I had purchased a large townhouse that needed significant work before it could be rented. After gathering multiple quotes and meeting Nelson on-site, his detailed explanations and thorough approach made him the clear choice. He consistently arrived on time each morning and exceeded expectations. Nelson quickly turned around a poorly done paint job and delivered meticulous flooring work. He even met me at the flooring wood depot to pick out the best wood for the price. Even when I was out of town, he went above and beyond by tidying up the space and installing new smoke detectors. I've already recommended him to other investors and am currently working with him again on replacing doors in another unit. Nelson embodies timeliness, trustworthiness, and fair pricing--qualities that make him a go-to professional.

After receiving estimates from three companies to remove my above-ground pool and completely…read moreremodel my backyard, I ultimately chose Lazo Outdoors--and it was one of the best decisions I could have made. The project included removing the above-ground pool along with all of the dirt, sand, and gravel that supported it. I also wanted the area leveled and restored with fresh topsoil and sod. In addition, I wanted my attached deck, screened-in porch, and railings completely replaced. One important request was enclosing the underside of the deck to prevent animals from making it their home or shelter. I also wanted the screened porch upgraded with a ceiling fan and interior lighting, while the exterior would have three floodlights and illuminated railings. Lazo Outdoors wasn't the lowest-priced or the highest-priced company--they were right in the middle. One of the biggest reasons I chose them was their excellent reputation and the warranty they stand behind. The lowest bid came from an LLC that left me concerned about the quality of workmanship and whether they would still be around if I ever needed warranty service. Choosing Lazo Outdoors gave me confidence that I was making a long-term investment rather than simply selecting the lowest price. Carlos Fuentes was the lead contractor on my demolition and remodeling project. If I could give him more than five stars, I absolutely would. His craftsmanship, work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in his work are truly exceptional. Just as impressive was his communication throughout the entire project. He constantly made sure I was satisfied with every aspect of the work and was always willing to answer questions or make adjustments to ensure everything met my expectations. The finished project exceeded everything I had envisioned. In fact, several of my neighbors were so impressed with the transformation that they contacted Lazo Outdoors for estimates on projects of their own. The attention to detail was incredible. Carlos and his crew installed a new three-switch panel inside my home, allowing separate control of the exterior lights, interior porch lights, and the Ring camera motion sensor they also installed. The ceiling fan remote was professionally mounted on the wall in the location we chose, and they even asked us what height we preferred for the fan before installation. They added three new electrical outlets--two inside the porch and one outside. The railing lights were installed with programmable timers that allow me to set them for day/night operation or specific on/off schedules. They also installed a new locking porch door, allowing us to customize the hardware to our preference. Throughout the entire project, Carlos made us feel like valued customers instead of just another job on the schedule. That level of professionalism is becoming harder and harder to find. People are often quick to write reviews when they have a bad experience. I wanted to take the time to recognize someone who delivered outstanding service. Carlos Fuentes is an incredible asset to Lazo Outdoors, and I will never forget the quality of work he performed or the way he treated us throughout the entire project. If you're looking for a company that stands behind its work and delivers exceptional craftsmanship, professionalism, and customer service, I highly recommend Lazo Outdoors. They exceeded my expectations in every way.

The salesman came out the very next Monday to take measurements and provide me with several options. The install was started on a Friday. Once the install was started I was very impressed that even though it took several days, they never missed a workday. This was our 2nd time using Creative Deck. This review is for customer awareness. We contacted the…read morecompany and discussed these matters with them before posting this. #1 - Although we are the property/homeowner, you do not have to be home during install. We are nervous homeowners. We took off work to be there. Unlike other construction we have used, Creative has only ONE crew that installs. That weight is on the ONE foreman who will have to take off work unexpectedly. No one showed. #2 - Calls the day of. We were called the morning of and asked "Can they come today?" We felt this "same day" scheduling was very erratic, compared to what we experienced with this company before. #3 - Customers - mark your wires and inform your adjuster. Your buried internet and automower wires are not marked by the Utility company. Inform your adjuster so he/she can help you get these marked. The 3-star rating was a 1-star. The company took time to speak with us about the issues, so we are showing some teamwork. Gary has been there for decades and knows his stuff. The management here - doesn't have time for conversation or empathy. They will throw the paper work back in at you, and you can see that response in their comments to reviews here. Sometime everything legal isn't moral/correct. We aren't sure we will use them again. It just seems sloppy and unorganized for our type of property ownership. I'm sure it would work great for other types of homeowners.
