I have a spinal injury and my doctor called in my prescriptions. I got an acknowledgment from Walgreens they received them (3pm). They finally text they were filled at 2pm the next day. These scripts are for acute pain. Having to wait 23 hrs for a prescription when the national average is 3 hrs seems a bit absurd to me. Agree the staff is friendly, but if you cannot get your meds.. that's a problem! read more

I have been getting a medication refilled at the Walgreens Pharmacy at 350 Highway & Gregory Boulevard, Raytown MO 64133, for the last year. In previous pharmacies, I was treated very rudely when I would get my medication. The pharmacist and pharmacy techs at this location are extremely nice and always get my prescription ready in a very timely manner. They are very pleasant when I pick it up and always helpful if I have any questions. I know they are short handed and are doing the best they can under the constraints they have. However, I have nothing but great respect for all of them. Last month the pharmacist went above and beyond to get my prescription ready early on a Sunday morning so that we could leave town for a family emergency. I've seen people being so rude to them, but I just wanted them to know that there is someone who appreciates what they are doing and acknowledges that they are doing a great job. I will continue to refill my script here as long as they are available. read more

The staff in the pharmacy is the nicest that I've come across. They made me smile when I couldn't talk. The lines always move quickly and I like to buy some of my make-up at this location. The make-up counter girls are really helpful, as well. They have a one-hour photo area where you can get your prints for cheap. The Sunday paper usually has coupons for discounted prints. Just make sure to check your photos before you leave; they don't always turn out like they should. Overall, a convinent location and a typical drug store. read more

I went in to load a card and the clerk said they don't load cards after 7pm which is not a company policy. I have loaded my card at other Walgreens with no issue. They even told me I can go to their competitor CVS and get it loaded but they would not do it! read more

I seldom wax poetic about any shopping trip to pick up routine purchases but I'm making an exception to tell about my stellar experience at Walgreens in Raytown, Missouri today. I popped in to pick up another can of the hair mousse I use but it was not on the shelves where I looked. So I asked a pleasant young woman behind the cosmetics counter if I was looking in the correct place. After looking with me, she agreed that it wasn't to be found but offered to check in the stockroom. That didn't work out, so I asked for a couple of other suggestions. She thoughtfully asked me just what I was needing in the product before pointing out three possibilities that might suit me. But she also told me that whatever product I chose, if I found it was not satisfactory for me that I could bring it back for some other product until I found the one that worked for me. Then, when I made my choice, she said "I think I have a coupon for that product" and she did -- which saved me a dollar and she pointed out that I had a dollar credit available on my Rewards redemption card so I get to try a new product for about half the usual price. I do ALWAYS appreciate good, efficient service and it isn't always forthcoming in many stores these days. So I'll just give the Walgreens in my neighborhood a big shout out and FOUR STARS for a job well done today. read more

I have never had anything but stellar service at this Walgreens. The Pharmacist goes above an beyond to help you. When I buy something particular beauty care or creams the gal always look in her massive collection of coupons to find one for me. Maybe the lady with the bad review does not realize she is not the only one who goes to Walgreens. I certainly could not state that the person in the drive through needed to be turned away in 1 minute I do not know the circumstance of her problem. Drive thru's are seldom faster just look at McDonalds I can get my food twice as fast and save gas by going inside. Boy wait until flu season! These people are the best and are under extreme pressure they are not just taking you prescription request but numerous ones that are faxed in and called in. my hats off to them read more

I just returned from Walgreen's in Raytown, and to say I'm upset is an understatement. I went to the drive-thru to pick up medication at the Pharmacy. Being the only one there, I expected to be in and out quickly. The cashier told me, "One minute please" as she was waiting on a customer at the counter. I waited for 8 minutes by their own clock. Then, she waited on another and another. I pushed the button for service, and was told that I would have to be patient, as they were "spread so thin... only 2 people working in the pharmacy." By that point I told her I needed the medication, I wasn't interested in hearing for the second time how they were "spread so thin", and she should be taking turns between the counter and the window if she was the only one. She said she would call the manager. Went back to the counter to wait on another person, came back to the window and said the manager couldn't speak to me at that time. A man next appeared and took over for her. He rang up the medication, not saying anything until I asked him if he was the manager. He said yes, I said I had a complaint, and his response was "he knew" and proceeded to tell me how they were "spread so thin" (exact same words I'd heard more than once before), but never asked if he could help me. I told him that I understood retail, and I understood you took turns between customers. I had now been there 18 minutes. He apologized, and I left. I will be calling corporate tomorrow, as I do not believe he was the manager, and I do not appreciate the excuses I received. There was no reason to leave me, the only car there, sitting while customer after customer at the counter was waited on. If I could give this -0 stars, I would be more than glad to. I'm just fortunate that this is not our usual pharmacy, but it was unfortunate that I had to wait to so long for people who don't have any common sense or the consideration to do their job properly. If it wasn't that this medication was needed on an emergency basis, I would never have waited. read more
