This is my favourite of the Walgreen's in the area and it's not far from my home which makes it even better. Yay. The staff here are really friendly and helpful. Whenever I go through the checkout with an item they currently have coupons for (but don't know about) the nice ladies on the till will then go and scan one in for me. Now that's good customer service! I pick up all of my prescriptions here too and it is always ready super quick. Oh.. and to whoever keep's buying all of the Peanut Butter Snickers leaving none for me... stop it... please? Hehe. I need my peanut Chocolate fix too. read more

This pharmacy should be avoided at all cost. Your life may depend on it. The pharmacy sends you a text message if there are delays, and text messages when your prescription is ready. Two days ago I got a message that my prescription was delayed. That's fine, I planned two days ahead for this. Today I get a message that it's ready for pickup. I get there, and there's a long line. After waiting 20 minutes, I find out that only half my prescription is ready. Now I am out of medication. This was my last time ever going here. Previously, I have had to wait 45 minutes for a pharmacist consultation on a refill. This is an inane waste of my time. There are no laws requiring a consult on a refill. There were 5 other people sitting there waiting for the pharmacist. Where was he? No f'ing clue, but sure as hell wasn't working. read more

The staff here are clueless. I went in twice to take passport pictures, they told me that the machine was down and to go to Millbrae, I went to Millbrae, they told me they have to charge the machine for 1 hour and referred me to another Walgreen on ECR; I called them, the person on the phone said that passport pictures machine was down at all Walgreens. They advertise selling Fast Track; I went here 3 times for Fast Track and each time the associate at the counter told me 3 different stories. To call this place a glorified warehouse almost feels generous. I refer to it as "The Pit". Walgreens Corporate must be using this location as a beta testing ground to see how few staff they can run a store with. I would not be surprised to find that the cashier, the manager, the photo developer, and the guy stocking milk are all the same person. True, they regularly run out essential items, and dairy refrigerators break and go un-repaired for at least days or, in the latest event, weeks. Customer service is often dispensed with the charm of one freshly lobotomized. But it is the checkout line that is the stuff of local legend. It takes one bad customer to start a traffic jam, like a single driver who blocks an intersection due to impatience or stupidity. Without fail, the single checker behind the counter will not only accommodate these shoppers with blinders who futz with coupons or try six different phone numbers in an attempt to save a dime; but will encourage this bad behavior (i.e. "Well, did you see the special on aisle 9? You can get X more for the price of Y. Would you like to go get it?"). At the same time, they refuse to call for extra help (at this location, I suspect the Walgreen's code "I see three" stands for "I see three dozen") as the masses roll their eyes, stamp their feet, look at their watches, and scan around as if waiting for a camera crew to jump out and declare this fiasco a prank. I consider myself a fairly patient person, but I have dropped my items and walked out in a bewildered huff more than once, happy to drive all the way and pay the price hikes at Mollie Stone's in exchange for sensitivity and situational awareness. Being the corporate monster it is, don't expect Walgreen's to improve anything here soon. They have absolutely no incentive to. I've frequented several Walgreens locations for 15 years and counting, and this one is THE WORST. The customer service is nonexistent. I was returning from a hospital visit at UCSF and needed to fill a prescription. It was printed on very specific UCSF paper, from a clinic that should indicate the validity of my situation to anyone with two brain cells to rub together, and in the same hand I also held very obvious discharge paperwork. After being made to wait about 20 minutes in line while the pharmacists chatted amongst themselves, I was told they would not serve me. I provided my ID, insurance card, prescription and phone number to pull up my Walgreens account. The pharmacist did not pull up my account OR pretend to verify the prescription. He glanced up and down at me, rolled his eyes, and immediately jumped into a string of accusatory questions... before loudly telling me I'd need to go elsewhere since he "did not recognize me." Well I read the previous reviews, and I visited Walgreens today with my family...the staff was very courteous and helpful while I was trying to decide what kind of snack was healthier for my daughter, and also the cashier (curly hair guy,who also speaks Spanish) deserves a special mention, he was VERY patient helping an old lady to complete checkout,not a bad face, or pressure, always with respect. Poor Walgreens. It's a shadow of what it once was in the 1970's. Walgreens is just hanging on. Only the pharmacy is profitable because of the never ending seniors needing prescriptions medicine to stay alive. Empty shelves. Cardboard boxes blocking the aisles. Sad looking employees. Not convenient enough to go out of the way for but if you're having lunch in the surrounding area, it's a smallish Walgreen's that you can get some of your convenience shopping done up. the 1 cashier working is a bit on the slow side but survivable. read more

