I have changed my pharmacy to CVS in Centralia. I cannot get a dr ordered prescription from Walgreens i less than 2 or 3 days. I've been to a few different Walgreens, this one is my main one besides one in Boise. I've read the reviews and I understand why people can be so easy to give a Walgreens a bad review based on the wait time. What else I can tell you? Well, most Walgreens are absolutely understaffed and employees seem to be stretched thin. Yet, the customer service does not lack. These employees are working as hard as they can all while being polite and patient with what I witnessed very rude customers. Customers demand 5 Star treatment with 0 Star behavior. The patience of the employees I witnessed should be appreciated and rewarded. As a customer, I give the employees full respect and appreciation. I'm not sure I'd be able to handle rude behavior and rude language from impatient customers. Even with an obvious staff shortage, the store is clean, the cashier, floor person and especially the pharmacy are always very friendly. Ps. Parking is great too. Lots of parking. DO NOT USE They said they couldn't fill a prescription, until The next day (2 part prescription), I said I'll fill it somewhere else, go to Fred Meyer and they Walgreens went a head and filled one charging my insurance! I heard Walgreens isn't staffing their stores well. I've heard from others that they do not stick frequently. read more

Used to be fine when I first started using them in 2023. But recently , looks short staffed, takes 9-10 days to get meds filled and even then , they will often say, oh it's not ready, but if you wait 30min we can get it done for you . today I spent 1 hour 27 minutes on hold trying to get through to them to release an RX in the queue, as I am transferring all my RX to Fred Meyers. I finally tried calling the store manager and I spent 4 min 27 sec while the phone rang and rang and rang. Not sure what has changed but not a happy camper, and I can't recall them any longer. read more

Your prescription will not be addressed until you walk in. Two times been told have to wait until 5pm to see if it's on "the truck". If it's on the truck, we can do it. Like a former Soviet eastern block country with supply chain problems. They always seem understaffed. read more

I have used the Walgreens in Tumwater for almost 10 years. This last year has been awful- prescriptions not ready after them receiving a week prior, can no longer use the drive through since they are never ready when they say. The employees are doing the best they can- but always understaffed. They are losing so many customer. read more

Online appointments mean NOTHING! Had a 2:30 pm appointment but wasn't given my vaccination until 3:00 pm. They took the guy with the 2:40 pm appointment ahead of me. The sign at the counter tells you to scan the QR Code, check in and have a seat until called. Wrong. I wasn't seen until I went up to the counter. Luckily, there was no line at the time. read more

I was just on "hold" for 4 hours! Pharmacy never picked up!!! I am moving my business else where. I do not recommend this business.

I come to this particular Walgreens many times during the week. Unfortunately it's the closest place for small items I needs . EVERY SINGLE TIME there is a huge line and ONE lady working the register ! 3 other workers just walking around doing other things while there is a line forming longer and longer ! It is ridiculous! Left clinic and waited 2 hours to pick up My script- then figured in my condition the drive through would be best. Very patiently watch each vehicle take 5-7 minutes. I was about 40 min in line. My turn yay! (Not). The gal says did your dr explain these pills are $100? I said idk if it $200 oh well then you need park and walk in? Huh? I am disabled- basically a paraplegic that still can walk some. By time I got back to counter pills were miraculously ready to go? Great place to stop for high prices, long lines and rude employees. The final straw was after a trip to urgent care I took my prescription to Tumwater Walgreens. The pharmacist said "I can't read this!" I said ok.......maybe you could call over to urgent care and speak with the doctor. She replied "No! You need to go back over there and have him write this legibly!" Like she was a 4th grade teacher turning down my child's homework. I asked "you want me to drive 30 minutes across town, wait in the waiting room for an hour and then drive back here?" She said yes. I took my prescription to Walmart. The pharmacist over there couldn't read the doctor's handwriting either but he made a phone call and in less than a minute had the situation under control. Tumwater Walgreens has steadily gone down hill for years and is. Ow an absolute disgrace. I'm sure they will be closing , like many other Walgreens, very soon. read more

