POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE & POOR STORE MANAGEMENT... I got to drive-thru at 6:55,. 1- White SUV in front of me waited about 2 minutes. They drive off and the dumb @$$... Closes the window and turns off the lights. I ring the bell and blew my horn.... And he did .." It's 7:00 and we are closed ... I explained to him that...I had been behind the SUV. And he kept saying it after 7... I ended calling and trying to speak to a store/ pharmacy manager (KAI). He was useless, Not manager material....I will be calling Corporate!!! read more

It's not just this location, but all Walgreens in Tampa . I have on several occasions needed medication that if not taken results in me being hospitalized. This happens on a regular occurrence. I'm told I can pick up my medication only to find there completely out of stock To make the matter worse they don't even have it ordered and I end up being hospitalized for days waiting on it The pharmacist offers no advice, and if asked if they know of any other location that may have it your promptly told " to figure it out yourself ". They treat you as a nuisance and honestly a waste of their time. Not a shred of human decency for an elderly retired veteran who risked his life only to be treated as a second class citizen . read more

Sometimes 1 star can seem generous, for this Walgreens location it is. I contacted the pharmacy and drove down to pick up a medication, but learned the medication was not available after driving there. They should have called me in advance, but mistakes happen. I called a few days later, a male pharmacist answered the phone. I requested prescription status and price. He informed me of the price, but I misheard him. I asked him for the information again. His response was rude and condescending as was his tone, " I already told you the price, but I guess I can repeat myself and tell you again." Atrocious customer service and attitude. I've never been a fan of Walgreens and rarely shop there; they lost a customer for life. Update:I managed to fill the medication at Costco for a third the price and 1/1000 the attitude. read more

This Walgreens is your typical store so why bother posting a review you're wondering . . . Because the pharmacists I've encountered there on my visits are so caring. (Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of the female pharmacist who helped me on my prior visit.) They remind me of the days where you went to your local drug store and the one pharmacist behind the counter knew your name, your parents, where you lived and every bump & bruise you ever had! This last visit, I was assisted by the pharmacist Joel - he was so patient as he helped my husband and I process our insurance coverage and get the correct vaccinations for our respective age groups. He explained clearly why the insurance company was and was not covering different things and provided us with detailed information to help us decide what to do next. I took notice that while Joel was helping us, every other customer that came in to the pharmacy to pick up orders were individuals who Joel knew by sight. I wish more big chain stores would recognize the value of having employees like these pharmacists who build relationships with the customers. read more

This is a typical @Walgreens, and it's the one closest to my house. It's a good size: not tiny, but not so big that I could've gone to a nearby grocery or big box store in the same amount of time. Selection is good on just about everything, even sale items. In general, they're not out of stock by Monday (even on back-to-school!). The cooler aisle is well-stocked, as is the pantry aisle, for when you just need milk &/or sugar. They also have a wide selection of vitamins (often on BOGO 50%), and store brand medicines at a good value. The cosmetic section is a good size for quick browsing, plus BOGO 50% deals can make some items a great value. But do your homework! Often, even at BOGO 50% prices, some cosmetics can be cheaper at regular price elsewhere. But I love checking out marked down cosmetics here! Also, check the end caps in the back of the store for miscellaneous clearance items The pharmacy here is decent... Nothing notable good or bad. Occasionally they're out of an antibiotic or don't carry some odd thing my doc prescribed, but they'll order it. They have a drive-thru also, so I don't have to go inside. When a cold strikes hard, I come to the pharmacy counter to get the good cold meds...you know, the OTC stuff you have to show ID to buy. Store brand, of course! Service is hit or miss, like much of retail... Sometimes the check out line is long & no one is in cosmetics or photo to help ring up customers. Employees are always friendly, though! As Walgreens goes this is pretty average. I usually am able to get in and out no issues. I used to get RX's filled here but one for my daughter which is pretty popular they would always be out or it costs more so I changed my prescriptions to a different pharmacy. Other than I have had no bad experiences. I have had photos done here they turned out great! I have brought last minute gifts and cards here. I love that they have pre-made gift bags. They carry wine I grabbed that at a gift before shhhh don't tell. I like that they take Apple Pay so I just take my phone. They also have reward points you can use. There's never really a lot of people which is a bonus for me. It's the closed one to me so I will definitely be returning. read more

its been "temporarily closed" for two days, following a power outage in which the whole surrounding area recovered an hour after it. i need to pick up medication but i cant since its closed, and having it sent to a different location is a whole ordeal. terrible business. read more

The store: 6503 west waters ave. Tampa. Fl 33634 My husband was getting his RX filled and the pharmacist refused to allow my husband to pay for it because his ID is from AZ and not FL and specifically demanded that he get a Florida ID and when asked where the policy was in this she did not provide and instead stated that because we asked on the policy that we were rude and refused to allow us to pay for the RX the she had in her hand along with my husbands ID that proved who he is and after we told her we just moved here and I had no issue getting my RX filled. When called to obtain the pharmacist name we belittled by the man on the phone who also refused to give us any detail. I understand if this is in fact a policy then I want to see it. Instead she caused a scene and was discriminatory in her actions and was extremely uncalled for when a patient is needing to have their medication. She took her authority and said a patient could not have their RX. I am making formal complaints as this is not how your pharmacist should be taking to customers in anyway and the media needs to be aware of your stores actions. read more

I would love to think more training for your staff would be beneficial for them and the customers. Unfortunately, employee's like "Johan", should simply not interact with the public. He should be working in a warehouse or something more "independent' of interactions with the public or other people. I came though the drive through to pick up a prescription. Johan told me there was no prescription for me and to contact the provider. Well, I did. She told me the date and time ands store number it was sent to the store. I called and someone else, found it. for some reason it was under my maiden name. I had never even told the prescriber what my maiden name was. No idea how or why It was not correct. But, regardless I was happy they found it. I went to pick it up. Johan, again at the drive through. He asks my name, I tell him. I also tell him I believe its under my maiden name (unsure if the tech on the phone had to merge profiles because of insurance). He tells me "all your prescriptions are closed". I am so confused. We discuss this for a few moments. I tell him that the tech earlier told me it was here and ready. Ultimately he finds it under my maiden name. Proceeds to argue with me that I should have told him my maiden name to begin with. Just bad bad customer service. Embarrassed and incompetent he argues with me. Failing to ever actually listen. Shame on Walgreens overall as a corporation. You won't ever find good people. Johan, you can make the same amount of money working at a warehouse, with less frustration. Walgreens won't notice or suffer, but I have no recourse except to try the CVS down the street instead. I used this Walgreens for convenience. However, if I have to make 2 trips and a phone call, that defeats the point. read more

The Walgreens itself is nice and clean and the main employees are always friendly and helpful. The pharmacy is horrid. 3rd car in the drive through line and sat for 15 minutes. Huge mirror shows them that people are waiting but they leave the window after each car. I am finally at the window and no one bothers to come to it. I sit and wait for 5 minutes then finally decide to just walk in. Should have done that in the first place. Told the tech that I was sitting outside in the line for 20 minutes and he told me that it was due to them doing COVID tests. OK understandable. But could you at least acknowledge the people in the drive through line? I suggested that they need more people (there were only 2) to handle the influx. My comment was not appreciated as he kept mumbling about me not being patient and understanding. Rude rude rude. I have always had problems with this pharmacy but the convenient location made me stay. I will now be transferring my scripts elsewhere. Customer Service is non-existent at this Pharmacy.
