not sure about incompetence but the service here is atrocious, 3 different times we have called to have my wifes meds moved from old pharmacy that our insurance wont work with, and they say no problem we will have it done and call you. never hear from them for days, finally called a 4th time just to find out they cant do it. we are having doctor send them over after filling we will see what kind of contact they have when script is ready for pick-up. read more

This pharmacy is ridiculously incompetent. On Friday I called the phone number ON MY PRESCRIPTION BOTTLE to request a refill and the computer told me it would be ready for pickup the following Monday after 11:00AM. I went in on Tuesday to pick it up and after standing in line for 15 minutes because there was only one person working the register, the technician told me it "wasn't ready yet" and they needed another thirty minutes to get it ready. I said what do you mean, 30 minutes? I ordered a refill on the computer line and it told me I could pick it up on Monday after 11. She said, "Well, that's the automated system. We'll get it started and it'll take 30 minutes to get it ready and you can wait for it." I said "What do I have to do to get a refill if calling the automated line doesn't do it? Do I have to come in here and ask an actual person for a refill in order to actually get a refill? What's the purpose of having a phone number to call to get a refill if that's the case?" She was not able to process what I was saying. She kept saying "It'll take 30 minutes and you can just wait for it." I said to forget it, this is ridiculous and I turned away to go and she tossed out a snotty "Have a nice daaay" as I was walking away and it made me so mad I got the manager involved. She was all "It's our fault, we're trying to catch up since Rite Aid closed, we're short-handed because no one wants to come and work for us because we're not offering enough pay, when you call the automated line you're the last in a line of 800 people then when you come to pick up your prescription we move you to the front of the line and fill it." Okay, so you're not really "working" on my refill and you need another 30 minutes to finish it up, you're actually waiting until I come in to pick it up to start it. I asked her the same question I asked the technician, if calling the automated line is pointless, what do I have to do to get a refill? Actually walk in to the pharmacy and request it from a person, at which time you will start working on it? She went back to the pharmacy and went behind the counter to fill the pill bottle and brought it to the cash register. As I was paying for it, she told me that since I was so unhappy with them this would be the last refill they would fill for me, like I hadn't already figured that out for myself. As I was driving home I got a text from Walgreens telling me my refill was ready to be picked up, good grief. They'll be going the way of Rite Aid any day now. read more

Man, I got to say, this is the best Walgreens of all! I have never been to a Walgreens with more delight, inspired employees, gleaming, warm light. The merchandise is the most amazing products I've ever come in contact with. I might add that with a name like Walgreens you think they have the walls painted green, but no. They are white! We just adds to the clean atmosphere. The pharmacy sells drugs on the toilet has mediocre products. I couldn't ask for anything More. read more

I was appalled by the behavior of the man behind the counter at the pharmacy this evening. After waiting in the ER with my husband who was in a hypertensive crisis all day today (not to mention I'm 31 weeks pregnant, huge, tired and taking care of everyone but myself with a smile on my face), I walked into the pharmacy to see if I could get the prescription my husband was prescribed transferred to this Walgreens after the Walgreens on Summitview was closed, as it was extra important that he start taking the medication this evening. Apparently the man behind the counter had just gotten off the phone with my husband who was unhappy that Walgreens would not transfer over the medication, but regardless, I was just an innocent party walking up to the counter trying to take care of my sick husband. The man at the pharmacy didn't like that my husband was upset, and he used foul language (he had the nerve to use the F word) with me when he explained that he had just gotten off the phone with my husband and couldn't help me. How rude...I literally said "I hope you can help me, my husband was in the ER today and..." but he cut me off and shut me down straight away. If you can't deal politely with the public, don';t have a job where you work with the public. I did not deserve to be treated the way I was and I'm not happy about it. read more

Walgreens at 6400 W. Nob Hill Blvd, used to be a fantastic pharmacy to get your prescriptions filled. For the last year, + it has gone down hill and is probably the slowest, most non responsive pharmacy in Yakima. It takes a full 24 hours or more to get prescription filled after it is called in by your Doctor. Try to call the pharmacy you will wait for at least 20 minutes before you get a response. Unfortunately Medicare Pard D dictates where you can go for preferred providers or I would gladly go elsewhere. Walmart was much, much faster. read more

Even though the locations for Walgreens isn't as convenient compared to other similar stores. I do prefer it. The associates are nice and helpful. You don't need a discount card to get sale prices. The only negative I can think of is I think they have a cellular internet blocker. I'm on Verizon I can only get a signal by the front doors. They have a app that you can refill prescriptions multiple ways. Check on your rewards level read more

This store has gone down fast from being quick in the pharmacy to now waiting on hold for a half hour to be hung up on to 7 cars in the drive through and waiting an hour for medication and now to have a medication sent over by the er at 830 on a saturday evening to go at 230 pm on Sunday and it not being ready to calling 5 times on a Monday and being hung up on each time..... no I can not just go to the store as I have two sick kids with a cold pink eye and one with an ear infection and a single mom it's just not that easy!!!! read more

I don't shop here but they do have a redbox. I had went to go rent some movies from the redbox they have outside and my car died. One of the workers were nice enough to jump my car and asked if I needed help, I didn't need to ask her. She was very nice and kind. She was helpful and very polite. read more

Service was slow and not very good. They overcharged me on a pack of playing cards and then I had to wait quite a long time to get my 45 cents back. I had to go to another line and wait in it to get my refund. Seemed silly when it was their mistake. I'll give it another try since it's a drug store within walking distance but so far I'm not impressed. read more

I went 20mins. to closing and I knew what I was going for, But some Little girl that was working said You only have like 3 mins to get what u want cause we are about to close. I have had the misfortune of getting prescriptions filled here three times. They are slow, rude, and refuse to be helpful. I was treated as if I was a bother rather than a customer. This is the last time I will use this Walgreen's. read more

This pharmacy is a joke. They don't know what they're doing. Don't try to go an extra step to help you out. Don't even speak clear English so you can understand them. Their drive up window has garbage strewn thru it all the time. And, there's a homeless guy living across from the drive up window,behind a dumpster that jumps out to ask you for money that will give you a heart attack ! I've complained repeatedly about all of these things and nothing is done. read more