Walgreens pharmacy in tumwater Washington is horrible. I called them because it was a few days after my dr sent over my RX. I was told by the pharmacist that they are switching vendors and they will be out of my medication. I asked for an ETA because I didn't mind having to wait. They told me it will be weeks and that my dr needed to send my prescription somewhere else. I called my dr to send it elsewhere then hours later Walgreens calls to tell me my prescription is ready. I get there after 20 minutes of waiting and they tell me it was lost and I needed to wait 15 minutes for them to fill. I sat in the car for over 20 minutes and receive a notice that it was canceled. I get out of my car wait another 20 minutes in line for them to tell me they canceled it so they could fill it. This whole experience was stressful to me I worked all day and have a young daughter. Very disappointed and feel frustrated with Walgreens and this is something that should not happen. read more

This used to be a great pharmacy, do not use this anymore. Rude on the phone immediately, and not helpful when trying to locate a lost prescription. Called my doctor resent to Costco, no problems. I use the pharmacy a lot here at Walgreens I also do a ton of shopping for my vitamins and hygiene products. First of all the pharmacy is so helpful I was having issues when i switched my insurance and they called my INS company and argued with them on my behalf. All of the pharmacy employees are very helpful and they answer my millions of questions. And it feels like they really care. I never really shopped at Walgreens it was not close to my last home. But they always have BOGO sales on really expensive vitamins I use. And really all of there products go on really great sales every few weeks. I've even used the photo service. I'm not the best with electronic devices but they set you up with a cord and get you all hooked up and if it's not really busy in the store you can get your photos before your done wandering around. It took me about 15 minutes to get 90 prints. It was pretty cool. This store had saved me drom having to deal with walmart for the little things. read more

I come here almost every other day if not everyday lol. This is where I buy my energy drinks and snacks when I don't feel like going into Walmart, which is most of the time haha. I've always had excellent service and now I know like everyone who works there, and they all have great customer service skills. I had used Walgreens here for a couple years but I now no longer have prescriptions there. The staff in Tumwater is friendly and I have no issue with their approach to customer service. In fact it seems a problem that is endemic to Walgreens as a whole that spills into this branch store. I have some medicines that are filled through the mail service and some that are picked up at the actual pharmacy. There is a great disconnect between the pharmacy staff employed at the store and the mail order service. One does not seem to have effective communication with the other. When I ask the pharmacist to assist me with the mail service she is usually unable to attend to my questions and refers me to telephone the mail service in Arizona. The mail service cannot seem to understand that I want my prescriptions sent to a Post Office box and not my house. In short Walgreens has become like a government bureaucracy, and its processes are dysfunctional at times. I'm moving my prescriptions to a local owned pharmacy. With insurance paying for my prescriptions the cost is to me the same. I don't find a reason to stay with Walgreens. read more

I went in to the Tumwater store for the third month in a row for a amazing deal on nicotine lozenges (Walgreens brand of coarse)as I have for three months I screenshot the ad on the website and walk in, but this time the cashier said no and got the shift lead, who also refused the sale stating they don't match their own sale price, I argued my point of it being sold at that price for the previous two months, still wouldn't budge, I left called corporate and was told not only was she wrong they do authorize the price match, but she should have made the sale and dealt with it through her manager, well I ended up making the order online but the added $5.99 shipping price with a total price of $37.00(rounded up) I think I will just grab a 108 count box at Walmart and not shop at Walgreens anymore, total loss of faith in the company, not that I spent a ton of money but they do sale my face scrub , but so does Amazon, I walked out with a few add on items each time first month a 1/2 gallon of milk, the aforementioned face scrub, and yesterday cortaid, again not gonna break the company but losing a customer and I posted my experience on Facebook and here read more

