First time here at this Walmart in Apple Valley. I find it is a bit smaller than most Walmarts that I have visited. Anyway, I came to return some items I purchased online. I had already started my returns via online so it was easy once I got here. There was a line of 6 people ahead of me. The wait was a tad long unfortunately. Luckily, once it got to me, it was fairly swift. There were two items that I returned, but Walmart said I may keep them for use, donation, or whatever I want and I would still get a refund for them. This was a first for me. Thank you Walmart, but the corsets are too small for me (LOL) so I'll be donating them. Customer service staff was pleasant. The customer service area setup was kind of odd. It's located right at the entrance. Usually, I would walk into an area or room of some sort for customer service, but I guess there's just no extra space for the luxury of a room. No big deal. I did stroll around the store to check out some things, but I ended up not getting anything after all. I have to say, the store was very clean and organized. Inventory appears to be well stocked. It was a pleasant visit actually. Thank you Walmart Apple Valley! Keep up the great work.

Worst employee in Walmart.. they are so rude I asked for help but they both laughed in my face and then when I confronted them about it they said they were helping me.. no they weren't.. and then continued to laugh

Receipt good for nothing, because they don't honor their sales.

Let me start out by saying I seldom ever shop Walmart and this is a good reminder why. I would give them zero stars if the app allowed it. Their customer service and return policy sucks! Did I say it sucks! It sucks! This store sold me a transfer shower chair in a jacked up box and then refused to take it back when I tried to return it because the seals on the box was broken (that's how it was sold to me) but all the clear tape on the box was still in tact and I had the receipt in hand. In my opinion they let someone else return it, taped it up knowingly the next person who purchased it couldn't return it. Unfortunately for me it was the only one in the store at the time, so I thought the need for one at the time over rode the jacked up box it was in because my husband just had VP Shunt brain surgery. I don't get it they say the seals are for health reasons and that's why you can't return them, but they sure didn't have a problem selling it to me with the seals broken that way. This item literally never left my car from time of purchase. I told them to pull their f..... video cameras and they would see it was sold to me like that. I have no reason to lie. The managers reply "Our cameras aren't that good we wouldn't be able to tell. Really, I call bulls....t! You know what also really burns me is while we're standing there in line to return the item people were able to exchange items with no receipts at all. Or how about the fact that you can steal up to $5,000 worth of stuff and they will just let you walk out of the store, but they won't honor the items they sell with a receipt. No wonder union people call it rat mart. By all means customers don't be honest paying tax citizens, because you'll get stuck holding the box literally.

Electric carts are back and the people are super friendly. What a difference a cart makes.

The car seat is tied down so you cant say it's displayed incorrectly with the price tag.

False advertisement!!! I chose a carseat that was prices at $99.98 only to be rang up at the cashier for $214.00. When I told them it was displayed at $99 they "go and check" and suddenly price changes to $199.00. I said it was clearly labeled at $99 on the shelf and they ask me to "prove it" so i go and show them and then they give me a crap story about that seat being placed in the wrong place and that the area is tagged for "remodel" and i tell them that they should at least change the tags or remove them instead of having us go through this whole situation of being charged incorrectly and they instead said unfortunately we cannot give you the price displayed unless more than 4 of the same item is on display. Makes no sense they should be held more accountable for their errors. Needless to say i did not buy a car seat because non of the seats displayed "showed the correct price for said item" where it was placed. They need to get it together. Im going with amazon for now on.

They actually have a wide assortment of pinball and arcade games, and it's only $10/hr to play all of them as much as you'd like, which I feel like we definitely got our $10 worth. The arcade and pinball area is its own thing, it's impressive imo and a lot of fun for $10. The store area is also really impressive, there's a lot to look at. I found cute clothes and prices were reasonable. I'm excited about my things. My brother got the Bleached merch and he's excited to wear it. We're looking forward to coming back. Also I loved the 80s music to go with the 80s games. 10/10 love

Please note, the area is very rough, downtown victorville where the majority of the shops are closed, filled with homeless and vacant buildings. When I first arrived there is no parking structure, it's all street parking and there is a lot of room, just be careful as homeless fill the street. I went right when they opened on a Thursday and I noticed a few homeless across the street in front of the building, drinking, cursing, and living in tents, so if you're bringing little ones, just giving y'all a heads up. When I walked into the building, I was greeted by someone at the front but that was the majority of the convo, I've never been here before and the individual just mention browse around and didn't even mention the arcade. They have a great vinyl selection, both new and old - I bought 2 new vinyls at 25 a piece and ended up getting 7-8 used vinyls - costs were good, ranged between 7-17 dollars. Once I finished my shopping I asked about the arcade and they explained either by the hour at $10 or all day for $20. Tbh they don't have enough games for all day $20 so I played 1hr for 10$ I was disappointed as most of their machines didn't work. And it pains me to write this because I also support business, y'all know especially if you follow my reviews. In the pinball room they had 23-25 pinball machines and when I went (1 month ago) only 12 worked, I counted - the machines were on but the flippers didn't work on most and on some the ball wouldn't shoot. I ended up just playing 4 machines that were really fun! I do have to note they had amazing music! Such a great vibe!! I went into the next room retro arcades - roughly 22-24 machines and again 5 didn't work, 3 weren't on and 5 had sticky buttons so the game play wasn't the best. They had a few good games that kept me entertained for a bit. One thing to mention, in the retro room the buttons were kinda oily and some of the buttons were stuck so I think if they cleaned every hour or so and did maintenance on the games the experience would be better! Overall it was a good time I have to give it 3 stars as most of the games weren't working, the area it's in, I wouldn't feel comfortable having my kids go and this isn't an all day type thing, mostly an hour tops. Definitely cool to check out tho If you go, let me know how your experience was! Enjoy fellow yelpers

They've altered two long-sleeve barongs into short sleeves (one of which I purchased from their shop). I've also had shorts hemmed and a zipper replaced. Overall, I'm very happy with their work.

