This walgreens is terrible for it's primary function, the pharmacy. I swear everytime I go to pick up a prescription (that texts me it's ready) they say they are out of the medicine and come back in a couple days or ask me to wait an hour as they fill it up for me. The worst case was when I was in the drive thru for 30 minutes. No intercom response and they were all chatting it up as I see them through the window. Then they go ahead and help everyone in the second window. So I had to go around to that window and I asked them how come they didn't help both windows and they said that it was easier to do one window even though there were four people at the main one. Not only were the employees rude but every time someone would give me a different excuse for not having my prescription. So I would never get my prescription which left me being sick for days. This rating of for the pharmacy only. This has to be THE WORST Walgreens Pharmacy in the city. You would think for a pharmacy that stays open 24 hrs that the drive thru would be open. You would think that they'd have more than one pharmacist and one tech working at least until midnight for no other reason that people will likely drive from other parts of the city to a 24 hour pharmacy. You would think if you call hours ahead to ensure you don't have to wait hours when you arrive, that the meds would be ready. They don't appear to have a real system for how to handle people who have decided to wait and those still coming in. I don't blame the employees, this company just needs to do better. Until I moved to this city, I've never heard of a 24 hr Walgreens closing on a random day. Either pay your pharmacists better so they will come to work or stop burning them out. read more

What a dysfunctional place! Today was the day my patience finally came to an end. It's an ongoing issue. Why is corporate not stepping in? Don't they have quotas to meet? Tuesday 01/06/26, 3.05pm. I'm #5 in the drive through pickup lane. We didn't move a single car for 20 minutes. Tons of cars pulling out of the line behind me, because the first car at the window didn't get their things straightened out. Instead of asking the customer to pull out of line, and take care of things, every one else had to wait. I decide to go inside for pick up. I'm again #5. I see the outside car still there, now making it 35 minutes. I'm in line for another 25 minutes. 2 customers picking up quickly, 2 taking forever. The line gets longer and longer inside and out. 7 people behind the counter, only 2 employees serving customers. You would expect some workers to start moving a little faster pace and trying to catch up. Uh, nope! Everyone is keeping it calm and cool as if on valium. No apology, no one attempts to open another register, no one is interested in finding out what the issue is with the first car still sitting there. It's finally my turn. I should be fast, so I thought. Girl starts digging for my prescription in a variety of bins in a variety of places all over the backroom, while checking the computer back and forth. I feel anxiety coming on, knowing a dozent eyes are piercing my back for taking so long. I do not have anxiety. I'm not there for a drug fix either. Just basics. Now I'm self diagnosing anxiety, just by watching everyone working. Or not. Depending on how you look at it. I'm in awe, in such a developed country, that things seem to get more dysfunctional by the day. Maybe some less tattoos and less nose-rings, and rather employees chosen via job qualifications. Look at Europe where medications get dispensed like food at the movie theaters, in windows requiring a pin. Get your medications in 20 seconds, pulled and delivered by a conveyor belt. No need for slow workers. I'm all for not replacing jobs by machines, but getting medications at Walgreens seems to be in need of just that. After 1 hour for a ready to pick up medication, it is 4.15pm and I find myself digging in the fridge for strong alcohol and a different pharmacy going forward. Ridiculous! read more

I was picking up my prescription and there always so rude everytime but today was like just annoying I just got out the hospital and I went there to go get my prescription and they texted saying yes to make it that was 30 min before I left and then when I got there there was a very long line so I waited like 30+ min before I got to the window and when I got there the lady was rude she said they are still working on it and it's going to take another 30 min I said okay and I was still talking trying to tell her I had a discount card and was wondering if they took it but she interrupted me as I was talking so I was like wow then I called and waited forever and when someone finally answered they hung up on me I was already waiting 15 min so I called again and now I'm still waiting 15 min with one caller ahead of me!!!! read more

The pharmacist is extremely unhelpful. His decision to be unhelpful directly resulted in my spouse having a grand mal seizure in the car after leaving the pharmacy. We went for an emergency refill per The Occupations Code Title 3 Sec. 562.054. It basically says It is up to the sole discretion of the pharmacist to decide whether they want to help with a 3 day emergency refill. As I read it to him, he remarked rudely, "it's up to me". When I begged him for help, showed him the empty prescription bottle, told him it had been done before, and told him that my spouse would have a seizure if he didn't get it. He basically shrugged his shoulders and told me to go to an Urgent Care. the pharmacist disgustingly chose a power trip than to legitimately help someone. He had it in HIS power to help and instead turned his back on a patient. His failure to refill the prescription resulted in a patient suffering. It's grotesque. How can this man even qualify as a pharmacist with so much lack of basic human decency. Walgreens needs to do better. read more

I'm not sure how they have a 2.5 star rating. This particular location is just the most unprofessional and unorganized Walgreens I have ever used. I moved from Austin and had such a great store, so I thought I would just transfer to this one. Not knowing the areas around SA, this location wasn't close, but it wasn't far either. I pretty much just use the pharmacy and it is a joke. Sometimes I get a text saying my script is ready....I get there and oops.....it's not only NOT ready, but is coming from Dallas. When it is ready, the tech can not locate it. I had an appointment at 5:45pm for a flu vaccine. The tech said it would be about 5 mins. Easy. right? Well at 6:10 I tried to get someone's attention to let them know that I was leaving. No one would even acknowledge me. I finally stuck my head in the consultation window and the pharmacist noticed me. Bye! read more

