The best prices I've found on oil changes and tires. Service is friendly and timely.

Take 5 Oil Change

(15 reviews)

I've gotten my car serviced at quite a few different shops and this by FAR was the best experience…read more I used to go to another chain for convenience but had multiple issues with careless techs. This was my first time at Take 5 and they were professional, knowledgeable, fast, and friendly. TJ explained each step and did not try to upsell me on anything. Ashden even took the time out (while replacing my cabin filter) to fix my glovebox that had been incorrectly placed by the other shop. They were fantastic and I'll definitely be back.

Extremely Disappointed With Take 5 Oil Change - Harrisonburg, VA…read more I've always liked coming to this Take 5 location for my oil changes, which makes this experience even more disappointing. My son took my truck to this facility before we began a road trip to Kansas to return my granddaughter home. While traveling through Mount Sterling, Illinois, my truck began experiencing serious problems, including engine misfires and a check engine light. An AutoZone code scan showed an ambient air temperature sensor code and multiple misfire codes. I had to visit two different dealerships during the trip to have the truck evaluated. They performed software updates and believed it was safe to continue. Unfortunately, the problems returned on our drive home near Louisville, Kentucky. After another dealership visit and another update, the check engine light came back on just three days later. When I returned to my dealership, they discovered that the air box had not been installed correctly. They corrected the problem at a cost of approximately $140. The dealership provided documentation and a video showing the issue and explained that the improperly installed air box contributed to the codes and symptoms I experienced. I immediately returned to the Harrisonburg Take 5 location, met with the manager, and provided the documentation and video. I was told that because I had taken my truck somewhere else, the warranty was automatically voided. Seriously? I was traveling across the country with a truck experiencing serious problems. Of course I was going to take it to a dealership! I had no reason to suspect that a routine oil change could have resulted in an improperly installed air box. The manager said he would submit the information for review and that I should hear back within a couple of hours or by Monday at the latest. It has now been nearly two weeks, and I have received absolutely no response. I attempted to call twice today, but the phone system disconnected my calls when I selected the option to speak with someone. I am not asking for anything unreasonable. I want Take 5 to reimburse me for the approximately $140 I paid to have the issue corrected and to take this opportunity to review its quality-control procedures and employee training. Mistakes happen, but when a mistake potentially affects a customer's vehicle and creates problems during a cross-country trip, the company should take responsibility and communicate with the customer. A proper quality-control check before returning a vehicle to its owner is essential. Employees need the training and supervision necessary to ensure work is completed correctly. I genuinely liked using this location, but this experience has seriously damaged my confidence in its service. I expect a phone call, a resolution, and accountability. If this matter cannot be resolved appropriately, I will consider pursuing other options to recover my expenses. Take 5, please do better. Your customers and their vehicles deserve it.

I sat in the lobby / waiting room and at 1105am I was still in the lobby with my car still sitting out front with no service started. I approached the counter and spoke with a young man and informed him that I had been sitting for over an hour with an appointment and yet my car was still sitting out front with no service and no communication that they were running behind or there was any issue. I asked for my keys back and stated that my time is very important to me and that the lack of communication was unacceptable. As the young man went to the bay to retrieve my keys the manager entered the front door with his lunch that he had ordered and made contact with the young man in the bay area. They spoke briefly at which time the young man approached me and handed me my keys and walked away. No apology or any type of concern from the young man working the counter or the manager. While Iam a fan of the firestone product this type of business operation is not acceptable. I totally understand that things happen and often the customer is inconvenienced by unforeseen circumstances. However this lack of communication, customer service and general business ethics is not acceptable. Iam sure I can find another Tire Vendor (Goodyear. Mr. Tire or Costco) that will gladly treat me better and appreciate my $1400.00. If Firestone is concerned about the overall business operation at the Harrisonburg, Virginia Facility I would certainly retain new management and a refresh of Customer Service Training for the staff you have working up front. Unfortunately I did not get the names of the staff I encountered but based on there ages mid to late 20's its obvious we have not empowered our younger folks or given them the proper tools to succeed in customer service and general business codes of conduct. What is the point of having an appointment if your not going to honor the time or your care for your customer. Utterly Ridiculous firemarshallgrace@yahoo.com
