Pharmacy hours are awful, pharmacy techs are extremely slow, they do not care about patients, they need more help or faster help.

This really is my go to place to get my brows done. I came here once several years ago on a whim…read more My first visit, I had my brows "mapped". As a consumer skeptic, I thought it was just a scam to make me feel like the price was worth it. But, then I saw the finished product and was wowed. The Brow Bar has had some turnover in the years that I've been going and each time my regular girl left, I'd think to myself - "Now is the time to break free from the more costly brow wax and go somewhere new." And, I did - more than once. And, every time I left those places not happy with the product. When that product is on your face 24/7 - you want to be satisfied. So, back I went to Ulta. If you are looking for a superior brow experience and result, visit the Brow Bar at Ulta. Personally - I think Betty is the best!

I love getting my brows waxed at the Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta. They do other facial waxing and…read moreother services but the only thing I've had done is the eyebrow waxing. Christie and Betty do an excellent job and they are both really nice girls. Eyebrow waxing is $20 before tipping. Believe me girls, it is worth it. Yes you can go to a nail salon and get your brows waxed for like $10, but you'll get home and finish plucking them yourself (been there, done that). At the Benefit Brow Bar I've never had to go home and finish the job. They are perfect! Once I get them waxed here I'll pluck them myself for a couple months, following the shape. Once they start getting a little wonky though, I'll let them grow in a bit before coming back to get them perfected again. While they are doing your brows, they'll teach you how to use their products so you can make them look just as good at home. They will also put some concealer on you so your face isn't all red and puffy when you leave the store. Benefit make-up is my favorite brand. I wear the lightest shade of brow zings and have been using the same one for about a year. Yes, Benefit brand make up is more expensive than say Ulta's brand or Revlon, L'Oreal etc. but it lasts a really long time and it's higher quality.

My teenage daughter has been getting her hair done at Shine for about 3 years. She started out…read moregetting simple hair cuts, and over the years has progressed to getting highlights (foil) and more advanced hair styles with long layers, "curtain bangs". The salon has a wonderful vibe and esthetic for young women to discover their style and explore different hairstyles. The people who work there are friendly and welcoming. They pay attention to each customer's specific needs, making sure to care for them in a way that feels comfortable and easy so they can be themselves. Every time my daughter has an appointment she leaves feeling so good about herself, and is so happy - this is a such a gift! The appointment scheduling is easy, and they do text appointment reminders and confirmations, and it is easy to reschedule if needed. The prices are the average of what one would pay anywhere for hair services...they definitely are not more expensive than other places. The only slightly negative thing is they do seem to recommend a lot of hair products...and at our last visit...they recommended $150 worth of products...and one product...a small bottle of some kind of styling gel was $53 by itself. This seems a bit excessive. When I declined to purchase, there was no attitude or pressure to reconsider....Thank goodness!

The salon itself has a warm, clean, professional, and welcoming ambiance. The online booking process was super easy. All of the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Shine, and Iralys in particular, for an outstanding experience that will leave you feeling empowered, confident, and heavily complimented! Just be careful if you're driving yourself home, because you're going to want to take selfies.

It feels like you've stepped into someone's home or personal art gallery (a relaxed one run by super nice, super hip people you could kick back and have a local beer with, not the stuffy kind that won't let you touch anything and watches you like a hawk as you peruse). But this is a shop. One where you can purchase (without breaking the bank, might I add) seaweed specialty foods (like granola bars, sauces, teas), seaweed and sea inspired bath and body items (DYK: seaweed is rich in vitamins, minerals, and contains anti-inflammatory properties?!), seaweed and sea inspired home goods, and more. I believe most (if not all) of their items are also local and sustainably sourced. Could it get better? YES. Because, they've got a beautiful focus on education and ocean conservation as well - so you can buy reusable, non-breakable straws, wine cups, and pints here. #beatplasticpollution As a mermaid, this has easily become my favorite store in all of Portland.

I walked away with some cute shower aromatherapy scent bombs which i've never seen before, that made my giftees super super happy! The dog items were also cute, including like a seaman's rope leash thing. PROTIP: Some of the seaweed is actually cheaper around the corner at the Portland Co-op.

I've gone to Toni a few times to have hair extensions installed well I'm in Maine...this is not my…read morefirst experience with extensions or Toni so take what I'm about to say in this review seriously because the overpriced service and poor execution from Toni is consistent and could end up costing you your natural hair. Toni charges $200 for a BASIC sew in...legit like 4-5 tracks..no take down,no cut, no style,no wash (wash area is filthy- wouldn't want a wash)...JUST install. She gets away with this because there's only like one other stylist in the area that does sew in and not tape in extensions-anyways when she installed my hair she just braided one side then the other side and secured them together in the middle of my head with cheap rubber bands - why she didn't braid a full secure braid across and sew a knot to secure is beyond me...and I wasn't aware that's how she was installing.. so she then installed the 3 bundles of raw Cambodian 30inch hair AND double wefted the hair onto these poorly weak braids. Making is very heavy on already a weak foundation from her lack of effort... lazy -half a$$ - crook- whatever..you know what it is if you know hair. * I didn't buy this hair from Toni - I paid $900 Within 2 wks I had wefts hanging and falling out.. because her lazy rubber band method broke down after one blow dry! If she asked me if it was alright to use rubber bands instead of a proper Crochet knot I would have asked her if it was okay if I paid 50$ for the service seeing how that's a HUGE change in quality and longevity ... honesty I would have taken my hair and ran out the door. She offers to have you come in an pay a "small fee" to have your tracks tightened... but what she means is come in and pay her $30 something dollars to change or replace the 99cent rubber bands she used. My hair was already falling out... A professional install requires special KNOTS to secure the braid so the hair weft can then be properly and securely sewn to your head- NO rubber bands to secure a foundation alone period. If this is not done properly it will end up putting extra stress on your natural hair resulting in massive breakage at the root. She secured heavy long wefts on insecure braid connected with rubber bands in the middle where the most tension and weight is . SMH she's been in this business a long time and YES she's knows better - Not a rookie My hair bundles and her basic sew in service= $1150 and lasted less than 2wks AND caused substantial damage to my natural hair....seriously considered small claims court for the damage it caused my natural hair but Rona hit- And I just will never go back and sharing my true experience-save your money time and hair by taking the drive to MA CT NY and skip Toni

They also have all kinds of extensions and ponytails and any hair supply you would need! I have been going there for a while now and finally decided to set up a hair braiding appointment and I was far from disappointed. I honestly almost cried because of the amazing job that the braider did. Her name is Suzie and she's an absolute professional and completely underrated. Most of the hair braiders in Maine (I've been to a lot.) have always disappointed me and have never even come close to the hairstyle that I've asked for. Not only did she have to simply look at the photo and know exactly how to do the hairstyle I wanted.... But it was so reasonably priced. She helped make my birthday an amazing day because I got to have my hair looking exactly how i wanted it! THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN! DEFINITELY COME HERE! ILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE.
