The first time, I was on the phone in tears because I had to get to class and go to work. Keith patiently explained why the tire isn't a quick fix and assured me that everything was going to be okay. Lo and behold, the tire was fixed about 4 hours later and I went on my merry way without pain, anxiety, or hefty bill. It was an amazing experience. Yesterday, the same thing happened and in a panic, I called again at around 4:30 knowing that they were going to close at 5. I talked to Keith again (my hero) and he calmed me down and explained that he didn't have my tire in stock and it might take until Friday (note: the other places I called didn't even share the time it would take to ship from a warehouse). I wanted to drive home to Cleveland on Thursday, but I trusted them and said that it was okay. I towed my car there and couldn't find the key drop slot. Even though they were closed for an hour or so by that time, Keith (again, my hero) came out to get the key. I went to work Thursday morning annoyed with my $10 morning uber ride and my delayed-to-Friday departure home. However, Tuffy called around 3pm and said they had my car done. I'm excited to say that I will be driving home after class tonight and will be reunited with my family at my originally planned time! I'm so thankful to Keith and his team for really prioritizing the customer experience and getting me back on the road ahead of schedule! TL;DR: Tuffy is a wonderful auto center that really cares about their customers. Keith is a superhero. If you want quick, quality work, I recommend this place over every other!

If I could put 0 stars I would…read more My experience with Tuffy has been absolutely unacceptable, and I am honestly disgusted with the way my vehicle and this entire situation were handled. The biggest issue throughout this entire process was the complete lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism. My 2019 Kia Forte needed an engine replacement. My warranty company approved the claim, the replacement engine was sent to Tuffy, and I waited while they completed the repair. After everything I had already gone through with my car being down, I was finally told my vehicle was ready and picked it up believing the problem had been properly repaired and that my vehicle was safe and ready to drive. Less than 24 hours later, my car was having problems AGAIN. It was making a clanking noise, and I ended up having to get the vehicle TOWED right back to Tuffy. Considering they had just replaced my engine, of course I was concerned that something was wrong with the engine or the work that had just been completed. Having to tow a vehicle back to a repair shop less than 24 hours after getting it back from an ENGINE REPLACEMENT is ridiculous in itself. Then came the battery situation, which made this experience even worse. Tuffy put a new battery in my vehicle without properly communicating with me beforehand about the price or making sure I understood and agreed to that additional expense. I should not be finding out AFTER work is done what something is going to cost me. Customers deserve the opportunity to know the price and make a decision before additional parts are installed in their vehicle. When I made it clear that I did not want to pay for a battery that I was not properly informed about beforehand, I was told they could simply remove their new battery, put MY original battery back in my car, and I would not have to pay for theirs. Okay, fine. Except when I came back, I was then told that MY ORIGINAL BATTERY WAS GONE. The employee explained that my old battery had already been given away/returned, meaning they could no longer put MY battery back in my vehicle like they originally told me they would. How do you tell a customer that you can put their original property back into their vehicle and then get rid of that property before the situation is even resolved? Then, to make the situation even more frustrating, the lady with the piercings was struggling to remove Tuffy's battery from my vehicle and acting as though she did not know how to take it out. At that point, I was beyond irritated. This is an AUTO REPAIR SHOP. After everything I had already dealt with, watching an employee struggle with removing a battery from my vehicle while acting like she did not know how to do it was the final straw for me. There was already poor communication surrounding a MAJOR engine replacement. I received my car back only to have to get it towed back less than 24 hours later. Then a battery was installed without the cost being properly communicated to me beforehand. I was told my old battery could be put back in, only to arrive and find out they had already gotten rid of it. Then I had to stand there while an employee struggled to remove the battery they installed. That is not how you handle someone's vehicle, especially after they have trusted your business with something as major as an engine replacement. What bothered me the most was the lack of communication throughout this entire experience. When someone leaves their vehicle with a repair shop, especially for a major repair, they should not have to constantly wonder what is going on with their car, what is being done to it, or what they are going to be charged for. Communication should be BASIC customer service. I gave Tuffy multiple opportunities throughout this process to simply communicate with me and handle things professionally. Instead, one issue seemed to turn into another. I would NOT recommend this location based on my experience. I expected professionalism, transparency, proper communication, and care for my vehicle. Instead, this entire situation left me frustrated, inconvenienced, and completely disappointed with how this business operates. If you decide to bring your vehicle here, I strongly recommend getting EVERYTHING explained to you beforehand, including every repair, every additional part, and every charge, and making sure you know exactly what is happening with any parts being removed from your vehicle.

