Please stop in and visit, because on your first trip you will get 4 crab cakes for free! How awesome is that! Everything looked amazing. They have big bags of 2lb shrimp for sale and Wicks homemade chicken tenders. You can buy them already fried or do it yourself. Along side the shrimp and tenders they also have A large selection of fish and wings. They sell manicotti, raviolis, frozen corn on the cob and broccoli. We saw homemade buffalo dip or crab drip that looked awesome and we will try one of them next time! We could have spent a lot of money but the prices were pretty decent so we didn't need too We can't wait to eat our dinner together tonight and then make another trip next week! We haven't had a bad experience there yet. Acme is not my usual choice for grocery shopping but once in a while, depending on what we need that week, we switch things up a bit and hit the Walmart in the same shopping center. Since we can't get fresh meats and veggies there, we also stop into this Acme. Unlike Katelyn M., we haven't had any problems with rude employees. I mean, if the cashier was busy cleaning her conveyor belt off, I wouldn't start loading my stuff onto it. Who knows what she was cleaning off of it - some kind of nasty meat juices or spilled juice, perhaps? Hey, I wasn't there, but try a little patience once in a while. Sheesh. Also, the produce that we have picked up on several occasions has been very fresh - we picked up a bunch of stuff the other night - they were having a buck a bag sale on the produce and we got some great deals. Katelyn M. is right about one thing though - if they don't get some more business, they won't be open for much longer. The Shop Rite (or whatever was in that space before the Acme) was never busy either. Makes me wonder where all the people in Boothwyn/Chi do their food shopping.

My first two were excellent, the third not so much. I've had an old world Italian hoagie and a roast beef hoagie, had the mini size and both were jam packed with delicious ingredients. There was a time I could have eaten the largest size, which is 3 times the size of the mini, but as an old man the mini was perfect. My most recent visit I ordered a regular size kielbasa with sauerkraut, which for most of the sandwiches would be like the medium size, for the kielbasa is was the smallest they offered. Well, I should have asked for the kraut on the side because when I got home the nice Aversa's roll was soggy, my fault there. On the other hand the kielbasa tased like Hillshire Farm mass produced crap. When the guy got it from the refrigerated cooler where they keep the deli meats he carried it with both hands in a manner as to hide the package it was in, I thought it was odd at the time but didn't think any more about it, until I got home and realized why. While waiting for my sandwich, I saw what looked like 'real' kielbasa in with the deli meats so I was very disappointed when I went to enjoy the sandwich only to have the taste and texture to like be a glorified hot dog. Overall I like the place, the prices and hoagies are great. But, I now know not to order anything but the hoagies here.
