When they got it torn down they said the damage was worse than expected and suggested a rebuilt unit. I ok'd that and was told it would take about a week and a half to get it. I kept calling to check on it and was finally told on the morning 8/30 that it was in town but not at their shop yet. I called on the afternoon of 8/31 and they said they are working on it. I called again on the afternoon of 9/1 and it was still not ready. They called me on the afternoon of 9/2 and said it was ready so i went and picked it up. When I got home it would not shift into park. since it was after 5pm I called the next morning and they wanted me to drop it off which I did not want to do so they told me bring it in on 9/7 which I did and they corrected the problem with the shifter. It took over a month to get this resolved which is way longer than I think it should have taken. Tom H.

My family and I were headed home to Cincinnati (from Hodgenville) on Sunday when the low pressure…read morelight came on. Upon inspection, it was clear our right back tire was going flat. I tried adding air and fix-a-flat without success. I stopped by a couple of name-brand tire places but neither could or would help me. One said it'd be later that evening; the other said he was booked solid until the 26th (several days later). We decided to head back to Hodgenville and happened to pass by Kartar Service Shop. I turned around and stopped back by and asked them if they could fix a flat. They immediately checked the problem and quickly determined the damage to the tire was in the sidewall of the tire which meant it couldn't be fixed. They checked their pile of old tired and found the size I needed and for $40 bucks, switched it out and got us back on the road. That was all I needed to get us back to Cincinnati. I had the tire replaced with a new on on Monday but Kartar got us home on Sunday! If you need any type of automotive help, check with Kartar before you go anywhere else. They'll take good care of you!

I immediately went back in and told them. The first thing he said was "tow truck driver did it". He didn't even go out to look, he already knew. He told me he had to force it out of park to get it into the bay. I left the car there and found a new steering column for just under $200 that I paid for. They charged me over $200 for labor to install it. To be fair, so far the original electric problem seems fixed, but I just picked it up this morning, but I am out just under $500 because they negligently broke the transmission shifter. Maybe if they had admitted it and ate the labor I would be satisfied, after all, s&#@ happens, but they didn't. We all make mistakes, but it seems few own up to them these days.