My car would not start on a Saturday evening and the AAA Emergency Service came out and got it…read morerestarted. It was diagnosed as needing a new starter (original starter and car has over 150K miles) and I was given the warning that it may or may not start the next time I tried. The battery was still good (I was 2 months away from the 5-year warranty being void) but should be replaced before the winter. So I drove it over to this location and left the key in their box and hoped they'd be able to get it fixed on Monday. On Monday morning I spoke to one of the service managers and he had a technician take a look. It would need a new starter and the battery terminals could use a cleaning. It wouldn't be ready until the next day. Another phone call later, and I was told the technician forgot to check the battery and it was at 50% life and recommended being replaced - it was missed during the initial check so I would be given a discount. I was quoted a price which I found acceptable and I asked if I could pay now over the phone but was advised to wait in case the price was off. Monday afternoon I took a plane out of state and had a 5-hour time zone change so my noon was their 5pm. The family member staying at my house didn't mention any phone calls from AAA so I called them on Wednesday just before they closed. They'd called the home phone and left a message the car was ready (but my family member didn't know how to check the messages). I was able to pay over the phone (it was about $30 less than the quote) and my family member was able to pick up the car the next day during their business hours. It may have been odd circumstances but they were able to go with the flow which I appreciate.

I was given the option to either wait for the tow company or I could leave my keys and they'd pick up my car. I chose the latter but I was of the thought that I would be given an address to where my car would be going. I was not, I was told it would be an 8 mile radius of my work place and that was it. Once I did get the call from the repair shop my car was taken too i gave them all the necessary information and the man on the other end told me I would be given a call with an estimate. Next thing I know 3 hours later I get a call saying my car is ready. Which felt weird but I as I have a high stress job I went along with it. I told them I would be there around 6pm and was told that would be fine. I called them back around 6pm and not only did they not have any memory of our previous conversations and hand no knowledge of what was wrong with my car. They had in fact misplaced my car for a couple of minutes and the tire was not even replaced when they eventually found it!!! So now my car wouldn't be ready until today and I was given an estimate of around $250-350. Which was bad but I thought it would be a lot worse...... I ended up paying over $760. I still have yet to pick up my car and I'm so worried that my car will have something wrong with it which is never something anyone should have when they are getting their car back!! If I could give zero stars I absolutely would and it was just a nightmare of an experience and it's honestly making me question AAA as a company.

I've had my car worked on at ER off and on since I bought the thing. They have a super cute lobby at their Plain City location and they always have chilled drinks, coffee, and fresh baked goods. They offer loaner cars for certain services and I've never used that amenity personally, but the loaner vehicles in their lot look very nice and clean every time I see them! Even though I've moved throughout the years I still come back to ER because they're not judgy of my old decaying SUV, and they do their best to help. I can't speak to their pricing just because I honestly haven't had my car worked on anywhere else for big things. But they have coupons and I've always been able to afford their work!

An independent shop charging more than the Tesla dealership is absolutely ridiculous. To make matters worse, the tire they installed started leaking air shortly after the installation. I brought it back, and they eventually found the leak at the bead. Instead of taking responsibility for a problem with the installation, they claimed my rim was cracked and tried to sell me a new rim, pointing to existing curb rash as the cause. I took it to Costco for a second opinion. They cleaned and resealed the bead, checked for leaks, and fixed the problem. No new rim was needed. On top of that, communication and turnaround time were extremely poor throughout the entire process. Paid more than Tesla, had a leak after their installation, and was then told I needed an expensive new rim when a simple bead reseal fixed the problem. Get a second opinion before authorizing additional work here.

The assistant manager Hunter then told me at 1:15 (they only started working in my vehicle at 1:00) that they could not repair my tire as "someone has already repaired it," (which is untrue as I've only had the tire less than a year and have never had it repaired) and that I needed to buy another new tire. So now I've had to pay 450 dollars. I had to wait another hour for my vehicle to be completed. Once I got back in the vehicle, my tire pressure light was on, and my dash said "tire pressure monitor system maintenance required." When I came this morning, I had no lights or warnings on my dash. The service tech (I believe his name was Titus) then lied to me, saying that he had to "re-learn" the tire pressure sensors to the car, and that the passenger side rear tire pressure sensor was dead. I told him this was impossible, as I had them replaced in January of this year at the dealership. The assistant manager Hunter then checked my vehicle, and told me that the service tech (Titus?) never "re-learned" the sensors to the vehicle, and that he had to do it himself! TLDR: This Discount Tire will overcharge you, lie to you, avoid any accountability, and disrespect your time. Go anywhere but here.