I used to like this pharmacy. They had the medicine in stock, and refills were fast. Now they refuse to fill online scripts because one pharmacist doesn't want to. It's 2024 and more and more providers are online because it is so hard to get into doctors for anything anymore in a timely manner. One of the most trusted places we go to pick up our prescriptions and other medical needs is here at Walgreens. Met the rudest cashier lady. I think her name was Evelin or something. First, She asks me if I would like to donate for the red nose charity. To that I said yes. But as I'm near the check out I put in my card and it kept saying declined. Then she started getting fussy with me and my dad about me doing it wrong. I might of forgotten my pin so that might have been my fault. But this lady did not make it any better. She didn't even show me how to do it properly. Very Rude and unhelpful. Really terrible service from the pharmacy lady because she's to in a hurry to leave. There is currently an emergency in my home where I really need this medication and there is a long line (I am typing this while I wait because I have no choice), anyways the lady was very rude to me she obviously could've helped me I told her it was an emergency but she didn't care as someone who works in the medicine field I would've thought she would have cared but I was wrong and very angry. Her name was Karen by the way she works in the pharmacy area, I asked someone who worked there about her and she told me that Karen is required to take a 30 minute break at 1:30am to 2:00am so she could've finished her prescriptions afterwards but she couldn't because of laziness. I was so upset from a lengthy wait and terrible service at another pharmacy. It was late & my kid needed meds - arrived in the middle of the night. And unlike the other place the staff here was friendly, helpful and extremely efficient. If you're looking for that 24/7 pharmacy to fill a script quick - this is it. So extremely grateful. This review is for photo and pharmacy. While I usually use the photo online and pick up in store option, this particular Walgreens still falls completely flat on it's face with photo services. I ordered a calendar, which I would recommend to anyone because you can customize them online, but the printing was terrible. I have ordered calendars before but from now on I will be getting them from the online store and choosing to ship it to myself. The pharmacy and I have a love hate relationship. Honestly, I would say it's about a 50/50 shot of getting through here in less than 15 minutes. They either have what I need all nice and ready or I get a quote to wait 10 minutes while they "look and see if they misplaced it". Which inevitably ends up being 25 minutes and I sit there staring at them help all these other people and get to mine when they feel like it. It's is NOT that hard to put birth control packets in a bag and staple it shut. All in all the staff are mostly friendly but as far as service goes, I would avoid it. The wife and I go for a COVID and flu test yesterday. We spend 30 minutes waiting in the drive through for our scheduled tests. The tech gave us our tests and told us we would have our results in an hour. An hour later all we had was our COVID results, but no flu results. I called and asked why no results came up if we were scheduled for both tests. The pharmacist tells us that we had to have a negative COVID test before we could test for the flu. She said if we came in the next day (today) she would make sure we got our flu tests completed. She also told us we would need to go inside the building to get them. So, today we go in and after waiting in the line for 35 minutes feeling like we were going to pass out from being sick, we were told by the same pharmacist that we can only get it Monday because the employee that does them does not work Saturdays, and when we do come for it, we would need to use the drive through. I already felt like I was being lied to when this pharmacist told us we had to wait for the flu test until we had negative COVID results, and not that they forgot to do it. Then to tell us to come back the next day and wait in line inside just to change your story again? You my friend are an idiot! I will never fill my prescriptions at Walgreens again. I'm also going to do everything I can to make sure every management position over you knows what you did to us. Nobody should have to go through that when they are as sick as we are. Get your lies straight. Admit when you screw up. I can respect an honest mistake. I can't respect a liar who doesn't care about their customers. read more

I'd really like to give this Walgreens 3.5 stars. The quality of service of the pharmacy department varies a lot. At times, my family's prescriptions are ready with no issues but more often than not, they are partially ready and I don't receive a phone call even though I'm signed up to receive them when a problem arises. I also am supposed to get texts when they're ready and sometimes I get texts that I have prescriptions ready for no reason, when I'm not expecting any prescriptions. Now I know to always call regardless of whether I get a text or not. Like I said, at times, they're dead wrong. The lines are extremely long at times. However, I give this Walgreens three (point five) stars because it's 24 hours and they have been pretty accomodating when they've run out of a prescription. They'll call other Walgreens to find the prescriptions, fax doctors if your prescription is expired, and so forth. The rest of the store is fine. The front registers are speedy and associates are friendly. The photo department associates are extremely helpful with folks who have trouble scanning pictures or who want to make prints from media cards. Bathrooms are usually clean, but you do need an associate to let you in. read more

Firstly, the line was ridiculous and the technicians seemed more interested in texting and talking to one another than helping the customers. I waited for a while in line, at the counter, and then was told to have a seat; 10 minutes later the pharmacist proceeds to tell me she cannot give me a vaccine because she had not been trained yet and I'd need to come back TWO days later when a trained employee would be on-site. Uhhhh... A pharmacist that has "not been trained" (her words) does not make me have confidence in this location. She's allowed to distribute medicine!?!? I'm a little wary, to say the least, to return when she is on duty. I must say, however, that DAN the pharmacist deserves 5 stars for his amazing customer service, patience, and efficiency. Pharmacy staff is overall good - the techs are not near as friendly as the actual pharmacists! the text messaging system and emails always notify me on time. Technically they are VERY VERY stingy on getting your prescriptions early. Law states 3 days early on controlled and they won't ever do sooner than 2 days and if you get them early a month in a row they refuse to. The store is always clean...and the staff at the front always friendly. The one at 35 isn't near as good. read more
