Pharmacy SUUUUCKS!!!!! I don't know why I torture myself and keep my prescriptions here. The last time I went I was there five times trying to get medication filled... Good thing I'm retired. So every month I call in my prescriptions and the AI says it'll be ready tomorrow by 1 o'clock. I go back the next day they said oh it's not ready. Come back in 15 minutes. By the way, it's pouring rain. So I return in 15 minutes. Wait in line, THEN, they told me there's no refills. I need to call my doctor. So I called the doctor. They filled the prescription I go back to the pharmacy they say they don't have permission from the doctor while I'm in line with the doctor, the doctor tells yes you have the prescription filled. Then they look it up and yes it is filled, but I have to come back in 15 minutes. I come back in 15 minutes then they tell me there's a problem with the insurance... This is stuff that keeps me alive. I called the insurance. The insurance says there is no problem. They should fill this. Then I go back to the pharmacy and they tell me. Oh well, it's not active until January 21. I told the pharmacist by then I'll be dead. The fucking bitch shrugs her shoulders and walks away. So then I get the insurance on the phone with the pharmacist and they approve 90 days. They told me to come back in 15 minutes. I'm online with the insurance company and ask them what is the problem and they said well that the prescription went from 30 days to 90 days and the pharmacy seems to be having a problem with that understanding. So the pharmacy calls back the insurance and says that they'll give me a partial. Now this is for 90 days. I figure, whatever, as long as I get something. I go back to the pharmacy and they give me a partial fulfillment of the prescription. They gave me five days... I said, are you kidding me? The pharmacist says well we won't have anymore until next week. They called on a recorded message. They said that the prescription was filled now they're telling me they don't have any of this drug in stock. I did call my doctor and I will be getting a 30 day supply directly from him because I don't want to ever be put in this position of some effing bitch shrugging her shoulders when I tell her that if I don't get this prescription I'll die. Don't use this pharmacy. I don't know who to talk to about this indifference of the pharmacist and their incompetence. read more

This Walgreen's Pharmacy location is hit or miss in general. They do offer drive thru service which can be very convenient. They are generally speaking rather helpful but seem to be unorganized at times, particularly with regards to how they connect to the bigger system of Walgreens.com and online ordering/refills, etc. For example, I regularly will get automated text messages and/or emails indicating that my order is ready and then when I go to pick it up I learn that only *part* of the order is ready and I will have to wait longer for additional items (sometimes just a few minutes, other times for much longer requiring an additional visit). However, when there is a problem, the head Pharmacist, Veronica S., is really great at taking care of issues. She is very professional, courteous and can be a real pleasure to work with. I came to her this afternoon with a manufacturing problem with one prescription that occurred twice (meaning a potential lot manufacturing problem) and she was respectful, polite, listened and paid attention to the details as she recorded them and never put anything in the way of blame or hassle or otherwise back on to me as the customer, which unfortunately tends to happen in general more often than not anymore. Outside and all around inside posted for all to see "Out is stock of Covid test" but wait, they do have them, but you need to know, that you need to ask for them. 12/25/21 I went inside to grab some coffee mate and a Covid test for a family member- it's hard NOT to notice the signs that they are out of the test. I was next to make my purchase and started to ask the lady that was ringing me up "when do you think you will have"...and before I could finish my sentence, she pulled out a test to ring me up. I said, oh you do have them? Why do you have signs up saying differently? The lady said we had been out Thursday 12/23/21, but haven't taken down the signs. Is that right? I don't think so! So many people would just read the. Sign and trust they are out. Why the dishonesty? I guess they don't want to be bother of taken down the sign or putting them back up. read more

Quite possibly one of the WORST pharmacies to go to. I have had multiple occasions where I either was not called about my prescription being ready or my insurance was messed up on their end AGAIN. This last experience I had is pushing me to write this review. I walked in with a script for my prescription (60 tabs). The lady behind the desk said there was an issue with my insurance. I give her my insurance card (which was annoying because I had already given the SAME LADY the SAME CARD not two months ago. She then says my insurance is now magically fine. Cool. She asks me if I'm going to wait for it. I ask her how long it was going to take, she says 15 minutes. I said cool I'll wait. I ask again if everything with my insurance is kosher, and she said yes. This whole process took 10-15 minutes. Over half an hour later, I don't get a call, I don't get a page over the intercom. I'm also standing right by the pharmacy. No one makes ANY attempt to contact me. I get back in line and ask another lady if my prescription is ready. She said yes it is. I asked how long ago it's been ready and she said she didn't know as she just started her shift. Then the first lady I spoke to comes back and said "I went on break! I told someone to page you!" I told her no one paged me, no one called me. Then another lady chimes in and says that she needed to call my insurance and that's what took so long. Really? I've already been told my insurance is fine, and that I'd have my prescription in 15 minutes... why is it that you have to be on the phone with my insurance AGAIN? Also, why is it that absolutely NOBODY called me or paged me? I checked my phone number in their system three times, and it was correct. I take my prescription home, and lo and behold, it was only filled with 45 tabs. WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THIS? I likely never come back to this pharmacy as it has screwed up or been difficult to pick up every single one of my prescriptions. read more

