You can easily and quickly get in and out of this gas station and get right back on the Interstate and keep heading north. My mom lives a couple miles away so I was using this spot to pick up beer and yes they do have a freezing cold beer cave with tons of beer, and seltzers. Gas stations in IL can also sell liquor which is a nice convenience that we don't have down south and I made sure to take advantage of during this visit.

We found this gas station puts a place hold on your card of $200 and says the correct amount will show up in 1 to 5 days. This is unacceptable and, in my opinion, is a path to fraud. We have lived in this area for over 16 years and never have had this happen before; but now that it has happened to us, we researched this a little and found it is perfectly acceptable for these gas stations to charge you a lot more "temporarily" on your credit card even if you only got a few gallons of gas. It may be legal, but it is harmful. I see this as a chance to be fleeced by gas stations. We will NEVER go to this station again; but since it is near an interstate, I am sure they get a lot of people with their "place hold" practice. I wonder how many actually check and see if they actually get the correct amount on their bill - eventually?

They have hired special needs staff to work by themselves on weekend night shifts. That has to be some sort of disability act violation. In the positive side there was a great selection of snacks and refreshments. But...The store was dirty! It was not because the facility is showing its age...the floors were dirty throughout the store and the restrooms. As a guy because I could use the bano and not touch anything. If my wife and daughter had not been dropped off up the road for coffee and tea...well they would not have used the facilities here. The weather was nasty but this is long term neglect. They're usually clean, convenient, and, most importantly, we love their pizza. This location didn't disappoint when it came to the pizza. I was really hoping to get the bacon cheeseburger pizza, but unfortunately, there wasn't any made, so I settled for cheese instead. It was still a great snack and definitely hit the spot. The only downside was the bathroom. There were little pieces of toilet paper scattered all over the floor, so it could have used a little attention. Our total was the best part, though--three slices of pizza and two waters came to just $11.11. The cashier and I looked at each other, and I said, "I feel like we should make a wish!" He laughed and said he was thinking the exact same thing. It was the perfect little road-trip stop to tide everyone over until our next meal. My brain wouldn't work at all. I could barely get up out of a chair, my whole body hurt so bad. Each day was a terrible struggle. I set up an appointment with the pharmacist ' Beaux Cole'. He was considerate and very forthcoming about helping me get well. I took one of their wellness test. The results indicated that my body was in severe depletion of the required balance of vitamins, nutrients, etc. to function normally. I was put on a regiment of homeopathic remedies (vitamins, etc.) that met my personal needs. It's been six months since I took the wellness test and started a very simple wellness program. I cut out all unhealthy foods. Refined sugars, flours, etc. I am so excited to say, that I feel the best I have in 10 years. It is such a wonderful feeling to wake up and be excited about another day and what I can get done now. Life is lovely again.
