Despite the several bad reviews (3 very likely by the same person who created two fake accounts to review bomb this location) I have always had good luck here. Everything explained well, and reasonably fast service (sometimes you just have to wait in line people, that's life. I thought we all learned that in kindergarten?). Let's face it folks, going to the pharmacy is not one of the fun things in life. I understand that some folks have probably had bad experiences, but your own attitude goes a long way to making experiences better. Anyway, there are definitely worse pharmacies in the Spokane area and these folks have always been good to me. And they are open 24 hours again so great for people who work long or weird hours. Went to the Doctor on Friday early pm. They sent a Rx to this Walgreens (Sprague & Pines). I received a text which said the Rx was delayed. I checked back on Sunday AM and the text said it was ready. I drove over there and it was NOT ready. The Asst said "well we don't get shipments over the weekend" Like I was supposed to know this?? Anyway the price of gas is too expensive to make unnecessary trips. Do better Walgreens! read more

I'm so angry with the pharmacy right now, we have to change to another one. My father has approximately 8 prescriptions that I pick up for him every month. He's in a lot of pain with Spinal Stenosis, Arthritis on the Spine, and 3 herniated discs, so it is quite difficult for him to run errands or do much of anything. Today was the fourth time I've gone to Walgreens to pick up his pain meds and other prescriptions, and they were not ready yet again despite a phone call saying they were. Yesterday (4/7/25) he was told the prescription was ready. I went to the counter today (4/8/25) around 11:50am, and I was told that his prescription was NOT ready because the supply had run out and was supposed to to be re-stocked between 8:30am-9:00am that morning. They took my phone number to call or text me when it was ready. Now this has happened before, so I left and drove home and waited. After nearly 4 and 1/2 hours, there was no call and no text, so I drove back to Walgreens and asked for his prescription again. This time I was told they had the medication but I needed to wait at least 30 minutes for it to be filled. I waited in the pharmacy for 30 minutes, and I got a text that it was ready. I watched and saw them take it out of the bin. They had not put anything in that bin while I waited -- I watched! The prescription had been in that bin the entire time, nobody checked it. They went with what the computer screen told them, I guess. I'm so mad about them wasting my time. As I said, this is the 4th time this has happened! I purchased the prescription and went to my car. I looked at the prescription and there it was: Filled on 4/7/25 on Monday at 6:49pm! They had it the entire time. As always, I was lied to again by them. Pharmacist and clerical gal on duty the evening of April 18, 2026 were computer challenged. Pharmacist was arrogant, rude, and voiced his displeasure of working late hours. Wasted almost 2 hours and they could not figure out how to bill insurance and never filled prescription from the hospital. Left and my wife suffered overnight due to pain. I have been coming to this pharmacy on Pines and Sprague for a while but may switch to CVS across the street after last night. My dentist called in my script at 4:50 pm. I called the pharmacy at 6:30 and was on hold for 25 minutes. I went there at 7 pm and waited in line. The line quickly grew to 6 people and the blonde female with glasses asked the female (?) with maybe a dozen face piercings and black hair over her eyes that was working the drivethru to help. With an exasperated expression she shuffled to the counter and stared at the people in the line. Being next in line I looked at her waiting to call me over. "Yeah. You. Come here." Excuse me? No, How can I help you, sir? No, Welcome to Walgreens. Thank you for your patience? Naturally I replied I would wait for the blonde and "I don't need your attitude." The blonde said my order was not ready and could I wait 15 minutes? I said I would not as I have been waiting 90 minutes plus 25 on hold. I gave her my Veterans Admin ID and asked if they could bill my meds to the VA. She said they were not contracted with the VA. I said, You know that is wrong, right? I have been getting shots and vaccines here for two years and it has always been billed to VA. "Well, I have been working here for literally three years." Have you ever tried? "No" then turned to a White male, "Bob, are we contracted with the VA?" He said no. How is it one day they are but that night they are not? After leaving the not so friendly people at the pharmacy I had to buy something at the front counter. No one could be found there to help me. After several minutes someone finally showed up. No sorry for the wait. No friendly smiles. Nothing. With a CVS right across the street, the choice to not use this place again is rather clear. But I doubt they care. read more

Horrible service at this location. I spent my entire lunch hour in line to pick up my prescription. Had to leave without it so I could get back to work. I was lucky I didn't try to go through the drive through. I would have been stuck in line with no way out. The pharmacists are always rude here also. Walgreens Great store but the pharmacy these days is NOT 24 hours and to get a prescription filled takes a lot longer than any prescription should take to fill They have told me It will be ready in 1 hour and I get there drive thru drive thru and Of course Not ready they say come back in an 90 minutes and to get refills I have these calls that call me saying its ready for pick up and I go to call and make sure it is actually ready I sit on hold 40 minutes and then call back because it just hangs up after waiting that long and another 35 minutes on hold before I just got sick of waiting because I have issues and need to tell them someone else will be picking it up for me But I can't so basically anyone can go grab my meds?? What if my meds were meds you don't want just anyone getting a hold of?? They used to be an okay pharmacy but I think they could use more help or something ?? Pharmacy never answers phone. Automated system told me there was only one customer ahead of me, so waited on hold for 15 minutes. I was then hung up on, called back, waited on hold for 28 minutes, then was hung up on, again. Frustrating. read more

