I met an "angel" at your Maplewood CVS store today. Her name is "Hazera." This young lady was…read morepatient and kind throughout our telephone conversation regarding my medication prescription. Hazera went above and beyond her call of duty. At the end of the day, Hazera expedited my prescription order and had my medication ready within the hour. I could not wait to meet this angel, as I was in pain and used the last of my meds two days ago. I went inside the CVS and asked to speak with Hazera and her supervisor. The staff looked as if something was wrong. Once Hazera came from the front, I introduced myself from our telephone conversation; she knew who I was. She smiled as I did, and I then asked her for a hug. Hazera said yes, and we then hugged each other as I thanked her profusely for her compassion and empathy. I even attempted to give her $20 for her lunch, but she did not accept it. She said I can do the survey instead. This was my pleasure for Hazera to be recognized and praised for making the world a better place, especially today. May God bless CVS for hiring Hazera.

The pharmacy has long been a disaster with long waits at both in store and the drive through. The drive through is no longer. There's a sign that tells you to go in instead. I went in one day and the line was almost 10 deep. The dead flowers for sale are the cherry on top. I've complained to corporate who resolved to fix the wait times, but it's actually gotten worse. So now I'm moving my prescriptions to mail order through my health insurance pharmacy.

Located right next to the Newark Police Department's Vailsburg Task Force headquarters, I'd venture to say this location also enjoys a better-than-average security record. The sign out front advertises a drive-through pharmacy window, though I have yet to see anyone actually motor on through. When they supervisor is around, service seems to be a little better than other times. Although the checkout lines do move relatively quickly, they'll sometimes get backed up due to the lack of adequate staffing. Yet it's only a minor inconvenience for an otherwise welcome neighborhood amenity.

Doesn't feel like they're serving a community feels like a 3rd world country instead serving a war zone. I walked in the other day to purchase an OTC topical antibiotic to find everything in the entire store placed behind a fake bulletproof plexiglass. I couldn't even shop for myself to read the label to be sure if this was something that I really needed to purchase. Only one person was there to assist but was busy doing a money order. I waited 20 minutes just to ask if they had what I needed, only to be taunted with what I asked for then threatened and called the police on me because I complained about waiting so long. Probably not from this country because everyone knows not to use 911 with customer complaints. The police have better things to do sweetheart. Really needs Customer service training immediately to learn to handle it better and not so poorly next time. Again, very uprofessional an unorthodox type of behavior shown to a customer when working in a pharmacy where people come for help. lady seemed very miserable as well as hateful.

Most of the other ones couldn't/ wouldn't give me an approximate cost for the prescription. However, this place did. The pharmacist was so nice when I asked about the approximate price. He told me to fax in the prescription and that he would call me back. Within 10mins I knew what it would cost and with an hour it was ready. I got to the pharmacy and they explained everything to me and how to use the prescription. The staff genuinely cares and truly helpful
