The is the slowest pharmacy. They never answer the phone and just when you think you got through - they'll hang up on you. Prescription was sent to the pharmacy and I get there and theyre like 20 min. I go home because my daughter is sick and she needed to lay down - figured I'd go home a come a little later. I'm literally in the drive up lane (about 2.5 hours later) writing this review and they are actively looking for the prescription. Really wish my insurance would have let me stay with CVS. read more

Great store! I didn't use pharmacy. People who work in the store are very nice and courteous. The store is clean orderly and typical Walgreens' nice. I ordered 4x6 prints and came in at about 12.30 without notification to pick up my order because I was in the area for a short time and online estimate was 12.05 pm. It wasn't ready. I explained my situation and the associate in the photo department was kind to print my 50 photos next asking to wait about 7 mins. Of course, we shopped a bit while waiting with my little son. We paid for our purchase right there at the photo department counter which is very convenient. The associates were very friendly and we had a few laughs about my 4 year olds choice of sunshades on this bright but extremely cold winter day. My 4x6 photo prints came out great - quality and color. So overall experience was very pleasant! read more

The worst pharmacy ever. I used to go to the one in Ramsey but since I moved to Wayne this one is closer. They can never get my prescriptions right. They always give me the wrong dosage and tell me that my Dr needs to call for a refill and the Dr already called. I have had so much trouble with this pharmacy that I'm going to change to CVS in 2026. Make sure to check your meds before you leave. Better yet, go somewhere else. read more

Since moving to Oakland two years ago this pharmacy has been nothing but a headache. I am about to switch pharmacies even though this Walgreens is 0.5miles from my house. 3 days now I have been trying to get someone on the phone. Today I was on hold for 10 minutes and then the call dropped, called back and someone picked up and said "please hold" three times until they finally dropped the call 25 minutes later. I will end up stopping in there later tonight but what about the elderly people who can't as easily hop in the car to clear up an insurance issue? The insurance is a whole different issue. I filled a prescription 2 weeks ago with my "new" insurance that I have had since January and updated with the pharmacy as soon as I got it. I then tried to fill something end of last week and they magically lost record of me having coverage. I was hoping to come here and write a bad review and maybe if there were a few, management would see them and make a change as that has been my experience in the past with writing reviews. But there are SO many reviews here that it seems no one cares about the people trying to get their medications when they are at vulnerable points in their lives, not the pharmacists, and not the management. The pharmacy should NOT be the icing on the cake of already stressful experiences people are going through. read more

I have experienced a problem with the pharmacy. My wife had suffered an acute injury. A script for prednisone was dropped at the store. After many hours, i called to check status, and was informed they did not have it in stock. I would not be able to get med for 3 days. No phone call, no option to go to another Walgreens We had to request the script be sent to another pharmacy. Filled within the hr. Today Dr sent a script for opioid since herpain is acute. She is to be admitted to hosp for a procedure. tomorrow. I again called for status I was on hold for 2.5 hrs. He called the mgr at the store and was told they are under staffed. Inexcusable! He went to the pharmacy and the script was filled in one hr. We will find a new Walgreens and transfer our script to them. I am a MD my wife an RN. If we ever treated our pts with such disregard, we would rightfully be sued. Do Better! read more

