Since it was in the 90s to100s Temps we had to get water at least 2 times. This place is not nearby our hotel but it was worth the walk but if you're out was at night, better to take a cab or Lyft when you buy those big sizes of water. Actually, even though they couldn't help us with my husband's script, it wasn't for lack of trying. They did check its status to see if they could help us. Our usual Walgreens was closed on Memorial Day and this W. Commerce location is a 24-hour place. They then explained why they couldn't fill the script, but were very nice about it. Tonight at approximately 1am It was kinda busy but not to much .. one cashier like always , it was my turn to pay . They don't give recipes anymore so I usually put in my # to receive points for The Walgreens app which is RIDICULOUS.. anyways so with that being said .. I had a $10 credit on my points but. I was getting snacks so I denied it and told the cashier lemme go get something else to use the credit .. she said ohk , There was a line so I didn't wanna be rude , she was like oh we don't have "points" so I'm like how WALGREENS REWARDS is for the points I've gotten credits before .. So I asked for thee manager , he comes and still can't reprint my receipt or even tell me if I used my $10 credit from the Walgreens rewards . We just had the most wonderful experience this morning with Hannah at the San Antonio Walgreens located on Broadway @ Basse. We need passport photos retaken. Not only did she take six additional photos for us but talked with her manager and did not charge us for the new photos. She was friendly, kind and so patient with. She is a "keeper". Meh, I only come here for the 24 hr pharmacy service if I have to get medicine on a Sunday. In this case my son needed some prescribed medicines on hand already so they delivered. Only problem is that there drive thru windows are very slow. So ppl just get off and go inside the store because it is much faster. Place is always clean, store is never a mess. Every time,Without fail, If I need a last minute anything, I'm pretty certain Walgreens has it ! My last trip there I was on my way to a client appreciation event that I was throwing for my real estate business clients whom had close on their houses or condos for the quarter. I had 124 closings and 124 RSVP's sand 120 cards with something special unique to each client. So, naturally, I pulled into Wallgren's, Called my assistant and he tells me the last 4 were not entered into the spread sheet for XYZ.... reasons. coming here at night is the worst experience you can never ask for. they going out of their way to treat certain people like trash and single you out. they act like you have no right to be there in the first place. they will automatically think you're there to rob the place or steal something. these people that work here deserve to get robbed at some point and blasted because they had it coming. Stopped here after work(11pm) to pick up NyQuil for the sick hubby. I was glad they were open late the line to checkout wasn't too long. However when I got home I realized the medicine I bought was EXPIRED. $15 for expired meds great. I went back the next night and didn't even get an apology. I am a medical practitioner and I have been on hold for 43 minutes so far (I kid you not, I took a picture at the 43 minute mark) to call in a prescription for one of my patient's who is having an acute asthma attack and needs a refill on his inhaler! Very incompetent and disrespectful of not only the providers that send them business, but also their customers who need meds ASAP. Based on the other reviews, I recommend you go elsewhere and I will NOT be recommending this pharmacy in the future to ANY of my patients and will guide them elsewhere! I have seen Truck Stops cleaner than this walgreens in San Antonio!!! The parking lot is a dump with spoiled food, beer cans, cigarette butts which looks like its been there since the battle of the Alamo! Floors and countertops filthy. I won't even go there when it comes to the bathroom! I understand there are bad manager's who were brought up and happened to turn into a grownup slob which has carried over to this all too disturbing trend in the workplace however what happened to the big cheese overpaid area and regional managers who I know have to inspect their stores on a periodic basis.
