I got a flu shot here. I filled out paperwork and waited about 30 minutes. The pharmacist poked me (that's what she said) and I was on my way. The store is clean and relatively well stocked. Walgreens is a bit on the expensive side for regular items that can be obtained at Walmart/Target. I have only gone here for the flu shots in the last 2 years. The employees were cordial. read more

I came to this Walgreens to visit the AdventHealth clinic in order to get forms filled out for Nursing School. The Provider there was friendly and informative. My visit with her was shorter than expected, which is good. I often feel that clinics struggle with time management & she was very efficient for someone working alone. Afterwards I did some light shopping where the cashier in the beauty section. The cashier there was also very friendly and helpful & actually was able to give me a free gift at check out. The gift box contained a bunch of samplers and coupons. Overall I had an unexpected wonderful experience here & would definitely come back. The cashier at the front was very friendly and welcomed me upon entering. I came to Walgreens a lot growing up and even managed a store briefly when living in another state, it's always felt like home. This store was a little less like home other than the older female cashier with her initial greeting. The pharmacy staff I went to the appropriate window for my medicine and the staff seemed confused as to what appointment I was there for. It took them awhile to get things sorted, although I was 45 minutes early (approx). I was checked in and had to refill out all paperwork I completed online which was slightly annoying but not the worst I've ever had to deal with. I waited awhile after the paperwork and was seen about a half hour before my scheduled time which was nice. I dealt with the same tech from start to finish, a Hispanic woman who was not friendly in the slightest. I was really nervous to be there and visibly shaking and she didn't return any warmth that I was struggling to extend to establish a rapport with to help myself calm down prior to being seen. It was a fairly quick appointment after the check-in, but I can honestly say I'm not looking forward to my next appointment. read more

This location has a 24-hour pharmacy which is convenient. This location is not very easy to get in or out of which makes it one of the locations that I prefer to not visit unless I'm traveling this direction or if their website says they have items in stock that others don't have. This Walgreens is also not on the cleaner side either. read more

Completely unorganized anytime I get my prescriptions or they seem confused about my refills. I called ahead of time, and the person over the phone said my kid, who has horrible strep throat that the prescription would be there almost immediately. Ok cool.. I went to the window and the other guy they had on staff sounded totally confused about which insurance to use, then proceeded to tell me it would be ready in 30 mins .. ok fine, I can wait 30 mins... came back around again for him to tell me "oh we're backed up, and it can take about an hour, as they didn't get a chance to fill it yet"... telling us we should come back. Why not tell us that the first time? Meanwhile, my kid has a 100 degree fever, definitely not wanting to make multiple trips for a prescription in the first place. Ridiculous..The other Walgreens pharmacy I called knew how to fill it with her insurance and how to do it, this guy was just confused as to how to put in her new info.. and goes "let me have my manager look into it." Then, didn't even bother to make our refill a priority. Ugh. It just feels more like a hassle anytime I'm there. read more

This review is only for the purgatory that is the Walgreen's Clinic. They take appointments online but they don't actually honor them. The appointment I made was for 9:30 am., and I wasn't actually taken into the doctor's office until 10:46 am. Apparently, the supervisor of the clinic decided that Monday, when I was there, would be a good day for employee reviews, so she blocked out time OVER EXISTING APPOINTMENTS. She talked to the Nurse Practitioner for over an hour, while I, and another appointment, waited outside. When I finally did get in to see the Nurse Practitioner, she was very flustered but trying to pull it together. Unfortunately, she did not prescribe the best medicines for my symptoms, and it took another phone call to a different NP at the clinic a few days later to get it corrected. This particular clinic doesn't have the ability to test to see if you actually have flu, nor can they prescribe cough medicine with codeine so you can sleep through the night, so their deficiencies, combined with their inefficiencies, make me determined never to return. read more

I needed to run a quick errand, and I -knew- there was a Walgreens just up the street from where I was.. and i was right. So I got in the turn lane and turned in. Upon arriving, I was greeted with a friendly "Welcome to Walgreens!" (Seriously has everyone adopted MOE's slogan? It's kind of annoying.) I looked up at the isle headers and found what I needed. When I looked at the price of the item, I kind of kicked myself, it would have been nearly half the price at Walmart or Target, but what can you do? I was at a convenience store.. ah well, my bad. At the check out, I had to wait behind an elderly woman who was, quite literally counting out her coppers. That took quite a few minutes, but once that was done, the checkout process was quite seamless. This Walgreens location is my favorite. It's not the biggest one I've seen but the employees make up for it. I work close by so I go to this location a lot. The place is always clean and I never have a problem finding what I need. They have a drive thru for the pharmacy witch I'm sure to most people is really convenient. For certain items your better off going to Walmart because Walgreens can be a bit on the pricy side. For the most part it's quick and easy to get everything you need. The parking lot at this location is real easy to get in and out of as well witch is always nice. I'll always keep going back. read more