Don't schedule any kind of vaccine here. I was the only person waiting for a vaccine and they made me wait one hour past my appointment time. There was only one person working there at 4pm until 5pm when finally a second person came back from "lunch". Also there were tons of mosquitoes flying around the waiting area. read more

This place is great if not in hurry. They seem to have everything you need at any hour of the night or day before midnight. I've gotten a few prescriptions filled here and they have been right on time for the late night need of Children's Tylenol. Overall I rate this one fair to good. read more

Terrible service. I called to see whether they have the at home Covid tests. I was told yes that they would have a shipment on Tuesday and that it would be ready by 1pm. I called back on Tuesday, took the day off based off of what they said, but they told me that they didn't have any. They gave me no explanation and seemed like they were laughing at me like it was ridiculous that I wanted some kind of explanation. It was my mistake for not taking down the names of the two prior agents that flat out lied but lesson learned don't deal with this Walgreens unless you want to be mocked and then dismissed. read more

My sister had a baby and insisted that before we visit we get Tdap and flu shots. She also knew that we could get these through Walgreens for free as they'd be covered by our insurance. No problem, right? Went online to make two appointments for these four needed shots. Made my appt then tried for 40 minutes to make my husbands. No such luck. Called and they couldn't help either saying the system was glitchy. Went after work to the pharmacy in the back and stood in line for 15 minutes before being helped...then waited another 45 minutes before they gave us shots which took another 20 minutes. The nurse there did a nice job providing the immunizations and paperwork, no faults on her part. The pharmacist however was running around flinging prescriptions across the back room, many of which ended up on the floor. There was no sense of urgency. When it was all said and done it took 1 hour 40 minutes to administer 2 shots for each of us. Incredibly irritated and all at the whimsy of the pharmacy. Would never go back! Due to how long it took they apologized (will never get my time back) and gave us vitamin coupons. read more

The pharmacy at this Walgreens is terrible. If you cone here You're guaranteed to receive aweful service and wait hours for your medication. Today There was literally no customers at the pharmacy, yet I was told my perscription was going to take 2 hours to be fulfilled. I was only prescribed 12 pills, and expressed to the attendant that I had just left the emergency room and needed those pills. She told me that they were very busy and that it was going to take 2 hours or longer. I went to the CVS up the street and was provided with medication in under 15 minutes, and they were very busy. Unfortunately, that was not the first bad experience I've had at this pharmacy. Less than a week ago my girlfriend and I had a really bad encounter with another employee at the pharmacy. My intention was to put that employees name on here and just absolutely blast him, but after my experience today I came to the conclusion that its not fair to single out one person when its clear its a department problem. This review is mostly for the pharmacy. There is always only one person working here and every time I come, there seems to be some kind of issue. If everyone would just call ahead regarding prescription details and/or wait times for the prescription, it would save the pharmacy staff a lot of extra time AND diminish the size of the line that I always have to wait in.. mind you I pay ahead and download an "express pass" which now has apparently been removed from the pharmacy front desk. Therefore, those who actually have prescriptions ready and paid for, still must wait in 30-40 min long lines, for something that could take 2 mins. read more

I like Walgreens. I once had to call each store to find a location which had a specific product. Each store clerk was nice. The third store clerk called three other stores for me. I was happy with that additional help and will definitely shop at Walgreens again and again. I like the products and the selection of seasonal items. The Last Chance items are awesome when I am able to find a few items left. Most of the time the Last Chance items are sold out. read more

This review reflects on Ness (the "manager", said by her). I went in tonight to drop off a package to the FedEx kiosk thinking it would be a quick transaction as it always has been for the past months but unfortunately, tonight was different. Ness, the manager, looked at my package and said "we don't accept USPS". I tried to explain to her that it is a FedEx package, FedEx Smartpost (refer to my photo) specifically, meaning they can scan it, ask for my email for receipt, and be done with it because this Walgreens is an authorized ship center. I asked her to at least try to scan it so she can see that the scanner will recognize the barcode. Ness insisted that they don't take it even with my explanation because she was focused on seeing the word USPS... I was just gonna leave until she said she will text to ask her "manager". She walked back to the room with another employee and said to him that I act like I know better than her in TAGALOG (Filipino language). I was staggered! 1st: How embarrassing for her that the customer understood her smack talking. Very unprofessional and just rude. It's your job to find out what you're not sure about - especially if shipping FedEx Smartpost here has always been good in the past with other managers. It doesn't mean the customer knows better than you. Nobody was proving nor telling you someone else knows better than you, the manager. 2nd: The manager should be trained to know the services this store "provides". Dropping off packages has always been easy with this store with other employees - I liked coming here in the past. When she walked back out, I had to talk to her in Tagalog and tell her that there's no need for her to talk behind someone's back to insult people whom she think is wrong. Instead of apologizing, she said "I came off as strong" that's why. I felt embarrassed for this lady. A customer just wanted you to try, no one forced you and it is not a customer's fault that you are not aware of a service your store offers. I hope the management sees this and point out these issues. Remind those "manager" in place to treat customers with respect, even when they think customers are wrong. Also, re-train them about the add-on services your store provides. Most customers can be understanding if they see that employees try. I hope this never happens again to another customer. I am sure she can also provide a great customer service (I saw it in her before she talked smack), but give it to everyone even when you "think" they're wrong and even when you insist you're right. Managers can be wrong too. Don't power trip. Peace out. read more

