So I turned to the internet to find a new provider for my medication. Samuel provided great customer service to include calling my insurance provider himself to make sure that I was covered under my insurance. That was awesome. Then last week I went to pick up my prescription and the order, while correct in terms of being a generic version of my medication, wasn't exactly what I use and myself and the pharmacist did not want to alter anything since even slight changes in meds can be difficult on the body. So the pharmacist (I believe his name is Dr. Nguyen) went out of his way to find my exact medication, check to make sure it was covered, and then ordered it to be picked up two days later. HEB was not accepting new patients for my medication. I was beginning to panic because I have to take this medication to function and would become extremely sick if I didn't have it. The Pharmacist promptly asked for my information, set me up an account over the phone and told me to have my Dr send over the prescription. She was very kind and professional. I had initially told her I had insurance but it did not cover the prescription and when I called back to confirm it was received she wanted to make sure, in fact, that the insurance wouldn't cover it because it was almost $300. I always have issues every month with CVS. I didn't have not one issue with this lady who didn't even have an account with me to fill a prescription that is so important for me to live. As well as my medical information, address, phone number etc. I go in for my prescriptions not someone else's. I do not have a picture I.D. Because I have been mugged and it was taken along with my wallet. I present my health insurance card. State food stamp card ie.(SNAP) social security card etc. with tape glue still on my arms from the hospital. They refuse my prescriptions. I called 3 friends as apparently anyone with I.D. Can get my scripts. They refuse, a military I.D. Then a temporary state I.D. Then an expired state Drivers License. I'm most definitely never going to go to this or any other Walgreens ever again. I refuse to be treated as though I'm a vagrant or vagabond because I was robbed by a homeless person. This store is always surrounded by homeless people and obvious drug addicts. It's not safe. Poor lighting in the parking lot. People asking for money before you can get out of your car. As well as rude associates. I give them the lowest rating possible. This location should be closed for obvious negligent security and customer safety.

So, I knew we would be In Galveston, TX for at least 24 hours, so I called the pharmacy there at 308 Seawall Blvd. I talked to a gentleman by the name of Joe, who was trying to help me, but was going to need some time and promised to call me back. Just when I didn't think I would hear from him that day, he called me, apologized for taking so long but had been busy. (I totally understood ). He then said he could get my husband's prescription but from a different company. Sure enough, we arrived in town about 4:30 pm, 1st stop was Walgreens and they had his medicine! I want to thank Joesph (Joe) for providing such awesome customer service!
