Once again, I don't want to fill you with false hope of walking into a place with expectations of being treated nicely; you'll get a straight faced "ya'll need help?", and then the workers will begin to talk about you in Creole and follow you around the store. Anyway, I like to keep my hair natural (no perms, relaxers, wigs, weaves or blowouts) so I found some organic coconut oil for $3 (which you will not find at your average beauty supply store, or drugstore), while my mom and sister put down a solid $90 on wigs. To be clear, the average wigs here are between $25-50, so you can do fine on a budget. Don't get me wrong, some women spend $90 at a one-time visit to the salon, and my mom and sister will get at least 100good wears out of these "100% human hair" wigs. And when they don't feel like touching their actual hair, well, they'll just put one of those awesome wigs on and look like they could do a photo shoot! Rambling aside, you deserve a fair warning that for the great and rare products, you'll want to go with friends. It's a questionable location, and for those who are not familiar with Miami, "questionable"=possibly dangerous neighborhood after dark. It is North Miami (and right next to Little Haiti) after all. But it's right next to a popular drugstore, so park in the safe parking lot with 1-4 friends and check it out. :D
