Walgreens on Shadow Creek Parkway in Pearland, TX is the absolute worst. I keep coming back thinking it can't get any worse and they keep proving me wrong. They are not always understaffed, which leads to ridiculous waiting times, but the employees that are here are pathetically incompetent. Do these stores ever get evaluated? I visit this Walgreens maybe four times a month. Their selection on things is kinda limited. They always seem to be sold out of all the items I need or want. The cashier line is always so long and it takes forever to get through it. I've left things there before because the line wasn't moving. I tried to get a prescription transferred and the lady in the pharmacy looked at me like i was crazy. She had to wait for the person at the drive thru to finish so she could ask. I have been repeatedly trying to order my heart medication and the pharmacy has no record of me ever being on a medication that i have ordered through Walgreens for 5 years. Let me tell you this, I LOVE going to Walgreens. I take advantage of all of the sales, and I particularly go to this location on Shadow Creek Pkwy VERY often, seeing as though it's two minutes from my house. Listen to this. I ordered some over-the-counter vitamins from the Walgreens.com website, and I received an email on Friday that stated that my order was ready to be picked up from the store. I did not have time to go and pick up my order prior to tonight, I went on my lunch break to run and pick up my package. When I got to the store I had to stand in line for a long time behind a lady using coupons and the store cashier that had no idea what she was doing. When it was finally my time to be assisted I was told that I have to pick up my package in the photo area where no one was working and all the lights were turned off. (Keep in mind it was 9:00 PM) I went and waited to be assisted as instructed and an older oriental lady came and asked me what did I need? I told her that I was there to pick up a package and I gave my name, my phone number, and the order number. The lady then said wait I need someone to come and help me because this package has the last name that you tell me but that's it it doesn't have your married last name just your maiden last name. I told her Craig was my maiden name however, my married name was Davis which is what my license reflected. I also informed her that I did not have another license that had the last name Craig on it which was the same that was on the box that she held in her hand. I also gave her my cell phone number which was located on that package, the order number, and I also told her what was inside of the box which was over the counter vitamins. She then gets on the intercom and calls for the store manager. After a couple of minutes of waiting anxiously because I was in a rush since I was on my lunch break, in order African-American lady with her hair slicked back in a ponytail and fuchsia colored lipstick on one came through the back door. She had the most inviting facial expression and energy that I felt and this store. The Oriental lady explained to the store manager, Miss Pauletta, what what's going on and before I could even get a word out Pauletta immediately blurted out oh no this package says Craig and that's where I need the ID to say. I attempted to explain to her the situation however she continued to cut me off very rudely and abruptly. I also attempted to point out that the Walgreens.com email specifically said that whoever picks up the package needed an identification card or at least the email that said the package was ready. I attempted to show this email to both the Oriental lady and the store, but they were not trying to assist me what so ever needless to say not only was this store manager very rude and unwelcoming to a paying customer she still refused to give me my package that I paid my money for. I told her that I use the same identification card/drivers license to pick up my narcotics at the pharmacy which is actually controlled medications federally. I also reminded her that this small package was nothing but a box of over the counter vitamins and that it should not be that big of a deal because she was not a police officer Or anything. She proceeded to tell me that it didn't matter what I said or what the email that the company sent me said that she would not be able to release my package to me unless my drivers license say Craig and not Davis. I asked her what would happen if my designated person came and picked up my package and they don't have the same last name as me? Would they then to be turned away? I am very upset at this experience because I shop at this particular store at least three times per week and my member number and activity shows and reflects this as well. I can not be leave that I have such a hard time picking up something that I paid for. That was the rudest employee that I have Come in contact with at this particular location. As good as any other drug store. Nothing too out of the ordinary. It is well stocked with the usual drug store items and conviently located. Pharmacy is efficient, drop your rx, browse the isles ~~ find me at the cosmetics or the cards...love their selections and boom, your prescription is ready! I cant complain. read more

Took my 6 month and 2 1/2 yr old boys to take passport photos and not one but three employees in that department did not know how to take their photos. One lady suggested I go home, put the 6 month old in his car seat, with a white sheet as a back drop and come back to this location so they can work on his passport photo... Hello!!! I moved all of my prescriptions from another pharmacy to this Walgreen's. The entire process was very quick and painless. The staff was helpful, friendly and I did not encounter any long wait times or problems. When I checked a couple of days later they had all of my records from the previous pharmacy and in fact has already filled one. When I called to renew another prescription, since I did not yet have the numbers, I talked to a person in the pharmacy and the whole thing was done in 30 seconds. read more

Horrible experience with the photo lab. After 15 minutes of waiting, lady asks what we need. We explained we needed passport photos. She rolls her eyes and says that is going to take a long time. She then asks person waiting behind us what he needed. He said photo prints. She then proceeds to says "that won't take as long, I'll take him first". Such unprofessional photo worker! Stopped there this morning to get a Valentine's Day card...girl at front register was quite rude...I believe her name way Taylor or Tyler, couldn't read name as she quickly walked away after our transaction. Mumbled the total and when I asked for clarification about the change she snapped the amount back at me. I set the change on the counter as I was digging the exact amount out of my wallet, and she kept holding her hand out and would not pick up the change from the counter. I picked it up and placed it in her hand, and she finished the transaction, handed me the receipt and walked away. Not so much as a "thank you". Basic customer service people, the bare minimal is to thank the customer after each transaction...Walgreens is going the way of the dinasour and will continue to do so if it allows this type of behavior to represent its stores... read more

