I am a 67 year old current cancer and Bastrups disease patient. I have been with Walgreens for over 30 years. needless to say I'm in a lot of pain and undergoing surgeries almost weekly. My Doctor has called me in several pain medications trying to relieve my severe pain. However the pharmacist thinks he knows better than my surgeon and refuses to fill my prescription. I think anyone with pain needs avoid this pharmacy and this pharmacist. there are too many other professionals out there with much better attitudes that will stay in the lane they currently are skilled at. The issue I have is mainly with the staff and professionalism at this location. No other Walgreens do I experience the slowness and rudeness that occurs with the "specifically" the Pharmacy. The front counter folks and photo folks are great, but the pharmacy is the reason I'm giving this location a one star review. They are extremely slow, rude, and FORGET about new prescriptions all the time. Just last week, I had surgery - needed pain meds which was called in 4 hours prior to me going to pick them up. I had an appointment today for a vaccine I made online for this pharmacy and getting there they had no record of my appointment or the vaccine in stock. This should be zero stars. Plain and simple, and from reading previous reviews, I am not the only one that feels that way. How to describe the level of incompetency of the pharmacy? My father was sick and was prescribed anti-biotics so naturally that order was sent to Walgreens to pick up. The order is correct, all of the information is correct, but somehow the staff at the pharmacy gave him THE WRONG MEDICATION!! How the fu@# do you do that? I tried for two days to speak to someone in the pharmacy on the phone-with no answer. The second day I was on the phone for 50 minutes and listened to the auto message alert me that there were more than 3 people ahead of me. I stayed on the line till it said no one was ahead of me. This place is a joke! Just moved to this area is looking for another pharmacy. First, they said they didn't have a called in prescription for me.m and to look again and it was there. Told me it'll be 45 minutes. Came back 3 hours later and it still wasn't ready. Came back an hour after that and was told it wasn't ready. The pharmacist gone tell me "We'll we're busy". The person who they were helping before me controlled prescription they filled the day before was missing. They spent so much time looking for this while about 10 people were waiting to be helped. Now I understand why this Walgreens gets the lowest rating Yelp has to give. I called to see if they were giving the Pfizer booster shots. After calling and getting the corporate runaround they finally transferred me to the branch I originally called. The young lady that answered said yes they are giving the booster and you could just walk in. I asked if there were any conditions and she said you have to fill out a questionnaire. I asked again is there any conditions that would not allow me to get the booster. She again said it just depends on the questionnaire. So I got specific and asked if I had had my two shots from Pfizer could I get the booster. It's been over 6 months. She kept wanting to go to the questionnaire. I asked her if there were any conditions that would prevent me from getting the booster. She finally got down to saying well if you have cancer, hepatitis or any other underlying conditions I would not be able to get it. Why could she have just told me that once I asked the question. When I asked her that she said. Well I'm telling you now. So in essence if it has asked if they were giving the booster and she said yes and I didn't need an appointment just come in and fill out the questionnaire I would have wasted my time since I wasn't eligible for the shot because I didn't have any underlying conditions. Got to the pharmacy 15 min before closing and waited in the drive thru line, it was about 5 cars deep but I was hopeful and patient. (I have a broken leg or I would've gladly gone inside) get to the front of the line a few minutes past closing and I watched the girl walk away after helping the car before me. I waited until 45 min after closing and they never came back. I hate going to places close to closing, but I just broke my leg and got a notice that my prescription was ready so I wanted to get the medication to help with the pain. It's disheartening that I waited and wasted that much time to not even get the prescription and to still have to go home in pain... read more

Went to pick up prescriptions. They told me it would be an hour. Came back 90 minutes later and was told it would be an additional 15 minutes but that my rx was ready. Still was not ready. Specifically said I want brand for one of my meds that I have been on for years. Tried to give me generic and then had to wait longer for the correct medication. read more

The absolute worst Walgreens I've ever been to. Because of this place I'm never using Walgreens again. I wish I could leave zero stars. I am beyond upset with the pharmacy at this Walgreens. I wait at least an hour in line in the drive thru every single time. I've had to go there three separate times this week for the same medication they either screwed up or haven't ordered yet! They told me they had to order a prescription of mine due to it being out of stock on Monday, it is Friday now and they still haven't ordered my medication! They said it MAY be in next Monday. Unless you go through the drive thru you're going to be waiting for your prescription for a long time. I just stood in line for 30 mins while one pharmacy tech was having a couple fill out papers and the other couldn't figure out how to take one client in the drive thru and then one from inside. She took 5 or 6 drive-thru customers before she ever decided to come help wittle down the inside line. read more

