I drove an extra 10 minutes to my real mechanic, CAR Guys in Merriam Woods, and guess what? They told me all of these repairs were unnecessary and certainly not required to pass inspection. $12 at CAR Guys and I was out the door with my inspection passed vehicle. Avoid Big O at all costs. There's a special place in hell for these people.

Bought new tires with them and they supposedly do computer alignment. I had to bring the car back…read morein since the dealership checked the alignment soon after the new tires were installed. The dealer's computer alignment showed the car was misaligned and the tires were wearing unevenly and very worn. In the past, this Big O had honored their tire warranty. This time, they said I only needed to replace two tires and pay for the alignment . We questioned them repeatedly about them saying we only needed two tires replaced- since it's an AWD car. Common sense says all 4 tires needed replacing. We let them replace the two tires and they made us pay for the alignment. A short time later, the dealership checked out the vehicle and said the misalignment was dangerous and would cause serious damage to the car. When we returned the car to Big O they asked us to email them the photos and the report from the dealership. They didn't follow up on our email as they had promised. When we reached out again about a week later, they said to bring the car in. When we brought it in, they said that the tires were just out of warranty - by about a week. They knew that the tires were still under warranty when we first brought it back in. But, they didn't call to get us back in. They waited just long enough that the tires would be out of warranty so they didn't have to replace the other two tires that they should have replaced in the first place! This place also constantly overinflated the tires when we would get the oil change with tire rotation. That's dangerous and probably contributed to the extreme wear on the tires and the tires being unbalanced. They have lost our business. Strongly recommend against using this place.

This included a/c compressor and other work they said need to be done . We decided to pull from savings and a friend helped us with some and we had all repairs fixed. (My husband is disabled and I need a working car.) After a few days of getting the car back, it started making noise. I checked fluids and there was 0 transmission fluid. I went to the store and purchased transmission fluid and filled her up. A few days later my power steering started whining. I brought it by and they said my pump was probably going out and I'd have to make an appointment and drop it off to them for checking and repair. When I got home I checked fluid and that, too, was empty. I filled it up and thought all was good. When weather got warmer I needed my a/c for the first time since the "repairs/replacement" of my compressor and hoses that they said were bad. (It worked perfectly and blew cold when I brought it in.) My ac didn't work when the car was moving, only when sitting still. I brought it to them and they said I'd have to make an appointment (a week later) to have them look at it. I did and they "fixed" it and I went and picked it up after hours when I got off work. It still wasn't fixed so the next morning we called and again they say I need an appointment a week later. They said it may need an OEM compressor and that would cost an additional $100. We brought it back to them and they called us the next day and said the was nothing they could do and that we needed to bring it to the Cadi dealership in Springfield. We did and their mechanic showed us that the plug was never put back on the compressor and that it would be $2500 to replace the compressor that was improperly done by Art's. We will never take another vehicle to them or recommend them to anyone!

We drove 1800 miles from Reno, NV into Branson, MO for a summer vacation. Somewhere along the way we picked up a nail in the sidewall so there is no patching- No reputable tire shop should recommend that a patch be installed on a sidewall puncture. And this shop appropriately and politely informed me that no repair was possible. My vehicle is an all wheel drive SUV. Tire shops should always recommend replacing all 4 tires because mismatched tire brand, tread design, tread depth, have the potential to damage your all wheel drive system. Their first suggestion was the proper one, to change all 4 tires. Being on vacation we didn't want to spend that much on the only set of tires that they had available. I guess they first perceived that we maybe were unable to pay for an entire set and offered to order the same brand to replace the one tire and advised me to replace the other 3 when we got back to Reno. I still didn't want to run the 1800+ miles with unmatched tire tread depths. I convinced the manager that I was ok with an inexpensive tire set that I could just use to make it back to Reno. His only hesitance was because he was genuinely concerned about quality work and the reputation of his shop. He ordered the agreed upon tire set, and had it expedited to the shop so that we could get them installed the next day. They didn't even require that we prepay for the special order. I not only recommend this shop, but I commend them on their dedication to quality and the needs of the customer and just good old pride and doing what they feel is right for the customer. Thank you Mitchem Tire of Branson, MO
