That said, I have no idea what's going here but this Wal-Mart has its stuff together. The first visit was an exceptionally clean visit. From produce all the way to the garden center. Employees were about average and some smiled. No greetings aside from the door person but nothing was expected. Paid a few more visits to include a Saturday afternoon. Exactly the same. I'm sure this isn't the same volume as the ones in Houston that I am accustomed to but never the less who ever is managing here sure like to keep their store clean. No empty holes, no repetitive facing of items from out of stocks. Carts were available etc, etc. I'm sure I have jinxed myself but this place through me for a loop. Thanks local Wal-Mart. Being a new resident to Texas and now retired it's nice to see we have a Target. Target is truly a great shopping experience, no loud overhead music, no chaos like you know who (WM), clean well stocked stores and friendly staff and so on. Yes there are Super Targets and regular Targets some with more selections than others but in general, a great retailer. I don't rely on apps for real time information simply because an item may sell out before I get there or something else. I've always been able to get a rain check and the return process is a breeze. The value, selection and customer service are all really great at least with my experiences.

I carry my antique Lumia with me all the time (it's still my primary phone) and my handheld camera on most of my bike rides. Leaving them at the front desk is not an option for me. The store is a public space; no one has "reasonable expectations of privacy" while shopping anyway. Install cameras, and stop inconveniencing people for no reason. I was bored at home yesterday and started thinking about when we lived in Phoenix and would get coupons in the mail from these people. Well, I didn't have a coupon on hand, but I had time to kill. So, I made my way over to that side of town. I walked in and was impressed with the amount of stuff they had, but not so much with their prices. Everything seemed way overpriced (or maybe I just shop at Ross too much). I was able to find a bunch of Yankee Candle Company items on clearance and left $32 poorer. Then, I got home and noticed the mail my husband had gone to check from the day before. There sitting on top of the pile--somehow I missed it completely--was a $5 off coupon for Bed Bath and Beyond. Go figure.
