They had a website where you could prove your affiliation, and receive $0.50 off per gallon of gas, up to 20 gallons, with a coupon code at their gas stations. My car typically holds about 18-21 gallons of gas, depending how low I let the meter go.... so saving $0.50 a gallon is a great deal! I signed up for the promo and received two coupon codes. There was an expiration date on the codes but otherwise, you could use them at any BP gas station. The difficult part was figuring out how to actually use the coupon code at the pump. It took many attempts. I even witnessed an older man go inside the store to use his coupon code. That may have been the easiest way, but I wasn't about to go inside and wait in line during covid back in the peak season of covid. I would say this promo definitely changed my attitude towards BP gas. Now, if i'm in the area, I will get gas from this station because of their prior commitment to the community. It definitely improved their image.

However, this particular day, I remembered that it was here when thinking about where to stop for gas. We pulled up to the pump and I used the app to conveniently activate the pump and pay for gas. One of the reasons I'll stop at a Wawa is because of this convenient feature. We didn't go inside, however, I imagine that it is not much different from the one down the road from it...or any other one. Getting out of the drive back onto 436 can be a challenge as oncoming traffic can be difficult to gauge. Hopefully, drivers will let you out while they are waiting for the red light.

Besides their frequent $1 any size coffee with free add-ins, they create value through their touch-screen ordering system that allows you to choose set sandwiches, salads, and drinks or to customize your own creation. I like customizing so this feature keeps me returning. I've enjoyed both sandwiches and salads and have to admit I was surprised by the quality and taste. Of course I'd be remiss if I didn't put in a word for the soft pretzels sold here. Wawa does a good job of replicating the taste and texture of originals from Philly. While I don't fill up the van here with gas, I do notice that Wawa's gas prices are very competitive. Wawa offers variety and a lot of value, even if you don't need to fill up the tank. I pointed out only one was at the corner of ... to which she assured me there was one by the freeway and one .... So I asked her on what corner was HER WALGREENS. We're by First Watch and Chipotle. My sister moved in to the original. We have spent most of our lives in San Sebastian and on the SAME street. I'm telling you all of that because this store has always been a staple in mine and my family's life, so-to-speak, and we are "regulars". Even through the changing of owners, all of them have been wonderful and courteous. If you total is $5.25 & you don't have the 25 cents on you, you can bring it by later or the next day. They will order a specific product (they did this for me on a specific brand of import beer back before I got sober) and they usually have the same deals on soda that other bigger chains have. Plus they also make boiled peanuts (but only the cajun ) and have an icecream freezer with different icecream bars. They also sell different CBD products and herbal products and cigarettes you can't find at the larger chains that are cheaper. The popular brands can SOMETIMES be a bit more expensive but they honor coupons from those vendors and they don't charge you a fee or a minimum to use credit/debit over cash. I live this little store and hope it's there a long time. They are open until 8pm but close early at 6pm on Sundays.
