Not only do they have better prices on ALL my prescriptions, their customer service is superior! Tom made several phone calls to Meijer to get my prescription turned over and then let me know when it was ready... All within a couple of hours. I also had to call him a couple more times with various questions, and he was patient and friendly on the phone every time! I am looking forward to continued excellent hometown customer service. The Entire staff at the Rockford, IL Meijer pharmacy was overwhelmingly friendly and helpful. Sarah ran my card found that it would be paid by Caremark, Dave the pharmacists answered my other questions, EVERYONE at the pharmacy was outstanding and I was overwhelmed by their customer service and willingness to go over and above. I intend to put this same review on every site I can. It is important to know the nightmare I've been dealing with prior to Dave and his staff helping me. I have been trying to get a COVID-19 shot for over a week at other places throughout Rockford. My medical insurance said it would have to be done by a medical provider at a clinical location, not a pharmacy. My drug card is with CVS/Caremark. I tried numerous locations of CVS and was denied. I then tried every other urgent care, and pharmacy in the Rockford area, including the Loves Park, IL Meijer and was turned down. The Loves Park pharmacy wouldn't even try to run my card, (even though I've gotten other COVID shots there) and just said they couldn't help me. I had resolved that I was not getting the shot. I have worked in Healthcare Administration my whole career, and would love employees like Dave and his staff.

It's a family owned business and I'd love to be able to support it more and shop there for all my needs, but unfortunately, the price point for a full week of groceries is much higher than competitors. I'll continue to use Gray's for those quick, last minute items and hard-to-find items though. I'm very glad this store is here for the horrible weather days, that's for sure! Aside from all this, it could use some love inside, as it feels like a 1960s convenience store--but if that means higher prices, then nah. Lol
