to have that day off. Since my husband quit I feel like the employees have gotten worse. There's two guys that watch me every single time I'm in the store. I have never nor will I ever steal yet I get followed . It makes me uncomfortable especially having my daughter with me. The lady in the baby aisle is racist as hell. She hates to answer my questions. She yelled at my son for tripping over items on the floor. They are a bunch of lazy people. It's like it was built 30 years ago as a regular walmart, without food, then they tried to "modernize" it by stuffing in a few aisles of food right in the center of the store: only 2 short freezer sections, no meat, no produce. I wish management would pay more attention to the needs of customers. I would like to be able to buy milk any time I am in this Walmart, but no matter what time of the day I am shopping at this Boothwyn location, the half gallons of white milk or chocolate milk are not to be seen. Only 3 gallons of white milk were sitting on a shelf two days ago. They just don't check inventory often. It would be nice for customers to check prices on scanners while they are in certain departments so they could return an item to its proper space if the price is not right for them. There is only 1 price scanner in this store that is working, and I find myself needing to return to that location several times. Items are left near this scanner, making employees spend more time in returning them to the proper location. Please work on the so-called "clearance" aisle and don't keep it as a joke aisle. Clearance means clearance--not 25 cents off!!! Some items supposedly marked down are the same price as what is on the regular inventory aisle. Many items are not even marked to show a ??clearance?? price. Get with it, please. Kennett Square is a much better Walmart all around. They always have milk on the shelves.