I came here on Sunday (yesterday) for an item I had purchased here two weeks ago. I saw the item was out of stock and something else (same brand-different color) was in its place. So I asked the beauty consultant (Rebecca maybe?) if they could order this color for me, since I live around the corner and would be back every two weeks for this? She tried to BS me that it was a discontinued product, when I know for a fact it is not discontinued and other stores carry it readily (its a new product). She never even looked it up, or called or tried anything but telling me its discontinued. Well, I went home and ordered it online and it has already been delivered less than 24 hours later. I think the online shopping take-over is due to crappy customer service. One more win for Amazon.com and one more loss for local business. I tired to do the right thing by walking to my local shop, but my local shop didnt have the time for me. Its sad too, I liked that I had a convenient store around the corner from my new home. I love walking into this place compared to the Linda Mar Rite Aid. It feels so much more well organized. Maybe they considered Feng Shui when designing the layout. Even if I can't find something, staff is more than happy to help me out. The freezer/cooler section has an ample supply of TV dinners, drinks and ice cream/other frozen novelties. When I checked out recently, I noticed that a discount was not applied. The cashier searched high and low for a coupon book to give me the discount. The pharmacy here is AWFUL. Do NOT go through the drive through because you will sit there for at LEAST 20 minutes. And when you get there, they will either say you're not in the system or they do not have any refills for you, even though you set it up with them at the last visit. It's like They forget whatever information you update, and they definitely forget about the customers in the drive through. read more

Every month I have no choice but to use the pharmacy department at Walgreens here in Pacifica and every single time except for last week I experience the worst customer service. Snide remarks, unnecessary extended wait times, I could go on but this is EVERY MONTH Walgreens. I've never experienced as crappy service with customers as I have had at this Walgreens. And again one month later here we are again. Dropped my prescription off at 4pm and it's 6:30pm and not ready. I have no choice but to come here. The Walgreen's pharmacy is extremely slow. I had prescriptions sent from a doctor's office an hour and a half ahead of time and they said it would take another hour and a half or I could wait another 45 minutes. It shouldn't take 3+ hours to fill a prescription. Whenever I come to the drive through I have to wait at least 20 - 30 minutes to get the prescription. Best to stay away. There are serious problems with the pharmacy and cannot tell if it's incompetence or negligence. I was told my prescription was not in the store and asked to wait till Monday. I'd already been there the day before so that's 5 days and they did not appear concerned. After pressuring them, they found my medicine 10 minutes AND refused to fill the FULL prescription. It really should be called "Card Shop with Drive-Thru Pharmacy" but I guess "Walgreens" is easier to remember. I popped in during my fruitless search for the latest issue of Better Homes & Garden only to not find said issue. My darling offspring quickly found a multitude of things to find fascinating and point out to me, repeatedly, none of which were the latest issue of Better Homes & Garden. Kudos to them for sticking the toy area towards the back. I was able to see it and redirect our fascination with things before he made it that far. We would probably still be in that aisle otherwise. TONS of greeting cards. Like, more than just one aisle of them. Good to know in case you're in the area and need to find a card for a specific occasion. And they're close to the front, so you can go, find what you need, and check out before your child has a chance to make it to the toy section. read more

We don't actually have that refill for you, and no we can't tell you who else might have it in stock. ...There's an issue with your insurance. Can you pay $300 out of pocket? Otherwise we have to wait until Monday to find out what's going on. ....oh you pulled up to the drive thru window? How convenient! Please wait here for 15 minutes while we figure out how to tell you your prescription hasn't even started being filled yet. ...just another 5 minutes, they're filling it right now! Within walking distance of my home, too... tho be it a 10 minute, shin splint inducing walk down the length of Manor, but then again, I'd comlain if I were shot with a golden bullet. This is a pretty terrible store in my opinion. It is located at the worst corner of my least favorite intersection in the entire world. It's grossly over priced, small and poorly stocked as far as I'm concerned. The worst thing of all is that it closes relatively early. I expect my Wallgreens to be 24/7! This place used to be a movie theater called the Seaview. One time my friends and I were in the Linda Mar shopping center and there was a kid with a box full of free kittens in front of Safeway. We took all the kittens and then we went to the Seaview and watched the Scorpion King and played with them. It is easily one of my fondest memories. read more