If it were possible to give zero stars, I would. Every time I get a prescription filled there is a problem. They didn't fill it one month because it was too expensive. I know how much it costs. I have been getting it filled for several years. I will decide if I can afford it or not. If I ask you to refill it, it means I have decided that I will pay the$. This month I got new insurance. They told me the insurance company would not cover it. So I called CVS and gave them the RX info and my insurance info and it was filled same day. This Waxahachie Walgreens pharmacy is a joke. I've never been able to have a wait that was less than 20mins. They are either short staffed year round, or just incompetent. Not to mention the main pharmacist is extremely rude and has a "don't bother me with questions" attitude. I love Walgreens as a store and used them in Dallas exclusively,. When I moved here I figured the transition would be easy, NOPE. I finally stopped allowing myself to waste time here and transferred to Target. So much easier and timely! Worst pharmacy in Waxahachie. They are the only pharmacy that stays open late and that's the only reason I continue to use this pharmacy since I work far and usually need to pick up after other locations are usually closed. This location will tell you a time frame it will be ready but I can promise it's never ready in that time frame. Once it was never entered into the system. Today I called to see if they had a product for an infant and was told it would take the tech 15 minutes to look because she was busy so I asked to be transferred to the front. I didn't want to go in the store if they didn't have it because I have a newborn and 18 month old but was hung up on. I couldn't imagine how busy she could be at 6:45 so I got out and took my kids in. Took me 2 seconds to find the suction I was looking for and walk to the pharmacy to find no one there besides two pharmacy techs. I said wow you were so busy you couldn't help me. I just had my very negative experience for the third time and all three times were in there prescription pick up drive thru. I am no longer a cutomer of walgreens in in Waxahachie Texas. I have never been treated so rude before by a business where I'm choosing to spend my hard earned money. They treat you not like you're a customer but like you're inconveniencing them by driving up and trying to fill a prescription or pick up prescription. It was sometime in January I drove up to the drive thru to drop off a prescription, now me being an adult I understand first come first serve so the people on the other side of me were being helped first and I was supposed to be next in line. But instead the pharmacist waited for the second car to drive up and help them and left me sitting there I have been waiting for seven and a half minutes by then so when I press the call button to address the issue she ignored it twice. She literally made complete eye contact with me and turn the call button off she didn't say a word to me. So finally when I got fed up with the situation I continuously press the call button and finally when the car drove off she then tried to help me by saying what do you need?. I just drove off I couldn't believe how rude and unprofessional she was. Which would bring me to this last time two days ago I drove up to the drive thru this time no one was there I drove up to the drop off box and as soon as I tried to drop off my prescription the little window closed down mind you, the pharmacist is at the window I can see her clearly she's working on her computer completely ignoring me so I sit there for a couple of seconds and I press the call button she makes eye contact with me and then goes back to her computer, so again I pressed the call button and again nothing but rudeness. So finally after two or three minutes of sitting there staring at her she asked me if I need to drop off a prescription I've been told her she could have asked me that about 2-3 minutes ago instead of ignoring me she proceeded to tell me if I didn't need to drop off a prescription or pick something up then why was I in her drive through?. I could not believe how rude and unprofessional these people are at Walgreens in Waxahachie Texas. I have never took the time out to give anyone a bad review ever in my life even though I've had many negative experiences but this is been an ongoing situation and I could no longer ignore it. If you need prescriptions sure you can go to Walgreens but if you want to be treated like a customer or even appreciated for spending your hard earned money don't go to Walgreens in Waxahachie. read more

I am so angry at the poor service of this pharmacy. I called in a refill and they never called to tell me it was ready. So I called them and they said they are "out of stock". This is a common perception which they should have at all times. So I called CVS so I could get it there instead.. Then, I go to CVS and they said they are still trying to get ahold of the pharmacist at Walgreens. THEN, Walgreens called me and told me my prescription was ready, so I return to Walgreens thinking they got it in. I sat in line for 37 minutes (yes I counted). Then the lady took 9 minutes to "look for my order", she finally comes back with the pharmacist and tells me that they done have it!!! What???? Then why is the message thing calling me???? Hey Walgreens, GET IT TOGETHER and HIRE A PHARMACIST that knows what they are doing!!! Because I will NEVER return to your sorry excuse for a drug store. EVER!!! read more
