This pertains to Pharmacy staff minus two gentlemen, one named Clay and the other person is new and I did not catch his name. The rest are very rude. I was told I would have to wait for the 30 days to fill a script. No prob. This is STANDARD for certain meds. Come the 30 days, and they refuse saying it's "too early". I called my insurance. They agreed: it was indeed 30 days (7-13 to 8-11). Start by counting day 7-13 as one, plus the 31 days in July and the remaining days to 8/11, and this equates to 8/11 being the 30th day. It's not even a heavy script, but it's enough for DEA to reign with their all-knowing-two-cents (and that's all it is). Outcome: denied all day. They had me calling my doc, whose staff agreed BTW on the 30 day issue. Yet somehow, when the Doc called the WalG, the stuck-up-always-right-could-only-be-a-junky-patient-as-per-the-DEA-who-taught-me-PHARMACIST, convinced the Doc I was early. So, Doc says "NO" and that effectively ends 7 hours of debate. Clayton conceded that it was indeed 30 days and there never should have been a problem. I don't fault HIM. The conceited rest...rot in you-know-where. I wish a lifetime of chronic pain on you so that you may finally walk a mile in my shoes. I take that back. I wouldn't wish my pain on my worst enemy.
I have a broken back with six fractured verts from T3-T8. Ever hear your back crack from a sneeze or cough? How about excruciating pain from the above mentioned random affliction that has the potential to further break bones? 120 10/325's aren't crap as far as dulling medication. This farce of ALL patients "manipulating" the system to get high or redistribute meds illegally is reprehensible. I FOLLOW THE RULES. I pee test each month. I maintain full documentation of my condition(s), utilize a single pharmacy for a year straight, and no doctor shopping-EVER. I hate being treated like a pill seeker. I am no such thing. I have taken more in the past and gotten myself off without rehab. My IQ is high enough to understand the consequences and if my pain level warrants it, then yes, I would prefer to regulate myself. The DEA is a sham and this WalG has swallowed the proverbial Kool-Aid. If you insist on patronizing this establishment, please ask for Clayton, as long as you are on the level. He is an ethical person and I hold that in the HIGHEST regards. I apologize to the other staff, who routinely abandons their assigned duties to assist the pharmacy during peak times. I do not mean to group you in with the core Pharm staff.
Wait times and what not...this is Show Low. It's a one-horse town. I can live with this, my personal situation for a day- I shouldn't have to though. Shame on you so called "educated" pharmacists. Hey guess what? I am "educated" too. 3.99 GPA: 130+ credits. Critical thinking? Me: Check. You: Not so much. Can count days on a calendar? Me: Check. You: Didn't even have one available, and hung up on me when I asked politely to review the dates and count along with me (Sesame Street ring a bell?). Oh, and thanks for the addition hang-ups and routing to endless ringing phones, then hanging up when I wouldn't give up. Criticality regarding making right decisions? Me: Airplane Mechanic for 18+ years. Yeah. That's right. I make a single mistake- potentially hundreds of lives at risk. Never mind should the unfortunate occur that I would face the possibility of individual counts of manslaughter charges as well as negligence based on the number of occupants deceased or injured, which equals hefty incarceration (as if I even needed to mention). For the flying public who are concerned: I no longer practice as my physical condition prevents full performance.