I just had total knee replacement and needed my blood thinner and pain meds. They only had 1/2 the number of the blood thinner I needed and I had to wait 3 hours for the pain meds, which pushed me way over my prescribed time and caused me a boatload of unnecessary pain. I wouldn't normally rate a business based on something like this, but every experience I've had with this Walgreens has been negative. Waiting for 15-20 minutes at the drive up window before even being acknowledged, snide and rude employees, and other times when they didn't have the medication I was prescribed available. Don't waste your time going to this pharmacy. You're better off going to Costco, Freddy's or (gag) Walmart. After my husband picks up the rest of the meds I am waiting for, Walgreens on Trosper won't see me again. Lousy customer service and attention to detail!! read more

This is a lovely new store. But the service-level at the pharmacy is subpar. If you can get service at any other Walgreens go for it. And never go unless you have 25 minutes to an hour to get your prescription filled. read more

This brand new store is convenient for me since it's right around the corner for me, and is much easier to come here to pick up a few things rather than deal with other crazy busy stores in the area. Dropped off prescription about 10 a.m. Told be ready after 12:30. No problem. Get there about 1:40 p.m. and told not ready yet. Just a few minutes. At 2:30 p.m. it's finally ready. No concern about other peoples time. This will be the last time for this pharmacy. Terrible, terrible customer service. Way too much competition to bother with this place ever again. read more

Yesterday, from traveling a very early flight (had to wake up at 0200) in order to be at at SeaTac at 0400, we forgot our daughter's medications. We did not realize this until we arrived in Memphis at 2 p.m. local time.. I immediately called the base Dr (my husband is a vet who served 27 years) and told him the situation. He called Tumwater Walgreens and put in scrip list and was told "they were busy and to call back and leave it on voicemail. They would get to it in an hour." I had also called letting them know, he would be calling and we were leaving airport to find closest Walgreens to have prescriptions transferred there. We had an event to to get to in another state. The pharmacist said they had not received anything from the dr yet. I called my dr back and he told me he left it on their voicemail. So, I called the store manager asking her if she would check the voicemail and to please take down the store where we were waiting at. She said she didn't "do that stuff". - I explained I had already been on hold for 20 mins waiting to speak to a pharmacist already and just to please take down the information in case we got disconnected. She told me she was at front desk and had nothing to do with pharmacy. Argh!!!!! I got disconnected!!!!! I called again and spoke to another pharmacist who no idea what I was talking about and had to explain again. She said the pharmacy in Memphis had to call and request the information which they - the sweet people they were - had done so and had been on the phone waiting for 15 mins. Finally, after 2 hours we got the meds. Now, I realize we forgot the meds. It was 2a.m., but Tumwater Walgreens from the store manager to every person we dealt with in the pharmacy made it difficult to work with not only for us but for our doctor. I'm glad this was not life threatening. Last time we will ever use this pharmacy for our services. Shame on them for treating military vets and their families this way. Disgrace. read more

This is a lovely new store. I am handicapped, however, and shop here partly because of the drive through window. Yesterday, I pulled up to the drive through to pick my filled prescriptions and waited twenty minutes until the car in front of me finished getting her prescription. Needless to say, I was very angry especially hearing the clerk at the window thanking that woman for waiting. I realize that in some instances getting a prescription filled immediately is necessary but drive through etiquette is, or should be, that the attendant should at least ask the customer to drive around so others behind that customer could also be served or that the customer should volunteer to do so himself. My wife prevailed and, when I reached the window, I politely asked for the pharmacist and asked her if they were able to tell that we were waiting. She said no, that they did not, like other Walgreen's, have a mirror installed when they built the store to let them know that. Very nicely I explained that it would be very nice if they could have one installed because of my, and I am sure many others, twenty minute wait. Never mind the oblivious woman who was in front of us, I will be glad to change this review if they make that change, otherwise I will be getting my meds by mail, thank you. The pharmacist was wonderful. It is not her problem. Manager, please wake up. The coffee is ready. read more