I unfortunately had to switch from CVS to Walgreens because of my insurance and have not been happy about the switch. The staff has been very rude to me and has no customer service skills. I have had multiple occasions where my prescription cannot be refilled and instead of Walgreens taking any action to get it filled, they simply did nothing. The other day I told an employee that my prescription hasn't been filled for 3 weeks after my doctor submitted my prescription and he asked ME why this was. I said that's what I would like to know so YOU tell ME! He blew me off by saying that they had faxed my doctor about it but after calling my doctor they said they were never faxed and had no idea I hadn't gotten my prescription. Definitely considering switching pharmacies after having such bad experiences like this. Not to mention it is next to impossible to speak to someone on the phone unless you want to wait literally an hour for them to pick up. read more

Even though I am new to this part of North Tampa (moved from St. Pete), I have been to this Walgreens many times as my fiancee's mother lives just down the road from this intersection. This is the closest drugstore we can go to from he place without getting on any main roads. That is what I like about this place. The staff is so-so. On my last visit the woman joked with me and told me that I could not have the merchandise that I just paid for. If I had interacted with her before, that might have been okay, but I did not recognize her as an employee I dealt with before, so it kind of rubbed me the wrong way. The wait at the pharmacy is usually not to long. It has never been super fast either. The selection and refrigerated section is decent. There is no beer cave. Overall, this Walgreens is pretty average. It is very convenient if you live north (and therefore head south) on Dale Mabry, or if you live down Northdale Blvd and do not want to drive in the mad traffic that often fills up Dale Mabry. read more

Staff is always friendly and professional, I fill my birth control rx with them and have never had an issue. They always acknowledge people in the lines, and do their best to reduce wait times. Even during COVID, they keep everything nice and sanitary, I feel safe filling my prescriptions with them during this time. The staff here are SO great!! Definitely recommend. read more

Oh my, oh my, what can one say about a different Wallgreens? It is a large full service store. I had a return, which I had no problem with, but I had 2 firsts! I bought my first Sun Pass, as I have grown weary of the intermittent letters stating I owe $.25 to $8.50.. I tend to forget about them & really don't want to be stopped for something so trivial. Not that not paying my bills is trivial, this one tends to be just very intermittent & easy to overlook. So I bought the Sunpass & will activate soon. I also learned how to take pictures off my phone, put borders on them, have them printed & take them to the people they are meaningful to. Job well done in my not too spare time, if I say so myself. The 90 year old Birthday girls will appreciate my photos, as much or more than 5he dinner! As far as my achievements & time spent, a good & busy store. They even all Habla English! This review is based solely on their Healthy Clinic. With that said.... TL;DR - ...you're probably better off going to our primary care physician If you're reading this and bleeding out of your butt or feel like you're going to die and wondering if this is the right place to go. It's not. You better go to the ER. I came in last week with something a little less minor than that: a nasty cough and stuffy nose. The entire staff consists of a medical tech and an ARNP which is a trained nurse practitioner who can handle most, if not all, things that a normal family doctor can. Both were very nice and helpful with my insurance situation and quickly started my exam once everything was sorted through. The ARNP was very straight forward with what she could and could not legally prescribe including narcotics so that meant no good cough syrups for me. She was also able, however, to rule out the flu with simple nasal swab test but at the end she was unable to come up with a diagnosis other than "other viral cause" and sent me home with nothing other than some weak cough medicine. Fast forward 1 week and I'm still in bed sick coughing up a lung, OD'ing on every medication I can get my hands on, and writing this review. Would I have gotten better if I'd gone to regular physician? Not sure. Would I go back for any future ailments? Depends. I'm hesitant because of some of the restrictions on the prescribing however you can't pass up the convenience of just walking in and getting some quick medical attention on minor problems instead of trying to get an appointment at your doctor. read more

The pharmacy department is horrendous. Just got out of surgery this afternoon. Dropped off the script for pain meds and they said it would be ready in two hours .... Hoped so cause the morphine from the hospital will be wearing off. The pharmacy just called the house to tell us they did not have enough of the medication to fill the script. Ok ... How about a partial fill and we can get the rest later. No, doing that would result in canceling the balance of the pills I would be owed. REALLY? So now my husband has to go pick up the script and take it somewhere else .... And yes, the morphine is wearing off. Couldn't they have told us that when we first dropped off the prescription?!! This is ridiculous!! Don't use the Walgreens Pharmacy at this location! They are terrible!!! read more
