I'm dumbfounded by the few poor reviews regarding customer service. After decades of using…read moreWalgreens and CVS I moved my prescriptions to Star on Bailey Cove due to poor customer service. Star staff is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They may be busy with someone ahead of me but I never feel rushed when discussing my medications. The staff is caring and makes me feel valued. They're also great problem solvers and don't mind to call your doc for a refill. I've not noticed an increase in prescription price but if there is one I'd happily pay it to be treated well! Highly recommend! Bad service is Walgreens and CVS in South Huntsville. Star is like a spa experience compared to the others. Thank you Star pharmacy BC! You guys rock! Thanks for taking care of me and managing my prescriptions!

Fantastic staff and service!…read more They went so far out of their way to help me during the nation-wide shortage of ADHD meds. This was an extremely difficult time. I tried Walgreens and Krogers (both rude and apathetic) before coming here and being pleasantly surprised. The lady with short hair has a tough exterior, I thought she hated me at first haha. But came to realize she just has a busy job that she takes very seriously, which makes her seem that way. The younger guy with a beard is a hero. One time I was getting jerked around for days by my insurance company. I literally gave him my phone and let him do the talking, and it was fixed that day. I moved away but HAD to leave a review first!

That's was great, but wait there's more! After confirming it in stock, I told the pharmacist that I had to call my pharmacy and transfer it to sure save. He said "I can take care of that for you so you don't have to worry about it." So here's the thing. He didn't have to do that. He took it the extra step and completely exceeded my expectations. Given the fact that I'm in a lot of pain from my ER visit last night, I really REALLY appreciated that.

The owner, Darden, also owns…read moreStar Market grocery store that is directly across the street on Pratt, and a Star Market Grocery and (I could be wrong) also a Propst Drugs in Meridianville, AL, and is affiliated with Hunnington Pharmacy in SE Huntsville. Now that the history lesson is out of the way, I have to say this Propst is a nice addition to Five Points. When I lived nearby on Ward, Propst Drugs was very convenient as it was open seven days a week, and I liked you could pick up over-the-counter items there, and Propst offered the convenience of an in-house post office counter. Darden, the pharmacist at the time, was very knowledgeable and helpful. I never considered it a "discount" pharmacy/drugstore; however, that may be an artifact from its name when it opened in the 1950s. I like that the business model has changed over the years, with the initiation of a "walk in clinic" here, I think around 2010, and the consolidation of the durable medical equipment at this location (which was formerly on Governers Drive). I can't comment to the walk-in clinic or the durable medical equipment since I have not used either. The convenience to both Star Market grocery (which has an in-store pharmacy) and the Propst Drug Store are huge assets to those living in Five Points. Most residents can walk to both stores and even dine at 1892 East across the street. Thank you, Darden, for keeping Huntsville's "Heritage" alive!
