Summerville, SC as a place to experience the worst customer service in the low country. My wife's Subaru had a headlight out. I made the mistake of thinking AutoZone could tell me which replacement bulb to buy. Even drove the car up there so they could run the VIN or whatever. I have been going to that AutoZone since they opened. Their store manager checked the computer and came up with a part number. Sylvania 9007. It was wrong, but I didn't know that yet. And it's understandable. Sometimes a database has bad information. Before I figured out I had the wrong bulb, I took the car to a garage, because the Subaru bulb replacement is through the fender well and too involved for a home repair. The mechanic called and informed me that the replacement bulb from AutoZone was incorrect. Ok, not a problem, it happens. The garage gave me a different part number. Sylvania 9005. I quickly returned to AutoZone and bought that bulb and took it back to the garage. Turns out that was also incorrect. But that wasn't AutoZone's fault either. That was the garage database. A guy at the garage finally got the right bulb and installed it. Yay! Two good headlights now shining from my wife's Subaru. The problem occurred when I went to return the incorrect bulbs. AutoZone let me return the second one I bought, the 9005. But not the first! I did not have the receipt! I showed the store manager my bank statement from my bank app evidencing the purchase from that Autozone 01009 for the exact price of the bulb, $55.63. Didn't matter. Had to have the receipt. So I went home and dug up the receipt and went back. Nope. Now they say the part number on the receipt does not match the part number on the bulb. Keep in mind, this was the part number they provided me and the receipt that they produced when they rang it up, all of which match my bank statement. The brand is the same brand as the bulbs on display. Sylvania Same brand as the one I returned. But nooooo... even with the receipt, they can't refund the $53.63 insane price for a light bulb. The store manager and assistant manager would not budge. They recommended I call the District Manager. His number was on a plaque by the door. I called the District Manager. Left a message. Politely explained everything. Left my number. Respectfully requested a call back. Over a week now and crickets. I have not heard back from the District Manager. I even called the Regional Manager, who's name and number are also on the plaque by the door. That number is disconnected. So... hate it, but AutoZone is going the way of Sears and KMart, coasting on their prior rep and forgetting the basics of customer service. I'll use Parks from now on, or O'Reilly's If you know anyone who needs a pair of Sylvania 9007s, let me know. If you buy anything from AutoZone that you might need to return, I would suggested you video the transaction.

Upon arriving, he was also there to check me in. Very friendly and helpful guy. When we spoke days before, I was told that the specific tire I needed would arrive by today but came to find out that it wasn't. However after inspecting my tire, they were able to repair it with a plug since it was just a nail that was causing the slow leak so it did end up working out. But in the future I do hope that it's communicated to me if my tire doesn't show up on time so that any time wasted is avoided. Overall the appointment only took about 45 minutes and I received a text to notify when my car was ready. It didn't cost me anything because I had put warranty on the tire which was also a nice feature they offered. I still plan on coming back to this location next time.

I spoke with the most relieving,calm,kind,selfless women(The Store manager) (unfortunately I can not place her name at the moment) She got everything to a T done for me...Tire ordered Transferred me to the tow service Service appointment scheduled to coordinate with tow service Felt like all we had to do was wait until today(July 6 2026) to make the 4hr drive back down to retrieve our car...Which we did... To then get faced with Jeff(assistant manager) First,he lied to my face that my tire had not been delivered(which I had called at 10am to confirm) As well as he had spoke with my husband 30min prior to our arrival,to say he had the car,tire was ready to be placed on,and our price was what had been discussed on Sunday(with the store manager)...Great! Nope! About a month ago, I went there to get a oil change for my BMW and I learned Rory transferred to the Goose Creek location. I tried to call Precision Tune in Goose Creek but I got voice mail. So, I decided, on last time, to let the Summerville location do an oil change. The new manager isn't a friendly guy. When I got my BMW back, I noticed, when I was cleaning out my trunk a few days later, that both gallons of Motul were completely full and the oil filter I asked them to use were not used: still in trunk. I called and asked what happened and I didn't want their standard oil in my car. So, the manager arranged to get the oil changed again. And that went horribly wrong as well. They changed my oil, but only used one gallon, of the two, of the Motul engine oil: 5w-40. The other 1.9 quarts they used their standard synthetic oil. NOTE: You are not supposed to mix specialized oil with other oil as it cancels out the chemistry etc. I called and the manager said the tech was doing me a favor! It is not what I asked. I called Rory, at the Goose Creek location and arranged a time to get my BMW oil changed - again - 3rd time in less than 100 miles. Everything went well except... Mike, the mechanic, told me that there was no gasket on my oil plug, and the oil was slowly leaking. Summerville Precision Tune struck again. All-all, Precision Tune of Summerville cost me, out of my own pocket, in just engine oil, +$200, and another $30 in oil filters. Needless to say, I will never go back to Precision Tune in Summerville.
