Not sure why this location has gotten low ratings or reviews. In all of my online shopping either for pickup or delivery, this location has been efficient. When I pick up they print receipt and any other coupons for later use. When my items are being delivered, I receive my order as I have ordered them and within timeframe they indicate, usually within 30 minutes. I have no complaints. read more

I usually don't love this location but I need to give them a good review this one time because wow! After waiting 5 hours for another walgreens to fill my daughters cough medicine I decided to stop here and switch it to this location since it's closer to me not really expecting they would fill it right away. To my great surprise the girl working offered to fill it right away and it was filled in 10 minutes right before her lunch break she even updated my daughters address!! Absolutely horrible customer service Drive through was "open" but they made everyone come inside due to a register being down. As a leader, you should close the drive through or use the inside register. Once I came inside, the black lady wearing a face mask was very rude and yelled at me several times. Doodoo ass pharmacy. lazy untrained staff. I'm honestly surprised no one has died from getting the wrong medicine. My wife has been trying to get her prescription filled for 2 weeks. Tried to switch to walmarts pharmacy, but no one at walgreens picks up the phone to do the transfer. She went in person to do the transfer herself and other people were switching theirs as well. Honestly, why even become a pharmacist if your too lazy and slow to handle peoples medications. read more

Not happy with the pharmacy. Going back to Rite Aid where they are at least open on Saturdays and they can refill a prescription in hours vice days and weeks. Other pharmacies are open on weekends and until 9:00 at night vice 7:00 here and Walgreens can take over a week to get a simple / common pill filled. read more

This pharmacy is so disorganized and horrible. First off they don't take anthem insurance for some reason. So I end up paying cash for it. Second they didn't have all of my prescription so picked up a partial. Was promised two days later the rest would be in. Here we are 4 days later and they just now have it. Was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. I returned 2 hours later and the pharmacist hasn't even looked at it yet. Don't use this pharmacy. Horrible service and takes forever. Wife injuries her knee so visit doctor at 8am in the morning. Doctor calls in pain meds to this Walgreen's. Keep calling all day and still not ready. Wife in pain all day and all night not able to sleep. Get to the pharmacy when they open (which they open late) and the girl at the register (you will know who she is if you visit) has the worst attitude, no sympathy and all excuses of being busy and why she can't get it filled timely. I wait for it and she just gives constant attitude as if customers are inconvenience. Guess what? You are in a customer service business...perhaps you shouldn't. Just hope no one she cares for has to wait on her to get anything done. They need to find someone else to be the face of their pharmacy up front. Move her to floor stocking shelves after hours. The WORST pharmacy. The staff that answers are always irritated and have no customer service. I've been waiting a MONTH for a prescription that I kept being told "it's ordered it's ordered". Today I finally got to speak with the pharmacist and she says "we can't order that. Sorry". I was furious. I've been waiting for my prescription for a month. Some man who works there reassured me three times that he's ordered it. Also asked about my daughter's prescription that was sent in a week ago only to be told "well it's over the counter can't you buy it on Amazon" I said no it was prescribed and it's not available over the counter. if i could give 0 stars i would.... the pharmacist here must be over worked ... ever since rite aid closed i've been coming here.. there's always some sort of problem but today im so upset the pharmacist hung up on me after i asked for the district managers name bc she wasn't satisfying what i needed... and then she even said i should find another pharmacy... who does that just bc you have adisagreement and want to go above their head?? i have the phone call recorded.. thank goodness bc i record all my calls for stuff like this... anyway waiting on a call back from whoever they forward my complaint to 1800walgreens to....bc that's all i could do...beyond frustrated......pharmacist seems over worked...rude, smart allecky, talked down to me was very condescending... wouldn't give her superiors nor her name but i know who she is bc she's the same pharmacist i always talk to.....waiting on a callback from a district manager... all i want is just ano hassle way to get my scripts... without attitude and condescending conversation... read more

I love going to this Walgreens They're very friendly! However the Pharmacy is horrible. Everyone that works the Pharmacy is rude which is why I transferred my prescriptions to Walmart. Never in my life have I seen an entire department this rude and unprofessional. read more

