I'm really disappointed in my experience here. We wanted to slowly integrate our 2 year old into a new daycare center (she was previously in a home daycare) and thought that this place seemed good from our initial visit. I paid for 2 days a week (about $50/day) and a application fee. After going here two days, we decided it wasn't the right fit for our daughter. The caretakers are nice people, however, depending on the number of toddlers/infants these two groups get combined throughout the day and by the end of the day our toddler was in the infant room playing with infant toys rather than getting exposure to toys that seemed more appropriate with her learning level and age. The room where they are all hanging out is fairly small, and my daughter seemed really out of sorts when we picked her up for the last time even though the care provider assured us she had only been crying for the past 10 minutes (that's a long time in my book). My complaint isn't because the large center style wasn't a good fit for us,that's fine, it happens and when it comes to your kid you want to make sure you FEEL GOOD about the place they spend their day in, my complaint is that when I asked if there could be any sort of refund of the $400 I paid, the center director stated that they don't do refunds. Ok, I understand a non refundable application fee, and I get that you require a 2 week notice. So if I gave my 2 week notice today, it would be good business practice to refund me for the last two days of May (about $100). If this place truly cared about kids, they would understand that some kids aren't going to do well in their environment and it may not work out, and if that happens, they should have the decency to refund an amount that is fair and makes sense. So instead, I just paid $200/day for my kid to attend this center. So, I would not recommend coming here unless you knew your kid was going to stay, no matter how they responded to the environment. I know it takes time for kids to adjust, but as a mother when it doesn't feel right, it doesn't feel right and I would have expected a childcare place to understand and respect that. Try them at your own risk...so glad we only paid for 2 days a week, swallowing $750 for full time would have been brutal. read more