I love this place, I've been comin' here since I was a kid. This place is our neighborhood drug store, my family always comes to buy the oddest commodity ranging from basketballs to mixed almonds and nuts. The coupon rack is awesome, and the service is fantastic. Yeah, sometimes they don't have what you want but hey, it's a small and convenient store. Gotta appreciate what you have. Sometimes the homier, and comfortable store beats out those mega-mart-type shops. What really gets me on this 5-star rating, however, is the front cashier lady. She's always greeting me with a smile and courteously. Whenever I buy something, she takes her time to look through the coupon magazine to see if I missed out on any deals. I love the service here, and the prices so 5-stars :) read more

Only a few cashiers, but the staff seem fairly organized and helpful. I asked the cashier if my friend and I could do separate transactions but reuse the same coupon so we don't waste too much paper and she was fine with it. Gotta go green, right??? A small section for Asian foods with Aloe drinks and Asian snacks. This Walgreens seem to carry more inventory than other Walgreens but it could be an illusion from the layout: 3 rows of aisles. This Walgreens is a little smaller/more cramped than many newer/updated ones. The parking lot is often crowded, but I have never not found a spot. On multiple occasions, the person who is supposed to be ringing people up is either helping someone at the photo counter or simply nowhere to be found. This is not my drugstore of choice, but if you need something simple you can probably find it here. read more

The cashier (nice lady only works Thursday's) was one of best cashiers I've seen and I work for a competitor so I know what to look for. Super friendly and smiley, greeted as we entered, apologized for the line, and had a good conversation. A plus for the front store. The pharmacy however is a different story. We dropped off 2 prescriptions and told them we will be waiting. When this happens they are supposed to expedite it since the customers will be waiting. Should only take 20-25 min at the most. He told us to come back in an hour. No concern that we've been at the hospital all day and had already been waiting while my boyfriend has sciatica (severe back and leg pain). read more

So bad... these staff they don't know what they're selling. After 15 minutes of waiting, 3 of them came back and telling me that I don't need to show my receipt. I was just asking for help. The lady at the register told me she cant leave the register. She just stared at me as i asked if someone could help me. I was the only customer in the store. So i proceeded to the laundry soap section and i heard the girl calling on the intercom that someone needs help. So a guy showed up after 5 mins. I inquired if its the same soap i wanted to buy, showing him my 'raincheck.' He stared at me more then said, "ill get back to you." I don't want to wait for another 15 mins so i just went to line, another register. When i had already paid, someone came over to me and asked if what she was holding is the same thing that i wanted. This place is a total S**thole! It took 30 min for one of the three people who ""work" at the store to find my ship to store package. What? How can it take that long to find a bottle of lotion? This was supposed to be fast and convenient--NOT! I told the employee it's a small package and he keeps looking at huge boxes. That should have been my 1st clue I was in for a good stay. I should have helped my self to a bottle of wine while I waited. The line behind me grew and grew and no one bothered to come help. Then he wants to see the tracking number and reaches for my cell...keep your dirty mitts off my property. Would you reach in my wallet for my credit card? If you drop and break my cell is Walgreens going to pay for it? He finally calls another "worker" who tells me I must have shipped it to another store. Not--I know how to read and order stuff to my local S**thole Walgreens. Then surprise person #2 tells #1 that ship to store items are in the BIG cabinet, bottom shelf he's been looking in for 30 minuets. Low and behold a small box appeared with my name on it. Instead of just giving it to me he look at his register punches a few keys, stands there looking confused and finally says I can take my package. The 30 minutes of my life wasted bc a "worker" does not even know their job and then to be told I sent it to the wrong store. I never got an apology. I can never get my time back. It would have been better to spend the $6 to have it sent to my place instead of going to that joke of a store. I have spoken to the manager before this situation about other incompetent "workers" but nothing seems to change. I've even called Walgreens home office--nothing. Hire people--that's an idea. Maybe this is a testing facility to see how high they can get your blood pressure to rise without having a stroke in the store?
