I would like to apologize for taking this long to send this letter. We have had a few deaths in our family to deal with and I am just now able to get my thoughts together. I would like to begin with thanking Ms. Kitty who I dealt with regarding the payments. This event was put on by 7 siblings, and 19 grandchildren, each paying a portion and living all over the United States. So the headache of that situation was handled with sincere grace and professionalism by Ms. Kitty. She never showed any frustration, even though I was ready to strangle my family. Secondly, and not in order of appreciation, we would like to thank Mr. Richard who was the EVERYTHING to the event. He was so accommodating to my craziness. I am a very very particular person whose OCD really gets out of control sometimes, and he never wavered in his professionalism. I kept changing things, and adding things, and requesting things, and needing things and on and on....and he always said, yes we can do that. Even up to the day of the event...he made so many accommodations for me and my family. He has the best temperament for a person in his position, because you never know when he is fed up with your request and changes. And now to the event!! When I chose the Westminster location it was because of the price, so I did not think we would get the same service that I was used to getting at the Security location which I have been in attendance dozens of times. WRONG!! I can't put into words how we were treated at this event by the staff of Martins Westminster. Every request, change and extras were done to perfection; and it was so beautifully decorated. The food was delicious and well-seasoned (which was one of my many requests). The interactions that my guest had with the staff were pleasant and professional. The event was a memorable one for my Mother (Ms Ella Byrd), that she calls me every day to reminisce about it. I will choose this location over All the Martin's locations. I have absolutely NO complaints (and that's big for me) with regards to my dealings with Martin's Westminster and would recommend it over and over. Bob was awesome, along with everyone helping this past Sunday night! Totally seamless, took care of us, high attention to detail and making us know we were in good hands! Let's also mention the AMAZINGly delicious food that we got many compliments on. I was hesitant about doing a buffet, but SO glad we did! And always get the crab cakes! We had a tuxedo cake with a caramel flavored filling and got many compliments. The DJ (DJDELIGHTS) was also awesome! They played all the songs we wanted and kept the dance floor busy! First of all, Stacey, the owner, is extremely competent and communicative and overall awesome at what she does! Even though she's always busy working events and in the kitchen, she still is quick to respond to any questions/emails/texts. Her response time was actually faster than any other vendor involved in my wedding, which I really appreciated. When my dad had a lot of dish-specific questions regarding preparation and details before our tasting, she was willing to have a long phone call with him answering all of our concerns. She made us a custom menu/package when we wanted to tweak and add on to their typical wedding packages, and the pricing was very reasonable as well! Stacey also let us have a 2nd tasting when we were still undecided on a chicken dish after our first tasting. This company wants to make sure you are satisfied, and can pretty much make any dish you might be interested in. Our red-meat option for my wedding buffet was sliced NY strip steak, and we requested it cooked rare to medium-rare. The cook temp was very important to my dad, a steak aficionado, but I figured it would end up coming out closer to medium since it's nearly impossible to cook steak off-site and have it be that perfect pink temp still once it's brought on-site...especially since even steakhouses have had difficulty getting that perfect "rare to medium-rare" cook temp in my past experiences. Well, Biggerstaff's steak for my wedding was absolutely perfect! They were all cooked to the perfect temperature, a beautiful pink rare (but not under)--we were extremely happy! (The rest of the food turned out great too.) On the day of the wedding, Biggerstaff's employees operated so smoothly and were so nice to me, and set up the tables so beautifully. Everything went off without a hitch, and my guests were all very satisfied. I highly recommend this company, especially if you're having an event at Hauser Hill, since they're extremely familiar and know how to work seamlessly out of there. PS - try the cornbread casserole! We usually go to smaller B&Bs but Steve and Peggy are as friendly as smaller operators! It's very well cared for and looks very good for an actively used truly historical facility. Our room was perfect with a small deck. The bedroom area is perfectly separated from the bath, toilet and sink area by double doors. Breakfast was good and hearty with friendly service by Peggy, who like Steve is a long local. She willingly accommodated our special requests. Overall we couldn't have been happier!

We signed the contract, paid the deposit and thought we had everything lined up until a few months before the wedding when we received an email from him that read "Due to an unfortunate and unforeseeable event, it is with deep regret that I must inform you I will be unable to provide DJ services for your upcoming wedding. At this time I have not been able to find a suitable replacement and feel it best that you have ample time to secure a DJ on your own who will meet your specific needs." After asking the DJ what was the reason for the abrupt cancellation, he never provided a response and just returned our deposit. He continued to provide DJ services to others since so we never found out the reason for his cancellation. Thankfully, it was a blessing in disguise as we were able to land an awesome DJ instead who rocked our wedding. We are glad that we did not have to use Great Scott Productions and would advise others to think twice before using him!

My family and I attended a wedding on October 8, 2022 which was a cold fall night. The property was…read morevery nice and the barn/reception was beautifully decorated. As the night went on the barn was getting colder and colder inside which had no heat and no portable heating for the guest. The brides father plugged in several small box heaters to help make the guests more comfortable. At one point throughout the night the owner (older male with gray/white hair) entered the barn and started ripping the wires for the box heaters out of the outlets and yelling at the guests making quite the scene. The owner then yelled at several guests saying that we would burn down the barn for just simply trying to not freeze to death. I then politely attempted to talk to the owner about his actions. The owner got within an inch of my face and yelled that he had a "hot box" and it was our fault if the building burnt to the ground (referring to the electrical panel). Now I am no electrician or expert by any means but I would assume that the electrical panel was not to code and was probably a 100 amp breaker box when 200 amp was needed. I then told the owner that he needed to respect his guests and to respectfully go about unplugging the heaters instead of creating a scene during the first dance and father daughter dances. The owner was a complete a**hole and I would hope no one would ever give that man another dollar in his life. Overall the venue was nice but the ownership is terrible and would never recommend.

My mother had found Santana and noted how many accolades she had received from various organizations such as Wedding Wire (Bride's Choice for several years in a row). We chatted on the phone for about an hour prior to our face to face meeting and I felt at ease that she knew exactly what type of music I wanted as well as what would work for the guests. Santana is quick to tell you she doesn't do cookie cutter weddings, and that's exactly right. She listens to each client's needs, wants, visions of what their big day will be like and she compliments that with her skill, professionalism, and innate musical talent as a DJ. We discussed the break down of the guests, would it be mostly friends or family or a combination of both? She inquired what year I graduated college to know the popular music from that time, and also knew the age range of the adults in my family to know what music would get them moving on the dance floor too. Her website is user friendly and very helpful in the planning process. Clients are able to log in, create a play list of 'must play', 'play if possible', and 'do not play'. Santana made sure and discuss what was on my 'do not play' list which was rather vast and in the end I ended up compromising and trusting her on several songs because they are such crowd pleasers. She was right, and the crowd loved all of her choices on the set list. Santana is so prepared it makes even the most organized person do a double take. She thinks of everything, so that when she's working if there is a snafu, she's in control and the guests don't even know anything went wrong. I know the guests loved the music because pretty much all 200 of them spent the majority of the time dancing the whole night. A rowdy fireman friend of my husband's extended the party and Santana obliged, extending her contract by an extra two hours! I think they would have kept extending it all night if we'd let them. I can't recommend Santana enough. She's a world traveling, vibrant individual and our wedding was so fun that the guests didn't want to leave. While I'd like to claim credit for having the best friends and family, I also know that the music/entertainment portion at a wedding is truly key. Booze and music is what makes or breaks a wedding and I can safely say that Santana made ours memorable and a blast. If you want top notch service and to have your guests talking for years to come about what a fun wedding you had, Santana Entertainment is the company for you!