I never write reviews but they used to be a decent pharmacy a couple years ago but now they're absolutely terrible. Walgreens needs to fire everyone in there and start from scratch. I'm trying to transfer my prescriptions and even the new pharmacy warned me that they are having issues getting anyone on the phone or return a phone call. I can't believe how poorly this pharmacy operates. I waited 25 minutes last month on the drive up just getting regular refills. I had to get off the line that had only 3 cars in fro t of me only to have to return the next day inside and wait another 15 with 1 person before me. Now I have new prescriptions because my dosages changed and I can't get anyone on the damn phone to make sure they got new scripts 3 weeks ago and I'm 2 doses out from having none. This is soooo aggravating and not one person in that pharmacy cares or even apologizes for any inconvenience. It's become a full time job just getting your scripts refilled!!! I've been on the fence about leaving this pharmacy for a few months and yesterday's experience sealed its fate. I pull around to the drive thru and notice there's one car there. Cool- I should be on my way momentarily. Right? NOPE. 10 minutes go by and nothing. I finally call the pharmacy and am told that the car in front of me is getting a rapid COVID test. They have to wait in the drive through for 15 minutes because Walgreens can't let them leave- in case they have a reaction- (what?!) I said can't you have them wait in the parking lot? I need to get to work! (Keep in mind this is a single lane- I can't go around them) NOPE- they need to wait at the window. Thank you, Walgreens, for making me late for work. I've been sitting in my car for 30 minutes with my infant waiting for the curbside pickup people to come out to my car. Curbside pickup has been a great service since I have small infant. Most other places such as target or other locations have a 5 min wait or usually much less but why offer this service if you can't come out in 30 minutes to deliver a bag. I was very satisfied with my dinner choice! My waitress provided my table with free refreshments as soon as we walked through those beautiful sliding glass doors. Their green tea (hence the name) is fantastic, and you can't beat their top selling appetizer, the deep fried Walgreens Walnuts. My boredom was ephemeral at most, credited to the live music show put on by Green Day. Good Riddance to my struggling lungs as the establishment prescribed me an inhaler (the concert smoke got to me) to make sure I was Still Breathing, or else this may have been my Last Night on Earth. pharmacy help is always different when I go there except for one woman. maybe that is why they are so disorganized and unhelpful. I have decided not to use them anymore to fill prescriptions. Considering this is a pharmacy that specializes in healthcare products, vaccines and other health related products, the mens restroom has been unbearably filthy and stinks beyond belief. We have complained to corporate but to NO AVAIL!! In addition the outside of the store has a broken trash can with garbage strewn all over. The worst pharmacy! I went to drive up window on 4/6 6:15 pm for a friend who is sick. The women who was working was just horrible. First she couldn't understand me, then couldn't understand that the person I was picking up for had a hyphen in her name, kept telling me no prescription. She wouldn't look up her address because I didn't have her DOB. She wouldn't look at my phone for the info, then finally after 15 min she found it & made me pay when I had a paid receipt. Disaster say away at all costs! New to the area and this pharmacy is across the street from my primary care doctor and new a Starbucks thought it would be easy, far from it. Always greeted, and everything is always in order....I want to say that I've witnessed the patrons who wait for their scripts treat the pharmacy techs like they aren't humans...I feel bad because the only time I need something it's for a cold or something minor... I don't mind waiting or coming back but people here abuse the workers and most of them look like pill junkies! Even posting a one star for this store is just too high of a rating!! The pharmacy is not helpful at all when it comes to coupons or trying to reduce your cost for scripts. Today I called to see if a script was filled and was caught in a loop that did not allow me to even choose the key on my phone keypad.... ugh!! One star for the pharmacy, because this department is understaffed and the employees overworked. Service is extremely slow because of this. The people who work here a cordial and take care of your needs once you get to the window but the wait is really long and they make you get back in line again if your prescription isn't ready when you first come for it. I love walgreens I always shop the two in wayne as well as the one in Lincoln park and west milford but as much as I love this company and the numerous locations I've been to even this one getting to this store from Any direction and getting outta the parking lot is a complete trip to Hell! Who ever designed. The location and access points for this oakland Walgreens was either drunk on drugs or both either that or they had a really sick sense of humor or a grudge against the town of oakland itself or someone who works for the town planning board! Seriously I've actually have gotten lost trying to get out of the parking lot! This is no joke the store is in the middle of access points for 287 skyline drive colfax ave 208/Ramapo valley rd and 202 yawpa rd plus it's a nightmare! Thank goodness I still love the store and the ppl that work there cause each time I go I feel like getting in and out of the parking lot puts my life at risk! This pharmacy isnt exactly speedy, but they make up for it by always being friendly, accurate, competent, and by being willing to go out of their way to make your experience a good one.