I am really torn about writing this review. I go to the pharmacy enough that all the staff know me by name. Everyone is kind and helpful, which I really appreciate. However, I have had several medication errors happen that could have had serious implications had I not noticed that my prescriptions were incorrect. I am a healthcare professional and I tend to pay an obsessive level of attention to my healthcare details. Some people aren't as aware of their meds and don't pay close attention to what they are receiving. I urge anyone getting a prescription filled to scrutinize the details. Compare it to what your doctor has ordered. Make sure you're getting what you need for your condition. There are websites you can go to that will identify your meds for you; just google medication identifier. Drugs.com and rxlist.com are pretty helpful. I realize that this is a new pharmacy and they are still working the kinks out of the system. Still... I'm sorry for the rambling post. 4 Feb 2011 Just wanted to post an update. The pharmacy seems to be getting their act together- slowly. Now, only they had more convenient hours for pick-up. Closing at 6 pm on the weekends? Not vey convient. Also, it's near that awful Manor intersection. I won't park in the main lot because you can't see what's coming. It's much easier (and safer!) to park on the side of the building even if you need to park at the post office. read more

Pacifica has the worst Walgreens ever!!! I had dental surgery and dropped my prescription off for pain meds and antibiotics at 4:45pm. I was told it would be 1 hr. I kept calling for hours and was told it wasn't ready. At 8:50pm I called and it's finally ready. They never contacted me to let me know it was ready. I get there at 9:01 and am told it's closed. Another Walgreens won't fill my pain meds since Pacifica Walgreens has the prescription. Talk about incompetence!!! read more

This review is for the pharmacy. I transferred all of my family's prescriptions here after dealing with some very unprofessional BS from Pacifica's Rite Aid. This Walgreen's pharmacy is very professional. I've never had to deal with any attitude from the pharmacists or pharmacist assistants/cashiers. They have always been professional and respectful. Only once was my prescription not ready when I ordered it, and I had to wait 1/2 hr. I love the drive-through. With a young child and a herniated back a drive through is a gift from the Gods and a pharmacy team that doesn't make inappropriate jokes about the medications I'm picking up makes this place practically priceless. With a child that has a double ear infection. Dr transmitted the prescription to Walgreens. Got there and the the tech informs me that they have no record of the prescription. That they could talk to the doctors office over the phone, however since this was an after hours appt. there was no way to get the doctors office on the phone. So I drove back up to the Dr office. The confirmed they transmitted it and gave me a paper copy of the prescription. I called the Pacifica Walgreens to confirm they had the prescription. Terrible service for photo. They are either very understaffed or just inefficient. I waited for almost 30 min to get my photo printed and the lady kept running back and forth and helping others that arrived way later than me. They had to photoshop my photo which took forever, even though I told them I urgently need to go to my passport appointment. Flat out didn't care, and the icing on the cake when the guy printed out both pictures damaged. In one picture there was a visible damage to the photo paper on my eye and the other one had a scratch through my face. Not sure if accidental or passive aggressive but if I hadn't double checked I would have been screwed for my appointment. Avoid at all costs I'm not coming g back. read more

Very rude cashier. I was there on 1/25/17 at 6:45 PM to buy two bottles of Excedrin. I got to the counter and I was standing at the wrong register. Here is the conversation: Cashier: Over here (points at a second register) Me: Hi, how are you? Cashier: NO ANSWER Rings up the items. No mention of the amount. I paid, she gave me the receipt and looked at me silently, like she is expecting me to say "Thank you" Normally, I would, but she was so rude that I just took my items and left. Basically, the only phrase she uttered during the whole transaction was "OVER HERE". That would not be so bad, but her finale was silently making eye contact (finally) as to say "Are you going to say thank you to me?" Come on Walgreens! That is rude and unacceptable. Okay, I'm totally a fan of Walgreens! Yup, this location has 35mm film processing (maybe all Walgreens do?) BUT that's not why I'm writing this review. So, I had to fill a very expensive prescription and the insurance only covered $60 of a $200+ prescription. After spending the weekly grocery money on a RX I hope to never use I realized it expired in less than a year, um if I'm spending this much I better get something that has a shelf life of at least 2 years! So I brought it back to the counter, told the guy the situation and he went in the back to check all the other expiration dates. Unfortunately they were all the same date. He then called their warehouse/supplier and asked them to check there stock, WOW, I wasn't expecting that but it was all the same date. Bummer! This is to the friendly staff at the pharmacy department who tried to work with me. Oh, you damn Doctors! Getting kick-backs from the drug companies, shame on you! read more

Avoid like the plague! Horrible service, and they have everything under the sun except the one thing you go in there to find. They have everything and nothing. Worst of all is the pharmacy. They expected me to wait up to 2-3 months for a Shingles vaccination (which is understandable because the vaccine is back ordered and there is a waiting list) but here's the kicker, once your name is called you only have 24-48 hours to get it or they move on to the next person and you have to wait in line for months all over again. I travel for business so I won't know for sure in advance if I am even going to be in town when my name is called. Truly deplorable service, fuck them. They should tear that building down and put the old Pacifica Theater back in there. read more

The photo service here is incompetent. They barely speak English and every time I pick something up it's lost. I cannot believe I let myself come back continuously to this location. This officially will be my last time that I come. After an hour in the store still no one knows how to operate the photo department or where my stuff is.
