The owner Lauren was incredibly helpful in getting us setup when we first started, and went out of her way to meet with us in person and answer all of our questions. We have found everyone to be incredibly friendly and accommodating, and have never had any issues. Our walker Alex takes great care of Teddy on his daily walks, and we always look forward to the entertaining notes and photos he sends each time. They use an online system called Time To Pet which makes scheduling and payment super easy. Overall, you won't find a better option for Dog Walking in the Jersey City area - highly recommend!

We setup an appointment after speaking with Cherish and she came home with Juan who would be our primary walker. The appointment went great and they were super excited to meet Riley and play with her. Cherish was great as she cleared all concerns that we had as new puppy parents and assured us that she will be in great hands. Juan (primary), Amanda and Devin are amazing walkers and have taken amazing care of Riley with playing with her inside the home till she got all her vaccinations and then taking her out for daily walks after she received her vaccinations. We have Nest camera setup in Riley's pen area and we see the excitement when they come in to take her for walks. Juan has been amazing with sending us at least 3 pictures on a daily basis during her walks. I have no idea how he does it but he has been able to take great pictures of Riley even when we struggle to get them. He must be a true dog whisperer. The service has been amazing and they are really helpful. We had to cancel the daily walks on couple of occasions when one of us is working from home and as long as you email cherish or her team by 7 P.M previous day they don't charge you for the cancelled service. Unfortunately we would be moving in a month's time to where Playful Paws is not servicing else we would have continued with them even though Riley can now able to go to day care service. P.S You not only get pictures of your pet during the service but you can also track where all they have been during the walks using their GPS tool available on their website. The website is simple and easy to use and provides all the information you would need on it. You also get emails when the service starts as well as when it ends with the walker's comments and pictures. Hoping for Playful Paws to continue their outstanding service and help many pet parents in the future.

Taking a minute to leave a yelp review as I noticed there are only very old posts here on yelp…read more I've been using OTBAD for about 7 months now and it's been such a good experience I want others to know so business stays afloat! This will be long- if you don't feel like reading take a look at my pics instead! If you have a dog- you know what it means when they look like they actually have a dog smile on!! My dog always has one when she's out with OTBAD! Now the review- For her first 5 years of life, our dog, Bernie, went to a doggie daycare M-F while we were at work. She loved it and was a much happier and better socialized doggie because of it! But then the pandemic came and working from home, for less income came! So spending money on pricey doggie daycare was out! After a couple years without it though, we noticed that she was declining in terms of social skills and quite frankly was under stimulated with only being at home with us and our usual walk breaks. So, I started trying out less expensive options than full on doggie daycare. I tried a couple other dog walking companies and was underwhelmed. Discovered OTBAD and decided to try one last company! SO VERY GLAD we did! It's simple, straightforward booking, and very reasonably priced. For her walks I chose the 1hr "social" walk option so that she is paired with one other dog. I had no idea how adorable this would be. It's better socializing than at a doggie daycare! Instead of a room filled with a sensory overload of loud barking dogs, it's one-on-one and outdoors. They took time to assess my dog's temperament and personality and paired her with complimentary dogs in the neighborhood. Over the past 7 months there has been about 4-5 different dogs she sees regularly. She gets so excited to stop at their nearby houses to pick them up it's honestly the sweetest thing. She has more friends in TriBeCa now than we do haha Bernie is the type of dog that LOVES people and mostly just tolerates dogs so this change in her has been great to see. She loves these dogs and now even has an interest in random dogs on the street when I'm walking her. But, most importantly- the walkers themselves have been amazing. Her most common walkers are Caspian, Nicole, and Nicholas and they are so good with her. Even her occasional "non-regulars" have been great. They switch it up to keep her stimulated and also get her energy out- sometimes her hour session includes walking, sometimes a park with tennis ball time etc. I really appreciate the little things they do like wiping her paws before coming back inside, taking off their own shoes, etc. It's the little things when you can trust the walkers both inside your home and outside with your dog! I never have any trust issues whatsoever. And, lastly as someone still working from home in a tiny apartment the walkers all "get it". They come in to get Bernie and are happy to talk for a brief min or quickly make themselves scarce and exit quietly if I'm on a call or even in the bathroom for instance. Same thing when they drop her back off- they adjust accordingly if I'm home or not! Overall, it's been such a great experience. I wish I had found them years ago as it's a much more affordable option than full-on doggie daycare and after 7 months of consistent use I'd argue it's actually better in terms of socializing and exercising your dog! The one hour sessions is more than enough to keep her stimulated and well-socialized as she ages! Thank you OTBAD for treating Bernie with such great care as if she was your own dog :)

