If I could give Melissa 10 stars, I would. I first met her about a year ago when she was desperately trying to find the owners of an Akita Inu puppy who had gotten out and was running around the neighborhood. Melissa took the puppy into her own home while she scoured the area for the owners. I was impressed from the start. That was before I had a dog of my own. A few months later, I bought a 12 week old Shar Pei puppy, Lola. She was scared to death of the city noises at first. Although she loved dogs, she was (and still is) somewhat shy around people. She never likes to be left alone, despises crates and she simply goes into a panic attack whenever I leave. I have gone through a series of conditioning exercises to calm her nerves. I reached out to Melissa to see if she would help me with the separation anxiety by coming to get her once every week or so to go for a walk with someone other than me. She not only took Lola for walks over the next few months, but she would come by the patio to say hi to her when she'd pass by on her other dog walks. Lola loves dogs, and she started to become very excited whenever Melissa would come around. In fact, she could sense when Melissa was in the area before I'd even see her. I'd know when I'd see her standing up on the fence with her tail wagging and Melissa would show up about 30 seconds later. Fast forward to today. Lola just turned a year old. Melissa is highly dependable and goes the extra mile to ensure a positive experience. She watched Lola on many occasions in our home including a week when we were out of town for a family wedding. Lola absolutely loves Melissa, and I couldn't feel more comfortable with anyone else taking care of her, especially with the sensitive anxiety issues. Highly recommended!! I have also met some of the other walkers in the Posse. Everyone has been friendly, professional and they put the needs of our furry ones first. read more

Melissa stayed with our two German Shepherds and Siamese cat over the holidays and even though it was their first time together everything went splendidly. One of our shepherds has health issues and Melissa was attentive and thorough in giving him his medication and providing me with updates. I know it had be frustrating for her at times, as he often needs out in the middle of the night to go potty but she never complained. Our other shepherd can be a bit aloof but they took to each other and snuggled at night. She went above and beyond on numerous fronts keeping the house tidy, brushing the dogs, going to the store, etc. I know Melissa is building her business so anyone looking for a responsible pet sitter who will love your "kids" as much as you do, I couldn't recommend her highly enough. read more

I will start off by saying that I am the owner of Castellucci Pet Care, so I obviously have high standards for my own cat's care when we are away. Melissa lived up to that standard. Every day around the same time, she texted me an update on how Coco Chanel was doing, and even sent me photos and videos of Coco. One video was super cute with her playing with the laser pointer I left Melissa to use. When we got back, Coco was very happy to see us of course, but wasn't so sad and desperate as other times when we had left her. She used to do laps in our row home when we got back for days to "get our attention." Not this time; she was calm and relaxed! That means Melissa must have given her the attention she deserves. I know she was here for over 30 minutes each visit because I have cameras with time stamps. I will definitely be using Melissa again for upcoming trips. She also might walk my clients' dogs while I'm gone too. We have a great professional relationship, and I am happy to say that she is a friend, too! read more

Melissa is fabulous from start to finish. I was in a bit of a panic as I was struggling to find a cat sitter before my weekend away from my fur baby. Melissa answered my email almost immediately and I could feel her love for animals through her words and specific questions. Although my cat, Celine, was a bit shy at her meet and greet, she quickly warmed up to Melissa after a few treats, and they are now fast friends! Melissa sent me multiple videos of Celine while I was away and Celine was purring up a storm. She truly cares for her clients and their pets, and makes sure that you know they're loved while you're away! Although our schedules did not match-up for returning keys, Melissa made a quick stop by my apartment, refilled Celine's water, gave her a few treats, and even sent me another video while I was at work before her departure. We hired Melissa to watch our two cats last weekend and had a bad experience. We needed her to come 2x per day to feed them wet food because our one cat is sick. During the meet and greet with my husband she agreed to come in the morning around 8/9am and in the evening around 5/6pm. We paid for the 5 visits and to ensure quality service even paid her $45 tip. She said she would send us a text after each visit to let us know how they were doing. After not receiving any text on Sunday as she promised, we contacted her to see if everything was ok. She promptly texted that the cats were doing great and getting "lots of loving." What Melissa didn't know was that our front door code alerts us when she enters our apartment. Instead of coming at 9am and 5pm like she was paid and tipped for, she came only once at noon. If an emergency happened we would have understood, but the fact that she lied and texted that the cats were great and never mentioned only showing up once was so dishonest. We called her to confront her and she didn't answer. At this point we were so upset that we put our trust in this person, who also is the owner of this business. We then texted her that she was caught lying and she no longer was allowed to enter our apartment. We frantically called our neighbor and luckily he was able to check on our cats. They weren't fed the wet food and their litter boxes were not cleaned. Only after she received the message and knew she was caught did she call us back crying. The craziest part was that the only excuse she could come up with was she was busy doing errands. I'm so upset that the OWNER of a dog walking and cat sitting business cares this little about the well being of animals. I would not recommend or trust her to anyone. read more

We've been using Pet Posse services for almost 8 months now. Our friend suggested we try their services when our walker moved to Florida. So we have Melissa a try and we couldn't be happier with the service we get. We use Melissa for overnights as well as random daily walks. We've left our dogs for a full week on 2 separate occasions. Both times the dogs were very well taken care of and loved while we've been away. One of our dogs need special medicine and Melissa has been more than accommodating to ensure she gets her medicine as needed. Not only are the dogs very well taken care of..... but our condo is in better condition when we return than how we left it. Which is above and beyond the services we are paying for. Melissa will also sometimes stop over to visit the dogs and they are always so excited and happy to see her.... which any dog owner would admit that is one of the most comforting things to have.... a dog walker/sitter that is truly loved by your fur babies! If you're looking for a responsible, reliable dog walker/sitter.... look no further! read more