This location is straight up crooked.. I had a prescription for Amoxicillin to be filled here for a life threatening major infection I have had for over a full month. I came here from over 200 miles away, only planning to have spent a night in the city, when after my appointment earlier in the day, came here (where they specified for me to go) later that night, only to be looked at like a drug addicted feign simply trying to get antibiotics. They told me I did not exist in their records whatsoever as a patient even.. So day two, I go back to where I had my prescription written, told them, and they resent it here. I go there again... This time they told me I did in fact exist as a previous patient in their system, but I would again have to wait all day long another day for it. So I did. I came back and they had my prescription, for once again, a non narcotic antibiotic, Amoxicillin, all bagged up and ready, only to tell me that "there is no legal way we can give this to you, with or without cash, with the insurance" that I DO have, nor the money I had just in case. They then said I'd have to have it sent the next day to Rite Aid... Mind you this is now day 3 out of town from where I live! Now it is day 4 and I have traveled an additional 280 miles elsewhere and I still don't have my antibiotics. Murderers is too nice of a term for these demons. Be warned ~ read more

Tried to call in a prescription this morning. Was on hold for 50 minutes. Finally the automated operator says " there is one caller ahead of you" so I think I finally made it. But no, the line went dead and hung up. So glad I was doing house chores and didn't completely waste that time. Unbelievably poor customer service. At least it could've routed me to a voicemail where the staff might have had access to and called back. I get being understaffed but 50 minutes and then being disconnected is just too much. I want to support my local business but if I can't get through, how can I do that...? read more

I scheduled an appointment at this Walgreens for a Covid and Flu shots. There is a sign up on one side of the counter that says Covid-19 vaccine check in. So I went over to that counter, yes there was a line, but I just wanted to ask where to go. The pharmacist, Phil, said "Did you really just cut in front of all those people?" I tried to explain why and he just said to go to the end of the line. He was really rude and embarrassed the hell out of me. He was a total jerk and I will never shop here again. read more

Pharmacy has a leadership problem. The line was 6 + deep yet the employees responsible for helping those waiting customers was chatting in the back with other employees about work schedules. The other 5 employees were all busy at computers working away. Then drive through emptied yet the person handling that walked back into the rear chatting about the last customer he helped. The whole line of people began talking about the lack of empathy for all of us waiting. Filled out all forms online and had to do it over and hold the line up even more. Told they didn't take my insurance but there was nowhere online insurance was even metioned(Rite-Aid does, which is where I will go now). Settled for 4th Covid shot but asked about website lack of the injector sent and was told it was a national website and she only worked there. Told her I asked because she must know more than I might. Rolled up my sleeve, took a deep breath and said fantastic. Lady flipped and told me to leave, she wasn't going to inject me, and told me never to come back. Said "bye c#@!" and walked out, never to return again. This location gave me incorrect doses on 2 of 3 prescriptions despite me providing the correct dosage information. When I called in to let them know the lady kept cutting me off and told me that it was between me and my doctor. It may be possible my doctor's office sent in old info. However, since I provided the correct info, they should have corrected the mistake. I will only use this location again as a back-up. read more

Pharmacy employees in Spokane Valley have completely lost their sence of humanity... They will laugh at your struggle. If have any other options save yourself the headache and don't go to Walgreens... Honestly you would be helping the staff Covid completely ruined this store they're so understaffed. The employee I encountered on the phone had the audacity to yell at me telling me her problems... That's not how customer service works. You don't yell at a customer on the phone. Period. That was my last straw. Only one of my prescriptions costs 1000$ I took my 9 plus prescriptions somewhere else. Good riddance for them and me. I was feeling under the weather with a horrible sore throat. Since I had been exposed to strep, I was worried that I may have it. So, sitting at home sick thinking about calling my doctor and dreading the wait time for a non-scheduled visit and having to wait with a bunch of other sickies- my coworker suggested I try Providence Express Care at Walgreens. She had taken her son in to the one on the north side and found it quick and easy. I found the Walgreens on Pines had the same service, so I called for an appointment. They actually had no appointments on that date- so I had my pick of times. I arrived a couple of minutes early and was shown directly into an exam room. They took my info- which was super fast (5min?) and took payment for the visit- my normal office visit copay. They swabbed for strep and popped it into a machine for testing. She stepped out and the PA came in shortly after. The doors had keypad locks on the outside- to be sure that no one just walked in. She did a few more checks and go the result- no strep. Just a viral head cold. She gave me some info on self-care on sore throats to take home. It couldn't have been easier or more efficient and had I needed a prescription- I could have gotten it at the same place! This service was awesome- quick, easy, appointment times available. For something minor- I recommend Providence Express Care. read more