This business is great for standard tailoring, hemming. However, if you're looking for creativity,…read moreskill, and time management do NOT come here. If you're looking for typical and traditional barongs and boleros they're also great, however if I had known what I knew before coming here i would have been better off ordering from barong world and barong warehouse, etc, and yes I am pinay. My reason for a low rating is I researched Filipino dressmakers and signs pointed to this business. I brought my request and vision to FDM in March 2023, my wedding was December 2023. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and we drafted a plan. First red flag was she suggested satin for my top, to which I was thinking it would just be used for the filipiniana sleeves. My inspo pic that I wanted did nit have satin. Anyway Before i left my initial appointment she said it would be "ready" around June. I text her in July and she said theyre not going to start on my clothes (and my moms) until August. 2nd red flag. Come October she texts me my top is ready and i'm excited because FINALLY. I went to try the top and its all satin. Definitely not my vision; the top is thick and i cannot move in it because satin is unforgiving and non breathable. And i told her from the beginning this will be the outfit i will be changing and dancing into after my wedding gown. By the way the pants are not ready yet. Also I need to buy more liner for them. So i return weeks later (as im driving back and forth norwalk to hollywood) to drop off the material. At this point this is now a mercy project because even though I came 7 months earlier they did NOT start on my wedding clothes until now. Im hoping for the best for my pants. 2nd week of December my pants are ready. My wedding is also 22 days away at this point. It's a nightmare. The crotch was too high and the waist was tight. I also lost about 20 pounds from my initial measurements so that was confusing. I also asked her to put an elastic waistband as the design is for a palazzo wide leg with pleats look. There wasn't any of that. I tried to make suggestions to see if we can add/ change the pants but of course "theres not enough time." I return 15 days before my wedding and they make some changes but it's still terrible. No matter how many times i put it on, trying it with leggings and shapewear the quality is just poor with bad stitching and i'm scrambling in my head how to rescue my vision. Because I was already worried about the result of my outfit I ordered white pants online from various retailers as a substitute, and thank GOD I did. They came in on time, but remember the stiff satin blouse? That also became a nightmare to work with. Here is why I was furious: 1. I trusted a professional, yes she's a boomer but I still put faith in her experience but I should have been more specific and made detailed suggestions and maybe even show MORE photos. Or maybe even took more direction, but I'm also not the professional dress maker here. ALSO, in my experience constructing a tailored dress from scratch takes time! This is why I came to her in March/April. If something didn't work out, we could make changes to the material or design. The fact that my items were NOT fitted 1-2 months before my wedding is not excusable. Her excuse was that they had other orders that needed to be finished before mine and my moms. (fortunately i was able to suggest another added piece to my moms fit that made it look better than the original.) 2. My money, time, and gas were wasted. For my pieces alone with the fabric I spent around $700. Also driving from Norwalk to Hollywood each time to be disappointed was not fun. Thank God I was able to find another seamstress in orange county who could fix my satin filipiniana 6 days before the wedding. I'm ready to close this review and not look back. I will add that my husband's custom barong ($300) mom's clothes (all satin ensemble costing $500) ended up fine, and nice, but my mom is older and forgiving. I hyped her up a lot lol. As for my vision and those who want something modern, be warned and very careful coming here. All I will say is this, thank the Lord for Shein. Still give this business a try. However this was my honest experience for the services I was seeking and I will not be returning.

However, it got a bit better later, mainly because the manager was really great with the way she handled matters. I would give the place a 2 starts and her attitude and work ethic a solid 4.5 starts. Overall this averages out to 3.5 stars. First the disappointment part: In my opinion this is not worth the price it definitely left a lot to be desired in terms of quality of rooms. Our 2 room suite had broken furniture in the living room, bathroom and the sliding door between the room was broken. The bathroom window curtain rod was broken and actually came apart and fell down while I was showering with rusty nails falling in tub. There was no walk-in shower which might be okay but the tub was also not cleaned well and a bit rundown. For people traveling with kids or lot of luggage, please be aware there is no concierge service/bell boy or carts, there is also no way to disembark from the car with luggage before parking. Parking is a walk away, so be prepared to walk with luggage. There is a valet service which will help out at extra cost. The room service ends at 9pm. On the first day, the customer service was not good. We got more "No" than "Yes" from the front desk but the customer service improved next day and the hotel manager was really great (Henrietta) which made up for the first day and drove me to give it a 3 star review). We requested a roll over extra bed/mattress. I don't have a comparison of the quality of this in other hotels but the bed we received was like a hospital bed and very uncomfortable to sleep in. The suite faced the front road so lots of traffic sounds and road sounds through the night. The redeeming part: The hotel manager was super helpful and understanding when we expressed our concerns. She saved the day for us, upgrading us to a bigger suite for the next night. While we ended up having some issues there as well, she was sincere enough to remit us one night's stay due to all the issues. Note that the suite we were upgraded to was historic and beautiful. If you like the haunted history associated with this hotel, this would be the suite to book. We did not experience any spooky stuff but the charm and age of the walls and the medieval castle feel was enchanting enough. The suite was surrounded by beautiful gardens and fountains. It was lovely. Overall, beautiful, historic place with charm and a bit of intrigue but I don't think the pricing per night is a reasonable fit for the quality of the rooms and services offered. The rooms could use renovation and modernization without impacting the historic quality and architectural elements. Better staff training to ensure all staff are courteous and passionate about customer service, better upkeep/maintenance, pest and insect control and longer hours of room service /dining would be great. Great manager, thank you Henrietta for your professionalism and service, your attitude and saved the trip for us.
