When you go inside Liberty Drug, you will see that it's set-up is messy and doesn't look clean…read more Everything in there seems dated back to the 1970s. I am posting today because of Liberty Drug's terrible customer service. My doctor put in an order for a compound to be made for me and Liberty Drug is slow (generally speaking, my experience is that their turnaround is over a week). Specifically, I placed my compound order a week and a half ago. At the time, I told them that I wanted the "small tube" TWICE during the phone call. Today, around 12:30pm, they called to say that my compound was ready for pickup. Approximately 3pm, I went to pick up it. They made the larger tube for me (which is about $40 more). The pharmacist stated that they needed to remake it. Then, the cashier said that it will be a 10-20 minutes wait. I was confused on the wait time knowing that it takes them a while to make compounds. So, I asked to speak with the manager. When I went to speak to the manager about this to understand my wait time, he blamed me for this issue (remember, all I wanted to know was how long it will take to remake my compound). He said that since this has happened twice with my order (it happened once before a year or two ago), he said that it was my fault. He did not look to his employees as the source of error. The lady next to him said that I needed to specify how many milliliter (ml) tube I wanted. I said that I would not know the ml size of this compound. This is not something that I look at or consider - would you know how many ml (or ounces) is your toothpaste? I said that the person who took my order should (and could) have clarified the size and cost, especially since I mentioned twice that I wanted the "small tube". But, this person did not. This person just hurried up and hung up after taking my order (he was abrupt and rushed during this call). So, the manager outright blamed me. He did not look to his people and their obligation to clarify the order. He did not look into his management failings to train his staff to ask the right questions. He had no consideration that it took them a week and a half to give me my order and that I drove approximately 30 minutes to go there on a very cold day. With that said, I have found the cashiers to be very friendly over the years, although there is a lot of turnover. Based on my experiences at Liberty Drug, they are not a well-oiled machine. Their processes and communications are similar to the store set-up - messy, not clean and outdated.

Knowledgeablel pharmacy staf. Excellent customer service. Great follow up and they always answer…read morethe phone!

The staff is a delight- from the front of house to the sensational pharmacy department. The pharmacy has standout pharmacists with a delightful, cordial, and professional demeanor, providing empathy, which results in superior service, among the elite. The shelves throughout the front of sore are well-stocked, and perfectly organized. The staff could not be more pleasant and kind. This is a 5-star (FIVE STAR) CVS location. Why others have given the store poor reviews is mind boggling. If you want a nightmare pharmacy experience, take a drive to CVS's Philadelphia Fairmount Avenue location and see the belligerent and rude pharmacy manager, Amna, and the unsupportive pharmacists that have no accountability, don't care about how rudely they treat customers, do not return calls in an hour, nor respond to messages in the time required- both from customers, and CVS customer support. This is a POLAR OPPOSITE than the refreshing staff at CVS New Providence, NJ. The pharmacy staff is wonderful, led by a competent manager, at the New Providence location. Its always something with the workers. I go and try to pick up my FEDex and Mr. Dubaah (?)…read more asks for a tracking number. I only had my i.d. so he looks for it with my name. Comes back and says they don't have it. I go to my car and bring back my phone. I am trying to show him the tracking number from the phone. He insists on holding my phone. Finally I give it to him and say that I don't like people holding my phone. He allows a 5-second delay and says, "Huh?" I ignored him. He then repeats what I just said but in question form. I ignore him. He is doing all this extra reading to just take the tracking number. He lays the phone down and has the hardest time keying in my number. Finally, he verifies it is there. He and another lady go to look for it. She finds it. I said that it was right where he was looking before. He makes an excuse about the print was small and he read a different name. What a lame. Just apologize for taking me through it. He finally scans me out and tells me I am all done. On the other side, a lady is getting her passport pic taken, and it is right next to the chip stand. So I am waiting. He repeats that I am all done like he is rushing me out. I ignore him. The other lady looks at me, and I politely tell her that I want some chips but to please finish with the customer. I get my chips and go. Unprofessional, passive aggressive and rude. How do you handle customers so rude?
