I have a cat and tend to travel often these days, and both Dan and Ann Marie are excellent about checking up on Xena the warrior princess they provide comprehensive updates during their visit with Xena, are very responsive and communicative about my questions and concerns, and all very knowledgable about pets which brings me peace of mind because I know I can trust them. Walkies is seriously the best of the best!! We have used them in the past when our dog was a puppy and I knew they were great, but this most recent experience really took the cake! My husband and I just came back from a 5 day vacation, during which we used Walkies' services to stay overnight with our dog and cat. Our sitter was Jenna, who went above and beyond to make sure that everything at home was taken care of in our absence. It's always really hard to leave your pets at home when traveling. Our dog, Cash, is used to having someone with him almost all day every day, so I felt terrible leaving him behind while we left to have fun. I told Jenna about my apprehensions and in return she updated me several times every day to ensure I had peace of mind while away. She sent us pictures, texted daily updates including potty breaks and long walks. She even stayed at our house on the last day to have dinner with Cashy when we told her our flight got in super late. She told us that she "didn't want him to have to be alone too long". This is music to a pet owners ears! Finally, someone who loves my furry babies as much as I do! In addition to being a wonderful sitter she also kept our house super tidy. All the mail was perfectly in a pile when we got home, floors were cleaned and the guest room looked like no one had even been there. Jenna and Walkies truly made our vacation SO much better by making it possible to relax because we knew someone was always there for Cash and Thaddeus. We had a great experience with the Walkies team this past week when we needed someone to walk our dog mid-day. Sarah Blake, the operations manager, responded to my email within an hour and just as quickly got me set up with an account and dog walker. The setup process was seamless and our meet and greet was quick yet thorough enough to ensure peace of mind that there wouldn't be any issues. Emily Kimble, our dog walker, was so great with our pup! Our lab can be hard to please, slow to warm up to strangers and sometimes just a handful, but he and Emily got along very well. We received an update from Emily as soon as they were done walking and she even brought some packages in for us that had been delivered. Even though walks are scheduled in a time window (only for non-monthly clients), Emily was able to provide a more precise time for the visit which made it easier to plan when to be back home in the evening. I've been using her services for just about a year, and even with short notice I'm always able to get a sitter. Sara and Chris have taken care of our beloved cats and have been wonderful! Walkies is worth every penny! When my husband and I adopted our retired racing greyhound, Pepper, we knew she would be left alone for longer than we wanted while we were both at work. I met Andrea (the owner) previously and began using Walkies in December of 2013. We started out using the service sporadically when I was working from home. We would eventually use Walkies full time when my work hours changed. We had several walkers throughout our time with Walkies, though the same person usually walked Pepper each day. Whenever a new walker was introduced into the mix, he or she came to the house to meet us and Pepper first. I cannot say enough good things about Walkies and their walkers. All of their employees are competent, trustworthy, caring, and truly love animals. Each walker always gave me a daily update after the walk was complete, sometimes with pictures! Andrea is so flexible and an excellent communicator. I never hesitated to ask questions or adjust our service as our situation changed. When Pepper broke her foot a few weeks ago, Andrea even offered to switch our walker to someone with veterinary tech experience while Pep was in a cast. Walkies is the BEST, BEST, BEST! We contacted walkies when we adopted a 2 month old westie puppy and quickly realized we would need an extra set of hands to help us out during the day! Val came to our house for a meet and greet. Walkies are a life saver! I've been using them for about 4 months now for walks during the day for my puppy. They are so accommodating to my schedule and any requests I have. First they do a meet and great with your dog before they start performing the routine walks. They went out of their way on a Sunday so they could ensure I would be able to start scheduling my walks the very next day on Monday. They also just walk your dog by itself instead of grouping it together with other dogs' walks, so I know that my dog is getting great individualized attention. Walkies is fantastic. I've been meaning to write a positive review for them for a while, so I am finally doing it. I first found Walkies about a year ago after adopting two cats. I was stressed out about what to do with my cats while I was on vacation, and since my family is very allergic to cats, the options were either housing them at the vet or finding a cat sitter. After some google research, I found Walkies, and SO happy I did! Not only is my sitter from Walkies the nicest, but they are very accommodating, even on short notice before holiday weekends. Before for your first sitting, they have the sitter come to your apartment to meet you, your pet, and get the lay of the land as well as any special instructions they need to know about taking care of your pet. Not only will they change the litter and feed the cats, but they also will take out your trash, pick up your mail, turn lights on/off etc. if you need them to, for no extra charge. My sitter is also so sweet and will clean up the litter that always manages to scatter all over my floor. And they also play with the cats. They also leave nice/cute notes for you about the cats so when you get back you have a nice summary of how they did. Overall, I can't say enough positive things about Walkies. They have made my life a lot easier. If you are looking for someone to watch your pet while you're away, I would definitely recommend Walkies! read more