Sake is 12 years old and we've had countless walkers over the years, but I'm taking the time to write this review (my first review ever) because Jesse went far above and beyond the call of duty in order to ensure that my dog was happy and healthy the entire week while the city was devastated by hurricane Sandy and I was stranded in Florida. Jesse and his staff were extremely reliable, trustworthy, kind, and genuinely loved my dog. I was given notice at 2am that I must be on a 6am flight to Florida...6am that morning. Departure date, October 28th. Return date, November 4th. I had four hours to mentally prepare, pack, and get myself to LGA. Added complication, I had literally just moved to Chelsea and didn't know anyone in the area that would be able to walk, feed, and possibly board Sake without knowing me or my dog and on such short notice. I sent six emails to different dog walkers in the Chelsea area at 3am on Sunday morning. By the time I landed in Palm Beach at 10:30am, Jesse, the owner of Union Square Dog Walker, was the first to respond at 7:30am. Jesse clearly understood the sense of urgency in my email and assured me that Sake would be well taken care of while I was away. What a relief!! (FYI, Chris, from D Pet Hotels in Chelsea, was the only other walker to respond to my extremely urgent email) Hurricane Sandy ended up making landfall in NYC while I was away and the city went into shutdown mode, leaving me stranded in Florida for seven days. Naturally, I was worried about how Jesse would be able to care for Sake (we live 21 floors above street level) with no power and elevator service, suspended means of transportation, and in the midst of an extremely dangerous hurricane. Fortunately, Jesse proved his commitment and reliability - he took Sake out of the city to a safe home in Brooklyn, where the power wasn't affected and the storm caused little damage. Throughout the traumatic storm and following chaotic days, it was virtually impossible to place or receive phone calls and send emails in Manhattan, but Jesse had the smarts to figure out how to contact me by cell, text, and email every single day to reassure me that Sake was doing great. They went to the dog park 3-4 times every day, he purchased Sake's favorite food and treats, and spent 24 hours a day with him, so he wouldn't be frightened by the noisy winds and rain. Jesse's constant updates were directly responsible for lowering my blood pressure and thwarting panic-induced heart failure...and I'm a healthy 34 yr old guy! I can't thank you enough, Jesse!! Sincerely, -Tristan

Our regular dog walker stopped doing overnight stays a few years ago, so my husband and I have had to coordinate trips carefully. A friend recommended Big City Woof, and after hearing such great things, I decided to give them a try even though i am extremely selective about who looks after Poe as he can be tricky. Poe is a fantastic dog but he's strong and can be reactive toward certain other dogs. He needs someone who understands dog behavior and can stay calm, confident, and in control. We also no longer take him to dog parks, so he requires a caregiver who can manage his energy through walks and play. From the moment I met Renee, she bonded with Poe instantly. It was clear she genuinely loves animals and knows how to read them. I had her visit a few times for walks before I traveled, and she was never deterred by what needed to be done for Poe. She is patient, positive, and professional. What meant the most to me was that Renee didn't just care for Poe but she cared about him. The photos and videos she sent showed a happy dog, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. When I returned, Poe actually greeted me cheerfully (instead of giving me his usual "silent treatment"), and there were no signs of stress or behavioral setbacks. That spoke volumes about how well Renee connected with him. Renee went above and beyond in every way: she kept our home clean, restocked and cooked Poe's meals when needed, and even painted a wonderful portrait of him that we now have displayed at home. She was punctual, thoughtful, and truly attentive to every detail. We're so grateful to have found her and will absolutely be asking for her help again. She gave us true peace of mind and treated Poe as if he were her own dog. Thank you Renee and Big City Woof
