As typical of other Love's there's plenty of pumps, gas prices are usually among the lowest one will find along the interstate, employees always greet you and are friendly, the bathrooms are clean, and there's a wide range of snacks, drinks, and automotive accessories. This time I filled my truck up with 14.5 gallons of regular unleaded for $4.74/gal and drove away $68.99 poorer. Oh well, I hope someday (in the near future) we can all look back and say, "I'm glad those days are over!" BTW, premium unleaded was $5.74/gal and diesel was $6.78/gal! I got hot coffee while there and resumed my journey. Overall, a good experience. Consistency is one word I'd use when describing Love's.

After fueling, I pulled my truck away from the fuel island and into the staging area so I could run inside and grab a drink. There were no trucks waiting behind me, several pumps were open, and I was not blocking anyone from fueling. While I was already inside the store, my truck was called out over the PA system and I was told to move it. What made the situation ridiculous was that another driver was still parked at Pump 17, inside buying food and socializing, yet apparently that wasn't a problem. Nobody called his truck over the intercom. When I addressed the issue, a tall female employee wearing an earpiece spoke to me in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner. Instead of treating a paying customer with basic respect, she chose to yell and act confrontational. If there was a concern, it could have been handled professionally. Instead, it felt like I was being singled out for no reason. The problem isn't that I was asked to move my truck. The problem is the blatant double standard and the disrespectful way I was treated. Professional drivers spend a lot of money at Love's and help keep these locations in business. The least we should expect is to be treated with courtesy and consistency. Management needs to take a hard look at how customers are being treated at this location. Based on this experience, I'll think twice before stopping at Store #687 again.

They have hired special needs staff to work by themselves on weekend night shifts. That has to be some sort of disability act violation. Also they once had the best sodas in the city, but they have completely given up and you will be lucky if anything is working. Maybe coke is too scared to restock there? Always out of coke.
