Walgreens in Piscataway is the most scatterbrain Pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I called to see if my prescriptions were ready and I was told yes both are ready. I also received a email notice saying that both are ready. We got to the pharmacy and only one was ready. I am so tired of this kind of nonsense going on that. Again, I'm a huge review reader and a writer! I just moved to NJ and I may say this Walgreens has very little selection in certain departments, but the pharmacy was very friendly not use to that especially coming from NY. The pharmacy technician was very helpful in explaining why mi insurance was doing what they were doing (even though I knew why in advance) but I let her explain to see if she knew what she was doing! #GreatJob! Went for the new covid booster shoot. Easy to make an appointment online. Answer 11 questions and get the free shot. They offer it. I'm getting it. I've had covid twice. First time without being vaccinated. Bad, horrible experience 3 weeks sick. 2nd time with vaccinations, and it was like feeling like I'm coming down with something. Easy quarantine and back to myself. I'll get whatever they come out with for covid. read more

The absolute WORST. I need to take the time to have all my prescriptions transferred to a different pharmacy because not only does the customer service really suck here but they rarely have medications that I need in stock when I need them including ones that I'm on monthly. good luck trying to get them on the phone. Usually you're on hold forever and then the system will disconnect you. even if you try to be the first one at the pharmacy when they open they usually don't get there on time anyways. They are not helpful and they are rude and condescending. It's really clear that the staff there is bored by life and their job and doesn't want to be there. No one ever smiles. I don't usually review a lot of things but I'm so frustrated I needed to find an outlet. read more

2 weeks and still no prescriptions! First week I called and they tell me tomorrow, on back order, getting insurance????? This week they just put me on hold and then hang up after 45 minutes. I always used them and was happy, but never again! They obviously don't care about peoples health. I only gave them 1 star because I had to, otherwise I would have given them no stars. Walgreens always has a long line. The cashier is always pretty friendly. The store is fairly clean.

The pharmacy department is the absolute worse..it was a 15 minute wait per car. I was in line for 45 fuxkin minutes. They are so slow. I will never go there again read more

Pharmacy assistant was quick and helpful. I noticed they had a large selection of Halloween candy and other items on sale. The store was pretty clean and well organized, but shopping carts were old and hard to push. read more

I drove to pick up my photos at Walgreens, but I had a sleeping baby in my car. When I called the photo department to ask if they could let me use the drive thru they had absolutely no problems with it and I was able to get my photos without leaving my car! Thanks read more

Been going to this library cation since I moved into the area 11 years ago. The staff is always helpful though the lines can back up at times. A few years ago they stopped taking the military insurance and I switched my prescriptions to the other major pharmacy with the initials as their name. In the past year, Walgreens has started taking the military insurance again and I switched back. One major difference I see is in the communication between the pharmacy and my doctors. When a prescription doesn't have refills, I now have to call and speak with a pharmacist to have them contact my doctor and request a new script (they acted as if this was an inconvenience). I am not able to do this online, by the automated phone system, or through the app. Additionally, I always have to remind them to charge both of my insurances as they seem to not automatically charge both. The other pharmacy had a seamless interaction with my physician and I was able to request refills and they would automatically contact my physician and refill my scripts. Though I've never had a serious problem with this particular Walgreens, pharmacy customer service varies greatly depending on who is behind the counter. It's close to home, and they take my insurance. Just the little kinks in getting a prescription through and spotty customer service are the reason for 3 stars read more

This has been my neighborhood go-to pharmacy since 2009. For starters I went in to pick up a prescription and they say I'm no longer in the system no answers as to why. No warning prior to picking up prescription that I would have to bring my insurance cards. That wasn't what made me write the review. After leaving pharmacy choose to pick up some items for home, while checking out the cashier was NOTHING SHORT OF RUDE. As if it wasn't bad enough I had a 2 year throwing a tantrum and I'm in pain from being sick. The cashier was nasty including while I was looking at some candy on a shelf on her desk she lunges it and things behind it fall on my foot and she doesn't apologize or nothing. Turns away! I pick up the items hand them to her and tell her what she has just done . . No response! It's not the first time I've had a bad experience with this lady, almost every time I go she has an attitude. Never had a problem with any cashier before here, the friendliness is always great. This older woman has officially changed my outlook of even stepping place. read more
