My girls and I have been spoiled with Etude House, Missha, Innisfree, Tony Moly, Nature Republic, Holika Holika and Skinfood beauty products and cosmetics. Asian women are the biggest spenders on beauty products. They have impeccable skin - as one would expect from a rigorous 5-8 step cleansing regimen vs westerners 3 basic steps of cleanse, tone, moisturize. Because Korea has less red tape, they have access to science based, result driven skin and beauty products a good decade before we get it here. This is why I love the suitcase full of things my aunt brings me. I have been shopping at Kukje market for a long time. I never thought to go to the beauty area - Joy Cosmetics (and Amore Pacific Skincare brands) because I didn't recognize any brand names of the items I get from Korea. Shiseido doesn't count because I can buy that anywhere. Amore Pacific Skincare brands are sold at both Sephora and Nordstrom. Laneige is sold at Target. BUY THOSE HERE. Ask the ladies here who are familiar with the products because they have used them for years. Give your money to this specialty mom and pop. Right? Right. Well, I've done the legwork and bought a lot of things in different trips, tried many samples, and took the time to really use the products I bought to determine if I'd repurchase or not and if it compared to what I got from my aunt. For now, just spare yourself the headache and stay away from this place if you are trying to purchase expensive Korean products or try to receive advice on which products to use. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for over a year when I've continued to purchase the same brand. They've recommended a pricy product in the same line regiments. The message was always conveyed that I have sensitive skin, and I broke out in hives, as they've provided misinformation and failed to accept the product in return for the original brand that I've used for a year. My most recent communication shows me that they have no real interest in customer satisfaction and quality product and service. It's just been so bad, and every opportunity has resulted in more disappointment when you spend thousands of dollars for facial maintenance at this store. I love how there are so many different products to choose from and Anna is so so HELPFUL and KIND!!!! Best costumer service ever!! I came to shop, the lady name Rose, before I walkout she stopped me and accusing me of stealing a products from them. I can't believed her, she get on my nerves. Wanted to open my handbag to see if I steal something. After I let her check my handbag and found out I did not took anything, she just said bye, and never apologized. This message is for the older woman, I believe she is the owner. I do my food shopping at the market every week and dine at the BBQ restaurant inside the market quite often. I love Anna!!! She sure do know her products very well! Her Korean beauty products are A++++!!!!! She knows what products I need exactly just by looking at my skin. Also, she's willing to give some samples out for you to try to test out the product of it really works for you before buying her products, which can beer very expensive. I have very sensitive skin so she recommended me to use there Whoo line.. and omg... It changed my life! Over used so many different other brands, such as Shiseido, Dior, E.L, Lancome etc... Nothing worked. I would break out or get rashes. The Whoo isn't the highest brand in Korea, but it is pretty pricy, however, you only have 1 face and you can't stay young forever. But these products will at least slows down my aging process and keep my face looking fresh. With these Korean beauty products, I barely need to use any makeup because my face looks like o already have make up on cuz it's so smooth and white.
