I was referred to this pharmacy by my fantastic doctor for mail order specialty prescriptions. The goal was to streamline efforts at a fair price. You will get phone calls and texts from these folks. Hopefully you are in a place to answer these calls because if you have to call back, your hold times will be at least 15 minutes. When you actually get a human, expect to be put on hold again for at least 5 minutes. Actual communication is an issue. I've received quotes from these folks that do not match amounts they've quoted my doctor's office that were negotiated between the two. I have forwarded the email with the insanely different quote to my doctor's office for correction - it was $1200. Today I got call from Mandell's asking me for $740-ish dollars. No emailed quote. No idea what I'm paying for. Yesterday my doctor faxed over a prescription for a single shot that I need in two days with a negotiated rate of around $90. I call Mandell's and tell them I just need the shot. What do they tell me? $540 please. Come to find out they were trying to send me a whole kit of injections after further investigation. I'm sure these are lovely people but one has to ask a question, do you really want to take a shot from a pharmacy who can't read a simple prescription? I feel like they would have easily taken my $540 with no issue when I didn't need the whole kit. It's taken me multiple phone calls to resolve this issue, which by the way is still unresolved. I love supporting family owned businesses but when attention to detail, communication and perhaps even honesty are at issue, they've got to do better. read more

I am currently undergoing fertility treatments in California at an out-of-pocket expense. The nurses told me about Mendell's Pharmacy in NY and told me they can get me the medication I need at a much cheaper cost than I would get it at the pharmacy where I go. It is so nerve-wracking and emotional to be dealing with fertility issues when trying to grow a family and I had the BEST experience with Mendell's. They have incredibly kind and competent people answering the phones and dealing with orders. I was able to get my medication overnighted at no extra cost and it came packaged like a present with a little bag of Hershey's kisses and a sweet note. I was really touched when I opened it up to see all the extra touches they do for their patients. When I reordered I used their online form And was very happy with how fast someone got back to me with my processed order. Things were seamless and so easy yet again. Today was my third time ordering and once again I had a great experience. I filed my order form out with the wrong date and it was so easily fixed by staff for me and I had a great experience interacting with their wonderful staff yet again. I wish all pharmacies were this well run And sensitive to the patients they have. I feel really lucky to have found Mendell's and enthusiastically recommend it to anyone who needs fertility medication alone, with iui, or ivf. read more

The last couple of years I've had the privilege of ordering my meds through Mandell's on about 10 separate occasions. Every experience I've had with this team has been stellar. It's the kind of customer service you expect and desire but sadly rarely get these days. The humans are kind and responsive, their systems are fast, convenient, and accurate. They go above and beyond with their shipment options- including air overnight shipping and always include instructions for the meds, sometimes even surprise treats :) The best part of my fertility journey (besides my daughter) has been Mandell's. This is my third time using the pharmacy. Had to medications delivered and went to the pharmacy to pick up one. The staff is very helpful and friendly over the phone and ensure that they get your order 100% correct and to you in a timely manner. Love how they send you a little bag of Hershey kisses with your order in the mail. This was a nice touch that just makes you smile when you open it. Drove to the pharmacy today. 30 minutes there and back for my home lots of parking. The waiting room has some seats if there are other customers ahead of you and they offer coffee and tea as you wait. Two customers were ahead of me which took me about 20 minutes of waiting. Which is kind of long but they pride themselves and everyone having a positive experience so I understand the need to ensure everyone has their questions answered. I was referred to this pharmacy by my clinic. They took 3 weeks to process an order ... which doesn't mean get it ready for shipment. I was told they process by "need". I got no updates for nearly 3 weeks. Need apparently means need by date. So if you use this pharmacy, make sure you tell them you need your meds immediately or else you're tossed to the curb while they process everyone else ahead of you. Because it took them so long to process my order, I had to cancel my treatment. Then my shipment got stuck with Fedex due to bad weather. After a month of sending in my order, I still don't have my meds from Mandells and they won't take my order back because I had to sign a shipment waiver, so now the meds will all be thrown in the trash. As a side note, I got a quote and order processed by another pharmacy on the same day the order arrived, so Mandell's definitely has an insanely slow and inefficient process. You have to talk to a different person each step of the way, then wait for callbacks if you aren't by the phone constantly. 100% regret trusting my clinic on this one and have encouraged them to stop referring people to Mandells. read more