I recently had to leave Kroger Pharmacy because my insurance company no longer worked with Kroger so I transferred my prescriptions to this Walgreens. I have one prescription that was on backorder for several months. I was told it should be in by December. I called to find out if the Rx was available and was told that it had been discontinued. I tried to discuss an alternative and Shay was extremely rude. I finally asked to be transferred to the Pharmacist, George, he was equally rude. Both were disrespectful and condescending. I asked George if the Rx was discontinued did he have a suggestion, he did not. When I asked about an Rx substitute I was going to ask my doctor about and whether it was available, he wanted to know what strength, I told them I didn't know, he said he couldn't help. I pulled an imaginary Rx strength from the air and he said that it could be ordered. So rude. I called my doctor and asked her to call me in a different Rx ( no the one I discussed with George) when I got off work this evening, I called Walgreens to check the status. The automated message said my insurance wouldn't approve it. Although I did not want to talk to these rude people again, I had been waiting for this Rx for 4 months, and I needed to get the alternative Rx. I called and Shay answered the phone, as a new Walgreens customer I don't know how they operate, so I asked her about the automated message and the insurance company. She stated my Doctor would have to phone in another prescription. I asked her how much without insurance and she literally screamed into the phone $859. I asked her how much it would be with Good Rx and she asked if I wanted her to look it up (?) because of her disrespect I asked to speak to the pharmacist again. She put me on hold, I waited. It rang back again. Another young lady whose name I didn't get proceeded to tell me that the pharmacist was very busy talking to doctors and didn't have time to talk to me. I asked about my Rx and she told me that this Rx too had been discontinued, and that I would have to call my doctor. Also, that the doctor had written that the drug was medically necessary and that perhaps the doctor should write formulary instead. This young lady was also very rude, several times she talked over me and acted as if she was reading from a script . Lastly, she threw in how busy they were and that they had filled 1,000 prescriptions today. I have never had so much drama trying to get a medication. Trying to deal with these individuals is self-defeating. I plan to have my doctor phone in another prescription and when I go to pick it up I am going to get a copy of my Rx profile and remove myself from these rude, disrespectful people. I truly feel sorry for anyone who doesn't have adequate transportation and may have to stay there for the sake of their health and be held hostage by such a rude non customer focused, hostile and condescending people working in that pharmacy. If they don't like their jobs quit. Stop taking out whatever nasty feelings you may have about yourselves on your customers. Truly some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced and so completely unnecessary. Avoid these people if you can - they're pathetic. read more

This pharmacy needs to be under new management. They are not open on weekends. Staff is always changing and half the Techs don't know what they're doing. When I call to refill my scripts, if it is not a tenured Tech who knows my name, I get told there are no prescriptions to be filled. They are slow and not friendly. If there was a power outage one day, resulting in prescriptions being backlogged, why would they not be proactive and bring in extra help to get caught up? I was sick so went through the drive thru at 5pm and my prescription that was sent in 6 hours earlier was not even started. They told me to come inside for faster service..... so I can spread my germs??????? God forbid a pharmacist actually come in early or stay later than scheduled hours. A power outage does not prevent people from needing their medicine. This pharmacy is just ridiculous! The test of the store is average and cashiers are usually friendly. read more

The store itself is ok, but the location is horrible. If your objective is to leave here and go anywhere but Kempsville rd towards Chesapeake, good luck. The traffic flow of the parking lot is one of the worst I've experienced, particularly when this busy intersection is at rush hour. read more

This Walgreens is not as organized and as friendly as the one by my house, but still good. Like the previous reviewer said, the location is kind of hard to get to. Plus, I don't think they are open 24 hours like the one by my house. Why do different Walgreens close at different times? read more

This is a slower store so you shouldn't have too many long wait in the front end or pharmacy. The location does make it tough during rush hour to get out. read more

Was is yesterday for cold meds a few household items. Store had what i needed was clean and checkout was decent.. Crowd was a little rough.