The pharmacy is incompetent! They are always messing up orders, not filling prescriptions, don't have medicine in stock, or taking forever. A manager needs to micro manage them before they put the store out of business. It's never a good experience and you have to expect the worst. They let floaters as they call it come and work there and no one is held accountable for mistakes. read more

So I have determined one thing that really slows down the line. The person at thw counter will stop and work on entering insurance information from scratch, which stops the entire line for up to 15 minutes at a time. At the CVS across the street they move you to a different line to keep the checkout moving. I relly miss CVS. read more

Very very very slow. The automated system told me a prescription was ready on a Saturday. I went to pick up and was told they were out of the medicine! Said return on Monday. I called and they said it didn't arrive. I asked that they check another Walgreens and call me back, which they never did. I called again and they said they had the medicine and would fill it right away. So, here I am waiting because it's not ready. SMH! read more

The pharmacy here has no customer service what so ever. I waited for someone to assist me and nobody spoke to me. A young lady named Alex spoke to me after about 5 mins and tried to multi task but a chubby guy didn't speak after passing me multiple times. He seemed like he was rushing to clock out instead of helping the staff cut the line down. He left abruptly and said in front of a customer "I'm ready to go." Unprofessional and rude. Worst damn Walgreens ever! I wish I could post this picture of a 45 min call I screen shot on hold! I had enough time to go from my house to Chilis,pick up dinner to go, then drive to the Walgreens where I then confronted the manager with the phone still ringing and me on hold for for her to tell me they are backed up! So unprofessional you can't even answer the phone for two seconds to say look we don't have your script ready,we are backed up! This is by far the WORST Walgreens locations I have ever been to and unfortunately it is in my neighborhood to it is the one I have to shop at. They are understaffed and they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a company. There is never anyone at the photo center. People are always standing there waiting for several waiting for assistance. The person checking out at the front is usually alone and expected to check people out help with questions and attend to the photo center as well. The most frustrating issue with this store is the pharmacy, they are understaffed and it is apparent in their frustrations. Their system needs to be updated because every month I get my email that my refill is ready and every month I go up there to pick it up and have to wait a minimum to 15 minutes, this month I had to come back the following day. My dr called in a RX yesterday morning and I came in yesterday night and it wasn't even ready, it is a constant problem, you see people standing around all of the time frustrated and angry. Something needs to change NOW. This entire store needs help and someone needs to do something about it. read more

Whatever you have to do to not have your RXs filled at tho pharmacy do it!! This place will truly make you think you're in some sort of Ashton Kutcher PUNK'D movie!! They are NEVER able to keep up with your RXs from your doctor and constantly have to send requests back in over and over and over again, which will drive your doctor's office crazy. They can not keep up with your credit card that you have assigned to auto pay, so no matter how many times you submit it they will tell you it's not on file. They never have your RXs right or on time, so imagine being sick and going to pick up your medicine and they have some medicine ready for you that's not even yours or having them tell you that you never called in your RX when of course you did! They will look at you and say "Oh well we don't know how this happened, give us about 2-3 hours and we'll have it ready." As if a sick person has 2 or 3 more hours to just hang around when you've given them a day or two already to get your prescription right! Oh and don't try calling; your absolute shortest wait time will be between 10-12 minutes but most likely you're looking at 18-25, and once you do get through you'll probably get put back on hold again and then hung up on only to have to call back again to listen to elevator music all over again. And showing up in person is the absolute worst because I have NEVER seen a pharmacy that ALWAYS has at least 5 people standing waiting in line at the pharmacy counter, all upset, all with furious looks on their faces because they've already been waiting a long time and/or received horrible customer service. You will always have at least a 20 minute wait at the counter line there. And you are guaranteed at least one problem each time! Now I will admit every other Walgreens I ever went to before switching to this one had good service and I did not have problems. I have no idea what the deal is with this particular JOKE of a pharmacy but that's exactly what it is. They need to start from the bottom and re-do the whole thing because it is a complete disaster! I would advise anyone to keep your sanity by going to any other pharmacy than this one! You do not want to deal with this kind of disrespectful, unprofessional, insane behavior, especially when you're not feeling well! Trust me on this, go elsewhere! The pharmacy at this location is terrible with a CAPITAL T. I dropped off a prescription in the drive thru at 2:30 on a Friday afternoon and was told it would be ready in an hour and a half. This was not a problem because I had to go back to work. I come back after work feeling worse than I did when I dropped off the script and the young lady asks me did I have an insurance card. I explained to her that I had given my card with the rx and they should have it. After about 5 min of searching she finally comes back with let me run it on your insurance give me a moment. By this time I am getting really frustrated and she gives me some astronomical price. I ask for my prescriptions back to go to another pharmacy which is out of the way for me but the service is much better. When I get to the other pharmacy I am asked "were these filled somewhere else today" . after explaining the situation the tech at the other pharmacy calls Walgreens and is left on eternal hold. Needless to say I could not get my scripts because of them. I call on Monday and was left on hold for 9 min and 20 seconds after being transferred several times to ask the pharmacy to take out the prescriptions from their system where they tell me they have 3 ready. I ask how it is they have 3 ready for me when I took the scripts back on Friday. No response. This place definately needs to have their people better trained. read more
