CVS is nostalgic to me, and has always been my pharmacy/store of choice going back to when I was young. It's more than just a drug store; we'd buy our school supplies, toiletries, holiday candy, Hallmark cards and cosmetics. Now, I'll drive a farther distance out of my way to go to CVS vs another pharmacy. This location is no different and I'm here at least once a week... It's homey with the carpeted floors and compact shelves, overflowing with merchandise. It's always the same pleasant staff that greet you warmly with an eagerness to assist. The music is always pleasant, whether it's holiday music in December or oldies the rest of the year. And you can actually hear it instead of carts on tiled floors like in other stores! The self- checkout is a huge benefit, even if it is overly sensitive and you usually need a staff member to assist each time-- luckily they're quick to help! The 1-hour photo center is more like a 5-minute photo center! Yes, prices are higher than the grocery store.... but there's always so many coupons and promos in the app, not to mention the frequent 20-30% coupons that you receive, plus cash back. Filled out my personal information, answered a few questions and had an option of date/times for an appointment. They had a same day appointment available in about an hour and chose that. As I included my cell phone number, a text was sent to check-in for the appointment. I did still have to check in with the pharmacy though, so not sure why they sent the text. The pharmacy was super busy, but I was checking in quickly and told I can wait in the seats at the side of the pharmacy. A physical screen is set up by the pharmacy staff entrance with a table of supplies on one side and some customer seats on the other. The Pharmacist came out, verified who I am and what shot(s) I am getting. She was very pleasant and did a great job giving me the jab! CVS offers three shots: RSV, Flu and Covid booster. The staff were lovely, the store clean and well stocked. Prices are as good as you will get at a pharmacy store. I tend to get the store brand products (like allergy meds, eye care, etc.) if available (after checking the ingredients to be sure they are the same). They also have a free membership you can join to accrue points and get coupons. Every bit counts.
