Walgreens has frequent mistakes poor communication and poor service in general. One prescription is for three months, but I now get one month at a time. THey don't keep it in stock and there are other delays. These add up so that i get only 10 or eleven months of prescriptions per year. Other mistakes are no order on file even though I ordered on the automatic system and was layer quoted a pick-up date by an assistant at the store. read more

I entered the pick up area and I was the only car there, the young woman advised me that i had to wait. After a considerable wait she said in a rude tone ARE YOU READY? ARE YOU READY? I said yes I am and she proceeded to fill my prescription. Walgreen's employees are rude, and that rudeness reflects directly on the manager of the store. read more

I like this place. I go there almost everyday. On my end of town there aren't too many drugs stores I can ride my bike to in a matter of minutes. The folks working here are friendly and they also have a nice selection of Punta Gorda sweatshirts at super reasonable prices. read more

Before I retired to Punta Gorda, I worked for 30 years in healthcare! This pharmacy is terrible!! Three times in less than a year I caught mistakes on my prescriptions. One time it was a prescription for another person and another time I was shorted and another time I was given the wrong medication. If I had been a regular lay person I may never have caught these mistakes!! For your safety, Double check your prescriptions before you leave the store!!! read more

Just received our first COVID vaccine today. They did a marvelous job of getting people thru the line. We had no wait. Disney could take some lessons from them. Worst, worst pharmacy ever! Getting a prescription filled is like pulling teeth. You will have to call every day , wait approximately 15 minutes for someone to answer and tell them what needs to be done to fill the prescription as there's always something holding it up. Sometimes it takes me a week!!! Many, many times waiting for prescription in the store, they will fill it and not tell you it's ready. I sit right in front of them so they are aware I am waiting. Wait in line again, as no one will inform you or help with the finally filled prescription!? In the drive through, sent my credit card and license to pay. Somehow my card numbers were added to their computer system without my knowledge. I NEVER keep a credit card on file. Received my prescription and license back but no card. Explained that she still had my card and was told there wasn't a credit card placed in the drive through tray and continued to argue with me as she wanted me to leave! I wasn't Leaving without my card and started to panic since she would not even look around and was insistent she did not have it! Finally, the credit card was found on the counter right next to her. No apology, nothing. I DREAD when I have a prescription that needs to be filled and currently trying to switch to another pharmacy. We were making two calendars for gifts We needed help and the first one a young girl helped Then the second one a gentleman helped us They were both patient and gave us great customer service We live closer to two other Walgreens but the drive is worth it! We've used Walgreens all over the country for years with hardly ever an issue, however since moving to PG over a year and choosing this particular Walgreens because of its location, we've had nothing but bad experiences. We'll get both emails and text messages several times advising that a prescription is ready for pickup, only to get there and watch them search every bin, box, bucket and fridge for the meds. Oftentimes it takes several employees looking frantically to find the script. Employees are friendly, but the store has zero organization!! If it weren't such a hassle to switch, we'd change pharmacies in a heartbeat. Someone from corporate needs to help them get organized. read more

I have shopped at this Walgreens for 21 years and today I was treated like a pest. The two workers there didn't have any customers and when I wanted to be directed where to scan some pictures one of the women blew me off and refused to help. The scanners were both broken in three pieces each so I had to try to fit the pieces together time and time again. They were also filthy. I wasted 45 minutes trying to use broken dirty equipment with no assistance from one of the workers that stood and watched me struggle while the other worker said "it's self serve" snottily . I ended up leaving and going to Walmart where everything was clean and the photo people were wonderful. This happened on 9-23-2019 at noon with the store deserted. Been the only customer at the time I was there nobody from the pharmacy made any effort to find out what I was there for, having to wait at least 10 min before somebody approach the counter. Will never shop at this or any other Walgreen ever. My wife took her aunt's prescription to CVS and Publix and they were out so she went to this store and had a horrible experience. The lady that "helped" her, was very rude and cruel to her, she said she couldn't read the prescription, asked my wife if she could, my wife said she couldn't but the last 2 pharmacies could, and the lady replies "they probably didn't want to deal with you" really? When my wife asked if she could call the hospital she told her no, that she needed to take it back to the hospital, my wife told her it was Sarasota memorial 40 mins away, her reply "why didn't you fill it up there?" Unbelievable. I had a bad experience at this same store a year or so ago, not as bad as my wife's but I made a choice not to use this store again, I didn't call mgmt and complain, I didn't write any bad reviews, I didn't tell anybody except maybe my wife but after getting a a phone call this evening from my wife crying you better believe some phone calls will be made and I'll be making some reviews. read more
