Review: Absolutely Unprofessional, Dishonest, and Rude. Avoid at All Costs…read more I had to bring my vehicle to this shop because my warranty required me to leave my preferred, trustworthy mechanic. From the start, the experience here was frustrating and unprofessional. After diagnosing the issue, they called to tell me what was and wasn't covered by my warranty. I chose to fix only what would be covered. But without calling me back for approval, they went ahead and performed a repair they later claimed was only partially covered, forcing me to pay the difference out of pocket. That alone is shady and unacceptable. I also paid for a diagnostic, yet the exact same dashboard warning lights I came in with were still there when I picked up the car. Their explanation? That both my main and auxiliary batteries were dead and it would cost nearly $1,000 to fix. Interesting, considering my previous mechanic had just tested them and found them to be completely fine. When I came to pick up my car, it wouldn't start, which I assumed validated their battery claim. I was wrong. Instead of helping me or offering a timely solution, they had me sitting there like an afterthought, clearly uninterested in helping since I'd declined their overpriced battery replacement. I finally got a jump and took it home, only to have AAA test both batteries and confirm they were perfectly fine. Then I noticed a part missing, the air intake for the A/C that sits over the battery compartment. I called to speak with the manager, Cody, who acted completely clueless. Then, after giving a vague suggestion to bring it back in, he hung up on me. Completely rude and uncalled for. Still trying to get my car functioning, I brought it to O'Reilly. They again confirmed both batteries were good. I mentioned a "low key fob battery" warning I had noticed, and the associate suggested that might be the issue. I replaced it for $12.99 and guess what? Problem solved. My car starts just fine. Let me be very clear. The warning lights I originally brought the car in for are still on, and I now have to take it somewhere else to get them properly diagnosed and repaired. I spent nearly $500 here for a "fix" that didn't fix anything, a misdiagnosis, and to top it off, an arrogant manager and careless technicians. I have no mechanical background, yet I figured out more about my car's issue than this so-called professional shop. It's either incompetence or a blatant attempt to take advantage of me, or both. I will never return here, and I strongly recommend others stay far away. This business lacks professionalism, integrity, and basic customer service. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Last week I blew a tire and realized afterward that I had no spare. I was convinced Discount Tire…read morehad forgotten to put it back in my trunk after the last time I was in. That meant I had to Uber myself (and my tire) to Firestone, where I got charged $350 for the "cheapest tire in my size" they had. Fast forward to today--I pulled up to Discount Tire looking like a total disheveled mess, with my car just as much of a mess as I was, and my two toddlers in the backseat. I was only planning on a quick air check. I casually mentioned what had happened, and Martin immediately jumped in to help. He brought out Chase, his senior manager, who agreed we needed to get me a proper spare right away. While looking over my car, Martin also spotted a screw in my back tire and got me into a bay on the spot. He even offered me an amazing deal to help offset the frustration I'd had with the missing spare. Here's the kicker: halfway through the process, Martin double-checked my trunk and found out that my car actually has two floorboards. My spare had been hiding under the second one the whole time! He never made me feel dumb about the mix-up, still honored the deal, and was patient even though I also lost the wheel-lock key. When Martin had to step away and Chase was tied up inside, another gentleman helped finish the process with the exact same kindness and respect. As a woman, I'm often treated like I don't know what I'm doing at car places. In this case, I really didn't know what I was doing, but these three men treated me with nothing but respect, generosity, and professionalism. If you're a single woman or mom who has to handle these things on your own--especially if you've got little ones in tow--this is the place to go. You'll get the best service and the best eye candy all in one stop. Thank you to the entire team at Discount Tire, especially Martin, Chase, and the third gentleman who helped me out. You've earned a lifelong customer!