Why do these guys have 4.5 ratings? I will never recommend them. Below is what Sandra Fernandez a pharmacy manager did to me. They suck really bad at customer service. My first procedure in July - AugustI went through hell with them. Due to covid, they couldn't get my medication to me on time and because they were supposed to be refrigerated, they were no good. We tried twice and they still couldn't get it to me. Anytime they couldn't get medication to me and recalled it, and they had to resend, I will have to pay again so I ended up with lots of different cost for the same medication on my cards including paying for this expensive procedure. When the last medication failed to arrive last August and stayed all weekend with the shipping company, the pharmacy manager Sandra Fernandez, called to threaten me to accept the medication else she was going to call my doctors office to report me. As if I'm some 20 years old and she is paying for my procedure. I refused because this is my life decision. (The funny part, Sandra had called me on the Saturday after my medication wasn't delivered on Friday to tell me, she didn't think the medications were going to be delivered because their pharmacy doesn't pay for weekend delivery. )Sandra Fernandez then called my doctor's office to report me for refusing to accept the medication that has expired while she had placed several holds on monies on my cards and to solicit for their help to force me to accept the expired medication. Sandra Fernandez tried to ruin the relationship between my fertility doctor and myself. I wish there were more options. They bully customers here and it's really bad. I'm a woman almost 40 years and I live in a city with only two fertility doctors and she tried to give me problems. I actually got a problem with the doctor because of that. I was accused that it was my fault that they were having issues getting the medication to me. I don't know which part I played after paying them, that prevented them from getting the medications to me and what they told the doctor for those accusations but I will always go for an alternative fertility pharmacy. read more

The staff is super friendly, helpful, informative, and accommodating. I've only gone to pick up meds because I've been afraid that I wouldn't be able to receive them when shipped - they have a policy that all meds must be signed for and I don't always have someone at home to sign for them. The staff always makes sure you have questions answered, receive a fresh set of alcohol pads and sharps containers for the injectibles, and they throw in a little candy to boot. My meds are covered by insurance so I can't speak to pricing but I know that they have several programs for out-of-pocket patients. read more

Perfect pharmacy experience, best one I've ever had. Superior customer service and best pricing all around. I needed my meds shipped and they worked with my doctor and my insurance company to make sure I got the best price. Throughout the process they contacted me regularly to keep me updated, I never had to call them about a thing. When my order was finally processed I paid a quarter of what I had paid at my previous pharmacy. They also inspect the medications very carefully to make sure there are no errors prior to shipping. Customer service pros!!! I had to get medication mailed to me and I was so impressed with their attentiveness, concern, and efficiencies. We found medications here much cheaper than our regular pharmacy too! The meds were delivered extremely fast with a sweet letter on top and some Hershey's kisses. 3rd pregnancy. But services got worse. In the past I was offered to sign a wavier for shipment. Now even I asked, I got a no. Until the 4th shipment, I asked again. The rep said, yes, there's one but that will need to be signed and received before the order was processed. So why didn't mention that at my 1st, 2nd and 3rd order when I asked?! How many time off a working mom who needs to save days for the treatment can have to stay home for the package?! Since it's too late, I asked which carrier they would use for this "next day" shipment. She told me "UPS". It turned out to be FedEx which can only emailed me "Will ship by 8:00 PM" but actually likes to ship during day time when no one home to sign off the package. So they got to charge me $5 for re-scheduling. This is additional to the $15 Mandell's charged. On top of that I missed 2 days of does! read more

This was my first time using Mandells and highly recommend them as their excellent customer service, attentiveness, and expertise goes a long way. My doctor placed a last minute order on a federal holiday (insurance company was closed) for medication that needed to be received by 7 PM the next day and every person I spoke to on the phone was helpful and informative about how to take the injection, what to expect, etc. I received the injection perfectly on time via FedEx and although my insurance didn't cover it, I didn't think it was expensive. Injecting yourself is no fun but the candy they pack made me smile. I didn't get a sharp disposables box in my package so I had to dispose of the needle safely on my own which was a minor inconvenience. read more
